Yukina,"he called after her. At first he wasn't sure whether to follow or not, but he decided to. He stood a respectable distance from the door, "Yukina, it will get better... I mean, they won't chase us forever, they can't..." he said, stumbling to find the right words.

Yukina was sitting on the floor with her back against thedoor."sur it will..",she muttered and rested her chin on her knees and she stared out the bathroom window.

"If... If you want, we can go out awhile. Test the waters, so to speak..." he said, looking at the floor. "It's just, it's only been one day since we've been out of their reach, and we need to be careful...." he said.

Yukina sighed."then for now just forget about it",she said and stood up and turned on the water for a shower.

"Yukina, come on! Don't be mad at me!" he pleaded through the door. She obviously was, since she was giving him the cold shoulder like that.

Yukina looked at the door."im not mad at you .. just the whole situation",she said as she felt the tempreture of the water."it sucks",she said softly.

Kevin sighed, "I know," he yelled, "I know" he repeated a little quieter. He didn't know what to do, he just wanted her to be happy... and he had never been in this position before. It had always been about survival, and mostly that of himself after James' death, but when Yukina showed up so many years later... Kevin's priorities had changed, and he was walking into it blindfolded. He'd never known a woman other than the lady-scientists, and he certainly had never had feelings for one before. This was all too new to him. He didn't know what moves to make and which to avoid like the plague.

Yukina staied in the shower,reaxing .She was soon done and getting out she looked at her clothse.They would need knew ,ones so they wouldnt be wearing dirty clothse anymore.Sighing she put her old ones back on and opening the door she came out.

When Yukina didn't respond, Kevin went back to his bed, flopping down on it and staring at the ceiling. He heard the bathroom door open, but he didn't move, instead he closed his eyes. He wasn't sure what to say to her at that point.

Yukina blinked seeing him not respondand frowned.Great ... i probably just ruined everything",she thought sadly and going into the kitchen stareted to get food together to make them breakfest...lunch...whatever.

He heard her rustling in the kitchen and propped himself on his elbows, looking into the small bit of what he could see of the room from where he lie on his bed. "Do you want help?" he asked a little unsure. He couldn't see what she was even doing in there, occasionally he could catch a glimpse of her hand, but that was all. He didn't move while he waited for an answer.

Yukina laughed.And poked her head put."no i think ive got it",she said hapily.

Kevin smiled a bit and flopped back down, "If you're sure. Call me when you need me." she said.

Yukina smiled."will do..."

"Okay." Kevin said a bit quieter, then rolled onto his stomach. He sat up a moment later and grabbed the remote, turning on the television and began flipping through the channels. Eventually he found something that was remotely interesting to him. It was a movie, and when he stopped on the channel it was on, there seemed to be an exchange of heated words between a man and woman, something over another woman. He wondered if he and Yukina would ever get like that. He doubted it- there probably would never be another woman.

Yukina smiled as she winished up and placed to plates full of food on a tray and headed over to Kevin."hope your hungry"

Kevin sat up on the bed and looked at her, smiling and surprised, "Yeah, thanks. Where'd you learn to cook?" he asked.

"truthly ... no idea...it was like instickt",she said with a smile."i hope it taste good",she said sitting down on the bed cross legged.

Kevein picked something up with his fork and put it in his mouth as she answered. When he swallowed, he laughed, "Well, your instinct tastes amazing." he said. "You're eating too, right?" he asked.

Yukina smiled seeing that he liked the food and then also took a bite.

He laughed, swallowing the next bite he had taken, "Take that as a yes." he said.

Yukina smiled at him then frowned."im sorry ... about earlyer",she said softly looking down.

"What do you mean?" Kevin asked softly, "What are you sorry for?"

"acting like a brat ....",she sadi softly."and putting you through more stress"

"You weren't being a brat. I upset you, it was my fault." he told her.
