Aw Kat, I think you look cute. :3

Eww maggots. Need to not watch that episode. Now can we stop talking about them? D:

Insert_Witty_Username 08-15-2009 03:17 PM

@Kat: You're welcome. And I'm guessing you're right. I'd hate to be the one doing it!
@ljosberinn: What a good idea!

ljosberinn 08-15-2009 03:23 PM

I've been getting my little brother hooked on Doctor Who actually. Been showing him stuff from the first (new) season, he loves it already. We just watched the Slytheen episodes last night though, do not like them. Though Dalek made up for it by being awesome. And Simon Pegg in The Long Game. :D

Nekuyo 08-15-2009 03:26 PM

ah, a Doctor Who themed thread. How nice xD

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 03:31 PM

I wish I knew someone I could force to watch Doctor Who with me. A lot of my friends either watch it but don't really have that much interest in it or don't have any interest in at all.

Hallo Nekuyo. ^^

Nekuyo 08-15-2009 03:34 PM

lol, Nekoku. That's like someone is saying "Cat? HA!" *made me laugh*

I don't watch Dr. Who much. I like it, but it's like... I like Scrubs but don't watch it every day.

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 03:36 PM

The funny thing is, I read your username as 'Nekuko' which is wrong, then managed to spell that wrong too.
I changed it as soon as I noticed though, sorry!

One of my friends could watch Scrubs every day but I think it's one of those shows where if you did, it wouldn't be as funny any more.

Iseril 08-15-2009 03:38 PM

Wow, cool Doctor Who fans. I have been there since the sixties. A big Torchwood fan too. I will have to join after the event. Count me in.

Nekuyo 08-15-2009 03:39 PM

yeah, despite the fact it's really funny the jokes still get stale after a bit.

Connielass 08-15-2009 04:29 PM

Yeah, at this point, she... probably wouldn't even have any interest in it.
Despite her sudden love of Star Trek.

Bandwagon.... :stare:

ljosberinn 08-15-2009 08:01 PM

Hiiii new people!

Kat, I'm the same in London. If we were any closer, I would demand we watch it together! But you being up north and me in London makes it a liiiiittle difficult.

I just came back from a superhero party in the park! :D

ghostPastry 08-15-2009 08:39 PM

@ljos- Ehehewwww, the Slytheens are so grody! xD

Melancholy one 08-15-2009 09:10 PM

newbie posting for stars ^-^

ghostPastry 08-15-2009 09:23 PM

O...kay? I think it'd be better if you at least said "hi", instead of that, Melancholy.

ljosberinn 08-15-2009 09:23 PM

Melancholy, I uh.. don't think that's allowed.

Brianna, grody, what a great word! I just think they're silly really. You know, when you've reached fart jokes... e___e

hillary84 08-15-2009 09:27 PM

I've been a fan of Doctor Who since 2006.

ghostPastry 08-15-2009 09:31 PM

Cool, Hillary! ^_^

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 11:05 PM

I haven't seen the Star Trek film but the actor who plays Chekov looks like a total cutie. They should inflict things like Troi at her most annoying and Janeway at her most self righteous on them to scare the bandwagon-jumpers away. XD

nike13 08-15-2009 11:09 PM

Hooray for Whovians! I've been popping on almost every night this week and I just find this thread now?!

Well *ahem* I'll start out proper. Hello, I'm nike13 and I'm a Doctor Who addict from birth ^.^ My parents raised me in the proper Scifi fashion.

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 11:13 PM

Hallo nike.

That was good of your parents. Mine just used to watch Who on a Sunday morning because there was nothing else on. XD

nike13 08-15-2009 11:14 PM

Hi KatMagenta *waves* My parents were such nerds when they were younger so its no wonder me and my brother turned out big scifi fans. Their first date was to Star Wars A New Hope ^^;

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 11:20 PM

Aww, that's sweet. Heh, are there any other older sci-fi shows you're into?

Blakes 7 used to be on, on a Sunday, too but I never really got into it. ^^;

nike13 08-15-2009 11:23 PM

Heh actually Blake's 7 is one of them. The BBC had an audio special for the show a little while ago so I bought those CDs. Also watched Red Dwarf but I was younger so I didn't realize just how 'adult' the humor was ^^;

Just had a Babylon 5-athon not too long ago too cause I managed to buy the box sets.

KatMagenta 08-15-2009 11:36 PM

Red Dwarf is legend. My parents watched it when it was on TV the first time but my amazing friend at secondary school really got me into it. The same guy got me into anything related to Stephen Fry and Rocky Horror too. Heck, he even thought up the username 'KatMagenta'. XD

Did you watch the new Red Dwarf episodes on Dave?

nike13 08-16-2009 12:09 AM

I didn't even know they had new episodes 0_0
