I've been a bit meh, family problems, but at the moment I'm all right the event is distracting nicely.

I also need to pack for a camping vacation. I pack slow and need to do it ahead of time because after I am done packing, I am always forgetting something.
Luckily I finished my Pennysaver route yesterday so I am free to get things done today provided I "wake up". As for the fishies... I did my "August" water changes and now I need to start prepping automatic feeders, cleaning filters out and decide what to do with some chronically sick fish who got sick in June from a mysterious cause. I will probably do another run of small water changes the day before I leave because the fish will be due for their next water changes while I am gone. Not to mention, I like to err on the side of caution when I am leaving them alone since if they get sick while I am gone, I wouldn't be able to treat them. I always find critters difficult around vacation time because murphy's law tend to come into play and some fish is sick or some equipment has broken or something else bad happens as one is leaving. OF course being how I am....I put water changes before packing and cleaning house. I know this might seem strange to others, but others will simply not go away if the fish are sick. I got hateful responses from the betta forum because I've taken some little backpacking trips while battling the on going mystery disease with some of my fishies. |
