so bad i hope she is ok.

Vivian 08-14-2009 07:22 PM

That's not good..
Yeah, I heard of lymph nodes before, I just never really figured out what they were. But that makes sense now.

DeathKitten 08-14-2009 07:22 PM

O.o Wow... what you learn from reading random posts under your own... the_paper_crane, will she be alright? o.o'

Oleaceae 08-14-2009 07:22 PM

That's so horrible, Crane. >_<

Cancer is not cool in the least! Is eating healthy helping? I've heard little changes like eating whole grain bread instead of white can make a big difference.

DeathKitten 08-14-2009 07:24 PM

So... much... going on... So confused. X.x

Ah. o-o
Never heard of itttt.

jupiter 08-14-2009 07:25 PM

Oh no, she's great now.
In fact, I'd say that the hospital stay did wonders. She developed a new taste for shopping and fashion, and loves to dress up and wander downtown. She had some of the most strenuous procedures and chemotherapy out there, and still recovered faster and stronger than most. The only trouble she has is with her immune system, since she had to rebuild it again.

When you have chemotherapy, it obliterates all of your cells, regardless if they're bad or not. So, what you took a lifetime to build, she just has bags of "juice" to help her with every couple of months.

Vivian 08-14-2009 07:25 PM

I've never heard of it either. <___<

Nanenna 08-14-2009 07:29 PM

Heh, most people haven't and the few who have always seem to have a bad opinion. XD It's okay though, we're not all freaks like my mother. Though the more I pay attention to it the more I realize just how repressed we tend to be. I'm tired of it...

@Crane: I'm glad she's doing so well. NOt all are so lucky.

shades_of_grey 08-14-2009 07:29 PM

I'm glad to hear she's doing better Paper, that's fantastic ^_^

Isn't that close to LDS? Or am I completely off the mark?

OMG I double posted, I didn't mean to T_T

I'm glad she's okay, Crane. ^^;
My 25 year old, single mother downstairs neighbor has terminal skin cancer.
It's on the inside, so it's essentially impossible to remove.
She's on the strongest Chemo there is.
It's so sad.
They said she's got about 6 months to live.

That's kinda like my religion.
We get a lot of bad rep despite how utterly untrue it is.

nightstar 08-14-2009 07:33 PM

@paper crane its nice to know you mom is doing better.

shades_of_grey 08-14-2009 07:41 PM

*feels slightly ignored* But that's okay, I have to go to work now, bye

Nanenna 08-14-2009 07:42 PM

@Grey: Yes and no. The religion itself is nothing like LDS (I have several Mormon friends, they're nice but some of their religious beliefs scare me) but SDA, LDS, and Jehova's Witnesses are often lumped into one group of "weirdo, cult-like, are they really Christians?"

@Kisaki: Awww... you get bad rep too? If you don't mind what religion are you? Oh dear, it's not LDS is it? (Looking at what she just wrote) >.>

People make up the strannngest things. :(

jupiter 08-14-2009 07:50 PM

A totally true myth.
My goodness, religion and people have no common sense.

Nanenna 08-14-2009 07:51 PM

I had a friend in highschool who was JW. He was really cool and very nice, then one day he rang my doorbell because he was canvasing. I've hardly ever done any because no one ever forced me to like that. XD But the weirdest thing is all the things he wanted to talk about (he had to go through his spiel and I don't blame him) we already did. First he wanted to talk about "gambling is bad" and I said "We don't gamble, it's bad." Then he wanted to talk about "The true state of Hell" and I said "We already believe that" and I can't remember the third one but it was something else our religions overlapped, it was really funny. XD

nightstar 08-14-2009 07:51 PM

that sounds gross i hope no religion does that.
