"We are there, it is one of our refuges. but we are trying to make all the forests survive, or we will be trapped in the pocket of forests and die with them. Only our strongest can move from forest to forest."

Kai pressed the heels of her palms to her temples trying to think, her brain felt as though it were going to implode, she bit her lower lip while pacing from side to side whispering "think Kai you can do it.. think think think think.." but nothing was coming to her, all she could see were the beautiful people like shin dieing in their forests, crying out for this insanity to end.. this ultimately brought tears to her eyes

Shin moved over and embraced Kai. "Kai, my people have been working on this for generations. I would have been astounded if you had magically come up with the answer in ten minutes, don't blame yourself."

she nodded and shyly hugged her back "i.. i just want to help, i dont want you to die before your time.." she mumbled attempting to look up at her

Hogarth dropped back, from the conversation, his mind filling with thoughts, and looked for answers, passing questions back and forth to the sages and Wizards that where stuck inside his blade. His eyes closed, as his fingers passed over every inch of his blade, listening to the souls inside of it. He cared for these elements, he wanted to help them, but he felt like should find a plan on their own. All he was is a fighter, someone to take the life of another if Kai, or Nick had told him too, seeing how she closely resembled his sister, she would be the only one he would listen to beside Nick.

Shin sighed "My time may not yet be for hundreds and hundreds of years. Do not concern yourself overly."

kai nodded and blinked once before biteing her lower lip "i.. oo.. okay" hands shakeing she attempted to calm herself, trying desparately to shake her nerves, she then looked over at Hogarth noteing his contented position.

His eyes remained closed, his fingers slowly sliding to a stop, looking at his sister's soul, not asking her anything, just stopping to look at her, the chains around her sickened him. His eyes opened, his chest started sucking into its self, as he covered his mouth, dropping his blade as he stood, hiding his head behind the tree, as he started to puke, his abs squeezed against his stomach forcing anything he had eaten to be throw out of his system, and onto the ground, he stumbled away from the group. " I need some water." he said, walking towards the near by pound just down the creator inside the forest. he stumbled to his knees, soaking his face with water, with his cupped hands, and slowly drinking the water. He sat down on the bank, looking out at the sun as it bounced off the top of the lake's waves. He started thinking to himself, knowing they weren't that far away so if they had cried for help he would be there in a heart beat.

kai blushed and looked over at him seeing him in his truest time of need, there was nothing for her to do but watch helplessly, she again tilted her head wondering what happened, something sparked kai no she mumbled to herself then shook her head he's probably interested in nick when she talked to herself she made sure to be quiet then stared up at shin then at the sky there was nothing she could do, nothing anyone could do and she knew it.

Hogarth stretched, looking at the sky, watching the sun start to set behind the tree lines of the forest. He slowly started to real in his line, he waisted the rest of the day fishing, and was bringing back six fish, he had use betels, and worms, and other various of bugs that he found while looking under rocks and old dead tree stumps next to the water as bait, and was triumphant with six catches out of the six-teen bugs he had caught. His gripped fire wood under his arm, as he started walking up the hill and out of the creator to the others, he through the lumber on the ground, looking at everyone. "Hungry?" He asked, holding up the fish to see if they where at all interested, he didn't know if elements ate anything all he knew was he was hungry. he sat the fish on a rock as he started to form a small fire, using two flint rocks he found laying at the bank of the water he tucked dead grass between the wood, and gently started tapping the rocks together so that they created a spark, catching the dead grass on fire fallowed by the lumber. He neatly stuck each bass on a stick leaning them gently into the fire so that each one roasted inside the fire without burning. "All we do now is wait." He said, looking into the flames, thinking to himself, he started to day dream.

kai sat next to him then poked him once one of the fish caught fire "hogarth?" she asked pointing to it "was that your intention?" when she asked this her stomach growled angrily, needing food since she hadnt eaten in a few hours "are you hungry shin?" she called back to her

Shin shook her head "I don't eat. But I can get more food for you if you need it."

"i'm okay" she smiled and walked back over to Shin wrapping her arms around her again "thank you though and i will do anything i can to help you just ask and i'll help" she then walked back over to Hogarth waiting for the fish to cook.

Hogarth, looked at the fish on fire, quickly putting it out, before it had time to burn. "uh..of course I did that so it would cook faster." Hogarth said, carefully placing the fish back in to finish cooking all the way. His trans broken from Kai's poke. "So whats your story?" Hogarth asked, looking over his shoulder at Kai.

kai sunk into a scared position "i.. d.." when he asked she immediately froze unable to talk, she cleared her throat finally speaking "i was a slave since the age of six. My adoptive father traded me for money since we lived in a very poor town.. i guess he needed the money.. i was released just last year" hers was a sad story but of course she refused to go into any detail, who knows if anyone would abuse what she used to be.

Hogarth looked into the fire, not knowing what to say, he wasn't the type to give a dang about someone's past, or feel sorry for anyone he only cared for himself it was like that when he was growing up, the only one he trusted to watch his bad was himself, no one else would, and if they did they either turned him in or told on him.
it was a lesson from his father, his obstacles as a child where all made up constructed from his father. "He made me a beast." He said quietly, looking at the fire. His eyes shifted to the one on fire, as it turned a beautieful golden brown, he handed it to Kai. "Eat." Hogarth said, offering her a fish.

"thank you" she smiled shyly biteing into it, nibbling while she talked "what era did you come from?" when she asked this she noted his outfit, he was obviously regal, his stance and everything screamed it.

Hogarth, blinked. He didn't know his era all he knew was he was born, they never kept dates in his time."Era?" Hogarth questioned, taking another fish from the fire, and bitting into it. "What is an Era?" He asked, taking another bite, and looking at Kai. While at the same time pulling the other fish out of the fire, and far enough to be kept warm from it.

"i.. well it's a period of time, like right now the year is 2009, from the way you're dressed i believe that you may have traveled hundreds of years into the future" examining her words she giggled "that was really corny"

Hogarth looked down at his clothing. "This is the way everyone dresses." He said, blinking a little confused. "What does 2009 stand for?" He questioned, taking another bite, some what interested in this era thing. He turned to face her, trying to listen, and get some questions from her.

she giggled and stood up showing him her outfit, which consisted of a short sweater, shorts and legwarmers "actually this is what everyone dresses like now" she giggled "2009 stands for year two-thousand and nine, you are probably about one-thousand years into the future" she sat back down taking another bite from the fish.

Hogarth blinked, looking down at his clothing then hers. "You mean...Everyone wears dresses? and..What is a year? time? like day and night?" Hogarth blinked, biting into his fish. "Why would we make up things like time and years and eras, its like putting a collar on that gets tighter and tighter, why manage the days?" Hogarth asked, looking at her with a confused look.

kai winced at his analagy, rubbing her neck where hers once sat "um.. not everyone wears dresses, most women do though, they can also wear pants and work equally with men" she finished the fish, covered her mouth with stiffled a burp then let out a small yawn "w-well, it makes life easier i guess.. i dont know what time it is i dont wear a watch"

"It's a way of counting seasons. When you return to the season from which you began, it's a year. It can measure how your child grows, mark times of celebration and of loss, and be a point to brag about of survival."

kai nodded "thank you shin.. i-i had no idea how to even begin to explain it that way" when she spoke her voice was still shakey from the rememberance of a time when she was required to wear a collar.
