Jitsumi1221 08-11-2009 04:21 PM

texas isnt that bad, at least the weather is constantly changing, we've had a lot of short storms over the last few weeks, its rather nice, makes customers leave early from the store i work at.

GrannyJ 08-11-2009 04:23 PM

We used to live in Rochester, MN.
My husband was born in Texas, so he couldn't handle the winters.

Oleaceae 08-11-2009 04:28 PM

MN is close, too.
I love our Winters.
:3

That has to be nice, Jitsumi.
Less people the better. :d

OnyxSaphire 08-11-2009 04:31 PM

I love MN too! My friend's relatives live there and we go visit them every summer.

Oleaceae 08-11-2009 04:32 PM

I've got a LOT of family there.
That and MI and Florida. :|
And then a lot in other places like Puerto Rico and Europe.

Jitsumi1221 08-11-2009 04:34 PM

Your a Wisconsinite Kisaki? Very cool. I am as well. :) I'm North of Milwaukee.

Jitsumi1221 08-11-2009 04:48 PM

cold is not my friend, i've broken too many bones that i feel like an old crone when the cold weather sets in. and then i have to lay in a bathtub full of hot water to feel any semblance of better.

whitebeast 08-11-2009 04:48 PM

Hello... Americans? ^^;;

Just a random question: Do you guys find it odd when people who haven't ever experienced snow ask what's it like and get all amazed? xD

Yeeep.
West Bend, Wisconsin (for now. I usually live in Beaver Dam, but there are some problems there that prevent me from living there). ^_^

It's not so much weird.
It's just funny.
I can't imagine life without a gazillion feet of snow.

OnyxSaphire 08-11-2009 04:51 PM

whitebeast - yes and no, I have relatives who haven't really seen snow so i've seen people first experiencing it but I've never lived where we don't have snow so it's a little odd at the same time.

Jitsumi1221 08-11-2009 04:58 PM

urgh i've never actually seen it snowing.

OnyxSaphire 08-11-2009 05:08 PM

it's beautiful during and right after when everything is white but it gets really dirty and gross fast.

I just can't imagine Christmas time without snow

Well I'm in canada but no I don't find it odd, if you'd never seen snow you'd think it was pretty darn amazing and pretty yourself. I think it's totally normal for people to act that way.

Enchanted_191 08-11-2009 05:10 PM

Wow... I've been to Beaver Dam a few times. Went with some friends and mainly ended up sitting in a bar...

OnyxSaphire 08-11-2009 05:15 PM

Sadly i must be off to eat lunch and actually start my cleaning day. Will talk to you all later!

whitebeast 08-11-2009 05:23 PM

I was just curious really.

Since I noticed most non-snowy located people seem to be somewhat fond of asking what snow is like and is autumn really grand since they don't get to experience it.

Saw my mom sleeping -it's 22 minutes past 1 am here- and remembered she'll be off to the USA at my sister's place for six months, including the 'snowy' months saying she'd like to see snow.

It made me wonder.

Anglie 08-11-2009 05:23 PM

hello
ooh I love snow, lately we haven't gotten much snow during winter

Thulhu 08-11-2009 05:26 PM

Lately here it's gotten so cold in the winter time that it's too cold to snow

Anglie 08-11-2009 05:28 PM

yeah same here, we get really cold, below freezing but no snow comes. It's really sad

meilin 08-11-2009 05:44 PM
