It's more fun to see the surprise than to tell them exactly what they should do. More creative that way.

Watercolour have somekind of smooth texture that it makes itself very unique.
It gives me a relax feeling watchiing it...

I've never tried out acrylics, I've always thought
watercolour = low opacity in photoshop + soft edges
acrylic = hard edges
if that makes any sense ahaha...

Well acrylics don't blend well because they dry so quickly. They're solid colors as a whole.

The most popular way to use acrylics is to use masking tape.

My traditional media is a total mess.
Even the most simple pencil is all dirty by dust and pencil marks. D:
not to mention how my watercolour is... total disaster, already am thankful when the paper is not wet through.

I made the mistake of not using water colour paper once
my sketch book underneath was stained forever xD

Just get a canvas board, some masking tape, and some acrylic paint. Really easy. n__n Lotsa fun.
Just make sure the lower levels of paint are DRY before you put more paint on it.

I'd like to get a gigantic piece of white paper, attach balloons onto it, and throw darts. >>;

downside of watercolour, need to use thick paper and the mess it creates.
I hate cleaning up.
