"Well, I don't dream a lot, the ones I do I can only remember bits and pieces, and some I don't even remember at all." Hogarth said, looking down at Kai. His eyes keeping a constant surveillance on the trees.

"no one's out there" she murmured suddenly feeling she was wrong, of course she was, she always was. She stopped short of saying sometihng else and turned around they're out there she thought, her body going rigid "we're safe for now" she mumbled

Hogarth Struggled to see, what they where. "And just what are they?" He asked, looking around, He kept his arms around Kai just in case, his hands ready to react to his blade that is placed on his waist, to protect Kai, and himself from them.

"slave catchers, bounty hunters, you name it, they've got the title" she trembled pulling herself further into his arms if possible, knowing their intention, but of course the three shadows figures lingered at the fringes of the land unsure of how to attack, unable to do so as of yet.

Hogarth watched the lines carefully, his arms tightening around her. "They think they are going to get you theyre sadly mistaken." Hogarth said, looking down at her with a smile. "I told you I wouldn't let anything happen to you." He continued, hugging her.

she smiled believing his every word, she leaned onto her toes and kissed his cheek tears welling in her eyes, she was so happy to have him, and had the feeling that they would be together for a very long time.. if they each survived what may happen next.

Nick watched the edge of the tree line as well. no they couldn't attack as of yet, they couldn't even enter the forest meaning harm. but that wouldn't hold them off for ever. all they'd need to do is distract Shin enough to allow them to get in and all hell would break lose. and he wasn't irritated with his sister he was just irritated in general. it looked like the knew guy made her so happy and frankly he wouldn't mind having something like that. he'd never actually DATED before. heck or had someone to call his own .. and to be truthful he was just a LITTLE, okay a lot, jealous of the fact.

kai looked up at him, eyes filled with worry and biteing her lower lip "big brother?" she whispered to him lightly rubbing her stomach "you'll find someone" she whispered looking around as if she were ashamed of herself but somehow overly joyed at the same time, her ears twitched and tail swayed.

I know I will one day. don't worry your self over me Kai. be happy while you can, because we both know happiness is fleeting and easily destroyed. his voice was calm and laced with love for his adoptive sister but he didn't come down from the trees. he was contemplating on how to keep this forest and his..new .. friends safe.

she nodded and contemplated the same things that her brother was, she bit her lower lip and stared up into his eyes then out to the edge of the forest.

Kai, if I ever tell you to run, you run, and fast don't stop for me, take your boy and run. alright? his mental voice was soft, but she'd get the dim sense he was hiding something from her. and don't worry, if i ever tell you to do that no matter where you go I'll find you.. I promise. promises..the easiest things to make and the hardest things to keep sometimes. he huffed in irritation. but pushed such thoughts away. then jumped down from the tree and slipped away into the forest looking for shin, they needed to Have a small Talk.

when kai opened her mouth to protest, he was already gone and she was standing there her arms wrapped around hogarth and his around her, she nodded softly hopeing each of them would be fine and live.

Nick gave up searching for Shin and laid down on the ground huffing in irritation.

When Satoshi awoke he looked up and saw that Hogarth and Kai were looking at something and Nick was nowhere to be found. Since he couldn't climb a tree with his injury he had to take the secondary approach and sneak behind whatever they were looking at.

"dont even think about it" kai put a stop to his thinking faster than she thought possible "satoshi, everyone here is safe for now, please, just enjoy it, dont get yourself injured any further"

Nick darted through the woods, learning them and in some case letting them learn him. he darted up a tree, to the very top and let out a.. well it wasn't a very panther like roar more like a lion as if shouting to the world 'here I am and here I stay'.

kai shrieked fear streaking through her "brother no!" that's when the others stepped forward, stepping through the forest and straight towards him, until of course one memeber broke the pack and ran at kai, she froze, looking up at hogarth who had seemily passed out again, she placed him in a safe area, in one of the many cavern's below the earth, she didnt want anything happening to him of course, she bit her lower lip and watched while the man hovered over her "where you going little girl?"

she shivered.

Satoshi saw the man hovering over Kai.

"Kai!"

Satoshi threw his katana while it was in its sheath to Kai without a second thought.

Kai immediately caught it and with skill and precision she leapt over the man's tall stature and over to nick was being being ganged up by two others "satoshi!" she shrieked "run, run far away, no.. better yet step over to the tree, it'll keep you safe" when she spoke she huffed attempting to keep herself calm but of course she couldnt when a dull pain shot through her, it was of course then that she noticed a throwing dagger was plunged into her back "nick!" she cried out while watching the two others shakeing the tree in an attempt to bring him down,

Nicks claws dug into the tree, and then he caught site of the dagger plunging into his adopted sisters back. cat gold eyes flared silver and then gold as rage flashed through him he snarled and shoved off of the tree, landing on the ground running and jumped up and over Kai to slam in to the man who had dared draw her blood and for once in his life nick ripped a humans throat out. not even giving it a second thought really. the man had harmed his sister. there for he died. he twisted and swiped his clawes at one of the others.

Kai pulled the dagger out of her back biteing her lower lip she threw it at Ray's sister, unfortunately she caught it, licking the blood off of the metal "mm.." she hummed walking over to Nick she grinned, the ownership was obvious at that point, he belonged to her "behave" she growled

Nicks body jerked as if he'd been slapped and went ridged, but his eye's where boiling with rage. this women had no idea what she was messing with and he wasn't SCARED of her. Go to hell.. he spat and a paw full of claws lashed out to rake at the woman's stomach.

she growled catching his paw and throwing him to the ground with enough force to shatter his shoulder, she wasnt happy, no of course not, she'd inherited the slave boy and he was deliberately disobeying her, or maybe.. Her brother growled low in his throat staring down at the panther "behave" he growled with obvious authority, his tone matching ray's fully.

Kai ran up to the woman impaling her with the blade then swiftly slicing her head off, it tumbled to the ground forever stained with the expression of shock.
