Hmm...

Japanese cheesecake.

This is something I should look in to.

I gotta be honest though.. When someone says cheesecake, my first thought isn't even of like... cheesecake, the food. It's of pinup girls. xD

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 08-07-2009 06:07 AM

wtf cheesecakes arent sluts xD

Iro 08-07-2009 06:08 AM

Why pinup girls? O.O

Squid 08-07-2009 06:11 AM

http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...erm=cheesecake

That's why.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 08-07-2009 06:12 AM

i hate urban dictionary D:

they make up absolute crap that isnt true

Iro 08-07-2009 06:15 AM

Interesting.... o_o

*promptly erases definition from mind*
I'd like not to think of pinup girls when eating cheesecake. xD

Squid 08-07-2009 06:18 AM

I like pinup girls

;3;

What do you lot have against pinup girls!?

Iro 08-07-2009 06:19 AM

Nothing against them. Just that I may choke/start laughing/have a weird expression while eating them in the future. Call it avoiding a Q&A session. xD

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 08-07-2009 06:20 AM

i like a good pinup just as much as the next girl lol but i dont like them associating that sexyness to such a sweet treat

*is kinda innocent but not really*

Squid 08-07-2009 06:32 AM

Bawww.

I had a post typed up, and the Menewsha died. And I lost the post.

:c

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 08-07-2009 06:33 AM

i'm gonna go to bed now, bye bye!!!

Iro 08-07-2009 06:33 AM

Yes, Menewsha died for one or two minutes for me as well. It happens once a day around this time if I'm not mistaken. Server backup and all. :)

Good night, Shizuki!

Ahnmik 08-07-2009 06:35 AM

Hello! Are we required to post recipes, or just post?

Iro 08-07-2009 06:38 AM

There is no need to post recipes, Ahnmik. You can just post normally. ;)

Of course, we won't begrudge you if you have a recipe to share. Just remember to quote it if you do!

Squid 08-07-2009 06:42 AM

Oh, I didn't know that.

I'm ashamed to admit... That I'm of the sort who becomes most active during events.

Oh thank you! Hehe I just made a Gyoza recipe, and was going to post it if anyone would like me to.

Ferra 08-07-2009 06:55 AM

@Ahnmik: Please do, I'd love to make my own gyozas! :3 Those are yummy!

My team totally lost xD

No winning or losing teams this time around Squid! You can't pick a "winning" or "losing" team. Not possible!

Then how does the event work with the different groups? o-o;

Iro 08-07-2009 07:04 AM

@Squid:
Haha Most of us become post active when it's closer or during events anyway. xD

@Ahnmik:
Gyoza! :drool:
Oh, I certainly won't say no to THAT recipe.

Ahnmik 08-07-2009 07:06 AM

@Ferra; okay, here ya go!

Quote:

1 Pound Ground Pork
1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp Teriaki Sauce
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Cloves Garlic (grated)
1 Inch Ginger (grated)
3 Scallions (green onions) Chopped
1 Cup Thinly Sliced Cabbage

Wanton Wrappers or Gyoza Skins

Sauce:
Equal parts; Soy Sauce, Teriaki, Lemon juice.
1-2 Tbsp Honey or Brown Sugar
1-2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

Combine porn, soy sauce, teriaki, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl and kneed until smooth, then add the cabbage and onions until well combined. Spread about 1/2 Tbsp of the filling into a wonton wrapper or gyoza skin with the edges wet with water and pleat the edges together to seal in the filling.

Put a frying pan on medium/high heat and add some sesame oil to the pan, put the gyoza in the pan and add 1/2 cup of water, and cover for 6 minutes. Uncover and add a little more oil between the gyozas, and wait 2-3 more minutes until the bottom is brown and crispy. Serve with the sauce (warm the sauce in the microwave before serving).

Store extra filling in the fridge covered with plastic wrap for up to 4 days.

Mingnon 08-07-2009 07:11 AM

Not sure about the Gyoza, but I would like to try some Dango, or Mochi.

That is, if I can. o3o

*was looking up this 'Gyoza'*

Squid 08-07-2009 07:12 AM

I don't know what gyoza is.

At CK, oh... That wasn't explained in the announcement, was it? I... might have only skimmed through it xD

Can you tell us anything about the event this time around? What about a start date?

Are event currencies ever going to be brought back again? I miss being able to buy things with something OTHER than gold. I don't have much gold to go around :c

I feel the same. Last year's winter event notwithstanding, though... >.<

CK 08-07-2009 07:16 AM

Poo, you'll know the answers to most of those questions when the event starts! I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on event store currency, but it will eventually come back for some events. :)

The sign-ups page tells you the dates! Starts August 8th, ends August 15th. :P

Teams aren't the major part of the event, you just get to play with some fun little things if you do. Wait for the event to actually start. XD
