@wish - I'm with you on the sushi. What makes things worse is that in addition to fish eggs and raw fish, which I just don't like not matter how much I try it, I don't like avocados or cucumbers, which are staples in sushi! And nori paper is icky. Just my personal tastes.

I love tempura though. You can tempura just about anything and I'll eat it.

Teriyaki steak and chicken is mouthwatering, but I love the scallops I get when I go to a restaurant. and the noodles are very delicious <33 Udon <333

winter; LOL! me either. i usually get like teriyaki rolls. and 2 fills me up. ;_; but they're big so yeah. the vinegar in the rice makes me sick after a while. :( as well as the soggy seaweed. hehe

cookie; LOL! omg. i found someone just like me! <33 no one understands why i can't eat it. whenever i do eat it, i get the inari rolls, which is that soybean wrap thing and the rice inside.

do you guys have genki sushi where you live? ^^; i wasn't sure if it was a local hawaii thing or an america thing!

Yeah. xD I have mostly overcome my craving for it though with fruits and veggies. Especially apples and oranges. xD
For some reason i cannot get enough of them.

@wish: Yay! *glomps* I never wanted to be one of those people who didn't like sushi cause it was raw and I was just being close minded, so I've tried it lots of times and always been grossed out. I embarrassed my friends one time by spitting it out on a plate. Urg. It was so bad. It was mirugai (geoduck) sushi (the clam that looks like a big...hot dog >_>). Yucky.

We have a few Japanese places that serve dishes besides sushi. One of them even serves mochi ice cream! I eat there more for the red bean mochi ice cream than the rest of the food XD

That was easier then I thought it would be .__. I've probably missed something significant.

Wish- Soggy seaweed is nasty. xD I haven't seen genki sushi in my area though. We have Tako Sushi. xD
I love carrots, tomatoes(I consider these fruit though), broccoli, snow peas, and green beans. Occasionally corn. xD all have to be fresh or frozen, and all I will eat cooked or raw. xD I have never really had a problem eating my veggies. Fruit is another story xD

@wish - Well, I only go if there's other things on the menu. I wish I could find mochi ice cream at the store around here. The restaurant charges way too much for a little piece. I miss being able to buy it at the store and eat it all whenever I wanted. ;_;

Sushi is a bit weird when you think about it o.o Also, I'm always really worried about flukes and parasites and things in the fish. Most of the stuff you can buy around here is cooked sushi (weirdly enough) or vegetarian.

Did you know that you can cook fish with lemon juice?

winter; lucky you. ;-; you can eat whatever veggies you want. raw foods make me sick.. so i can't eat even raw veggies. .-. what kind of fruits can't you eat? Or... is it in certain ways? ;-; dunno if i worded that right.

cookie; YES. they're sooo expensive at restaurants. like 5 bucks for 2 pieces? or something. the store here charges ~3-4 dollars for 6 pieces.

@Knitted Doll - Mochi is a glutinous rice paste/dough. It's really chewy, almost marshmallow-y. Mochi ice cream is just mochi wrapped around a bit of ice cream. The two textures together, the chew soft mochi and the cold yummy ice cream is amazing!

@wish - They're fleecing us! I know you have to make a profit, but that's highway robbery! But they're the only place I can get it T_T

It is more of a texture and taste issue for me when it comes to fruit. xD I just do not like sweet that much.
Strawberries i won't eat at all anymore. lets just say they did not agree with my the last time I ate them.
