I loved choir in church. We also had a choir in high school.
I was in our female trio also. I sang alto.

Vyrania 08-12-2009 07:08 PM

Disney Candlelight is part of the annual holiday celebration around Disney world/land/...Epcot.

During a certain period, choirs that auditioned and were accepted are invited to sing on various days in the evening. It's really gorgeous, because they put everyone in colored robes and arrange the choirs to look like a Christmas tree.

They call it the Candlelight Processional because all choral members hold a (fake) candle as they file through the crowd to the stage. I can't remember if you have to hold them through the whole performance, though. >>

At our school, we'd have gone nuts for the opportunity to sing anything modern. Most all of our music was in Latin. ><

RagDollCity 08-12-2009 07:12 PM

@vyrania: wow but our stuff was cheesy i mean the choreagraphy was bad and we always had a concert around christmas and they were alway christy song. but if it was the spring concert they sucked horribly there was stuff no one had heard of

i love being in choir when i was in school
well i hope people well still go on even if there in school

Quantum Angel 08-12-2009 07:14 PM

Heh, I feel so alone...the only "choir" I was ever in was a very quickly organized one at summer camp when I was 14, before any of my real vocal training. I was second alto...I probably should have been tenor though, since I had an issue with dropping an octave or so when trying to sing with other people back then.

Sad thing is, this was...an all girls summer camp. XD;

I've always wanted to go into choir again, but my only option would be the church, and...I actively practice a traditional Eastern religion...and I live in one of those really...uppity Christian neighborhoods. Despite the fact that I have no issues with their beliefs...they keep insisting I'm a devil worshiper. =___=;;; People.

RagDollCity 08-12-2009 07:14 PM

see i dont like some of the sings but i join cuz i like to sing

Oriana25 08-12-2009 07:17 PM

At least you had choreography. Every piece we had involved standing still on the bleachers and singing depressing Christian/latin songs. Except Mairi's Wedding (there were a few claps) and Oh, My Love is Like a Red Red Rose (where we had to walk to the front of the stage with our eyes closed. OMO

Mostly Christian, except the one Holocaust song, which was even more depressing.

Quantum Angel 08-12-2009 07:22 PM

@Oriana: I did for a couple of years. Mainly because...I had nothing else to do. Like I said, my town is less than a mile square, has a population of roughly 2000 at the time...everything here is designed for tourists; there's nothing really fun to do around here by the time you're old enough to remember what you had for breakfast yesterday.

It's sad; I work at the library...people go there because it is, no exaggeration, indisputably THE most exciting place in town if you're not old enough for/not into drinking until you puke and make an idiot of yourself.

It's a little weird, yes.

Is it bad that I keep singing a song from HSM2? ._.
