Pet hair!
Who here has a problem with their lovely, wonderful, sweet litte furry companions shedding their coats all over the place? I do. I love my little guys (I have a sweet little girl Pug named Precious a.k.a Puppy and a sweet, fat calico cat named Chevy a.k.a Kitty). I love these guys just to pieces; Puppy is such a sweethearted little thing who love attention and cuddles. Kitty is just great to curl up with on a chilly day and read. Their both amazing. :heart:
But they shed like crazy. I'll pet Puppy, and I end up wearing her. :( It's the same with Kitty. So, what about you guys? Pet shedding stories? |
I wear mostly black, and i have an orange tabby. need i say more?
Actually i have two other cats but their coats are not such an odd color so it does not show up as easily. |
My brother has a medium-sized mixed breed dog, and he was living temporarily in my parent's other home. When we went there one summer, the entire house was literally blanketed in dog fur. It was hectic. It took us about six hours just to get rid of all the basic hair flying around, and it was a tiny house. I don't think I'll be getting a dog or cat or mammal as a pet any time soon after that episode -___-;

Ugh, that's rough. I dont' know what I'd do without my Puppy, but seriously, it would get annoying if our how was blanketed in her fur. Kitty isn't as bad, though, she is a long haired cat. ><// @ Gary:: :lol: Aww! I love orange kitties! I've always wanted one. But I find my calico beautiful. Her fur is so soft and her tummy is always cleaned to a perfect glossy white. x_x |

I was getting ready for school and I sit down on the couch to find all hair on the back of my new trousers, i took them off and started to pull them off, only to find that my cat had fell asleep on my jumper i had left on the arm couch, so i pulled her off of it, leaving loads of cat hairs on my jumper, i get one of those sticky toilet paper things with the handle and start to weave them off, i get them all off and go to school, everyones staring at me because i didnt quite... manage to get them all off so I just told them the truth and Wolah, everyone laughed at me hysterically... not making that mistake again (: |
My little Pomeranian Chihuahua, Paco, sheds a bit, but it's not too bad.
His fur is blond so it's only bad when I wear black and hold him. It also only gets on the couches so I usually have a furry bum, haha. @ Clair Voyant I didn't think that Pugs would shed so much o_O |
Yeah, tell me about it. I was sore for three days after all the scrubbing and sweeping. :sweat:
Makes me wonder if there's a way of keeping the pets from shedding too much, other than shaving them bald...:( |
I have three dogs, and three cats and wooden floors, so we get fur balls all over the floor. I have to dust mop the whole house everyday to get rid of all the hair. I only do my room every week. Needless to say that when it's getting close to sweeping time again, my room is pretty hairy.

I have a black cat named Magic Fluffball (I let my 6 year old niece name him) and he LOVES to rub himself up against everyone. Well when my fiancee's cousin got married, he wondered into the changing room and rubbed himself all over her nice white dress. Luckily she wasn't a crazy bride so she just laughed it off. But the bottom of her skirt was like a gray-black.... XD

My dogs don't shed too badly, thank godness. Max (my kitten) is a black cat so even if he does shed it doesn't show up on my clothes. Heh, Hooray for dark colors, but my female cat, Lucy, she's like crazy and she's a blonde cat.

I left for collage a good 3 weeks ago..and I'm still picking wads of out dogs hair out of my stuff. ><
We have a black lab and an Amstaff, both shed like crazy..Camis brendel so her fur shows up on darker surfaces and dixies fur...well coated the floor. x.x It was horrible, you had to empty the vacuum several times before getting the floor done, and in a few days it was like you never vacuumed. |
I have had two extremely furry cats. One of them is dead now ( T_T ) but my new cat is just the same - fur everywhere.
The problem is if you don't groom your pets properly, they will shed everywhere. There's this handy little thing called "the furminator" (no lie) and it works GREAT. Once or twice a week is all you need to comb your pet with and they shed MUCH MUCH less. It's especially good when they're shedding their winter coats in the summer. If you brush them with it or any pet grooming brush, they're less likely to over heat. |
My cat Midnight sheds large amounts of black hair all over the house. It's super gross, because there's like floaty balls I have to clean all the time. Xo Anyway, all my pets shed a lot, I think because it's too hot here. I should brush them more often. >.>; The staircase is all hairy...they always sleep on it...

I have four cats. It's getting pretty bad. I need to start brushing them everyday again. It would also help if I had a good vacuum cleaner. |

I have three animals in the house; Two longhair cats, and one meatball-- :COUGH: I mean beagle-- and I literally cant sit in my house without getting fuzz on me. I recall one day I was going to a friend's birthday party in the city and I had on some dark jeans. I sat on my couch and immediately my dog decides to jump up and rub all over me because she wanted to play. I had to change clothes before my mother would let me out of the house "looking like I was a dog myself" XD;; I dont really have as much of a problem with my blanket of pet hair as my parents do, though ^^ |
I have a ginger cat and a black fluffy cat, all my black bags are ginger and any white tank top he can find gets turned black. Most of my clothes are dark coloured which isn't so much of a problem with the black one, I used to have a fluffy white cat who jumped on me as soon as I got home from school, my navy blue school jumper was white in seconds.

I've just got my kitten named Twitch but he sheds everywhere. My pants for work are dark blue and I've got orange/white hair on them from the knees down. I've just started keeping a lint roller brush in my lunch bag so I can remove the hair when I get to work.

I have a tabby and white cat, longhaired too.
It isn't very fun when he sheds all of his fur over me. Expecially since pretty much everything I own is black, and white really does show :| |
I don't have a doggy or a kitty anymore (:() but I have a few funny stories from when I had them xD
One time I took my Laborador Retriever to my mum's friend's place for a while, and she let Sandy stay inside because it was raining and she didn't have a porch. Anyways, me and my sister kept patting Sandy and playing with her and stuff, and... well, we were held responsible for the fine layer of white, slightly smelly dog fur that littered every surface in the woman's lounge room. ^^; Mum took Sandy home while me and Jenni vacuumed :P Hmm, I didn't really tell that story all that well xD; |
Uhhh.. my cats shed like crazy..
i have a somewhat angry calico named Princess (it took her 7 years to even let us pet her, and now she only likes my boyfriend.. and will only come to me if I have his scent on me) and she sheds like.. I dont even know. And my long haired orange tabby, Spunky, isn't as bad with shedding, but when he does, its EVERYWHERE. Same with my mixed cat, Jin. (Idk, he has tabby and siamese, and some other thing). He has this massive feather duster tail, and when that thing sheds.. Oh god. The kitten hasn't started shedding yet.. My little Link is pure black <3 |
My boxer sheds really badly and the short hairs are really prickly

If you even touch my cat, Sofus, you'll get hair all over your hand. It's really irritating, cause I love to cuddle him, but I hate to get hair all over, so I don't do it as much as I have done before when he didn't shed that much : x

I have three cats, a tabby cat, a black fluffy cat, and a white fluffy cat.
And they're ALWAYS shedding fur. D: I mostly wear black, and the fluffy white cat's hair is on every item of clothing. I think she goes into my wardrobe and night and rolls around on my clothes. XD The black cat isn't so bad. He doesn't shed it when you pick him up. He just drops it all over the floor. The tabby cat does shed, but still not as much as the white fluffy cat. |
hmmm... i don't really have a problem with shedding, but i do know that all animals shed. i usually don't allow the two cats and two dogs that live here in my room. ]:
