Glitter on notebook... >> << >> Psh. I would have aced school if all my teachers did that. Though one teacher did my extra credit every time he got my name wrong?

How much would a rainbow colored eraser get me? xD

Silver Crusnik 08-15-2009 02:45 AM

HAHA!!! A Trinity Blood watcher!! Ily for that. >3

Anyway, yeah. Grave is on my list to be bought...but Howl's Moving Castle comes first, because damn Miyazaki if his movies aren't freakin' addictive!! I even want Castle in the Sky, and that one was...confusing!

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 02:49 AM

@crusnik - Indeed! I've seen the whole anime, which was awesome. I just finished/bought book 10 of the manga and I've severally behind on the novels. It's fun because I know they all end differently due to the original author's death.

Howl's is my favoooooorite. *drools* I love that movie. Miyazaki is fantastic. Laputa (Castle in the Sky in english) made sense to me but I can see how it's less easy to understand than some of his others.

@seito - Haha I know right? The rest of us were like WTF?! Oh well that makes sense. I have some teachers who confuse me with this other person who is very little like me.

Good question. xD

Seito 08-15-2009 02:51 AM

I didn't get Castle in the Sky. It made no sense to me. @[email protected]

@dusty xD haha But it was same person you got mixed up with? Mines mixed me up with a different person every class.

I hope it's alot?

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 02:52 AM

@[email protected] Maybe I am special?

Silver Crusnik 08-15-2009 02:55 AM

The anime was bawls to the manga, which is bawls to the novels, but the latter two are amazingly amazing. Still love the anime though, I have the box set. XD

Actually the reason that the anime, manga, and novels are different are because the anime mixes Reborn on the Mars and Rage Against the Moons, and the manga is more Reborn on the Mars. So the anime is really mashing a lot of stuff and screwing the timeline up, since the Rage Against the Moons stuff happens way before Reborn on the Mars.

GOD I'M BEING A WEEABOO AGAIN.

Howl makes me laugh so hard. XD I even made a cosplay of Howl on TekTek. I've never seen a man ragequit so hard about his hair. And I've never seen such a funny Christian Bale role. From Batman to CowardMan.

Seito 08-15-2009 02:55 AM

*tackles glomps dusty* yes you're very special.

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:03 AM

@crusnik - Ahh no I understand what you said. Since I haven't read all the novels (I'm going in reverse order I guess) I wasn't aware of the arcs. P: So it's good stuff to know. I tend to be a collector of information.

HE DOES! Ahahahaha he's like [email protected]#$%[email protected]#$%%[email protected]#$%@#$%^ and Sophie is just kind of like "ummm =_=;;;" <3 Oh how I love Howl. The book is equally fantastic, though fairly different. It's a Dianna Wynne Jones if you know that author. She does a lot of fantasy stories and is a relatively good writer.

@seito - YAY! 8D I'm actually doing a stick chibi for Link right now. *gasp* Feathers is actually working? God forbid.

Seito 08-15-2009 03:07 AM

The book was awesome to Howl's Moving Castle. <33

@dusty YAY! xD Dusty is working! xD

Silver Crusnik 08-15-2009 03:08 AM

YUSH. I downloaded Howl since I couldn't get it at the time, and I read it. Very different, and it ended just as annoyingly. XD

Sophie btw...was a travesty in the movie. She's like "UGH YOU IDIOT I'M GOING TO GO BE EMO IN THE RAIN." And then Markl/Michael says Howl's in trouble, so she's immediately over her emo. XD

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:15 AM

@seito - Yes it was! Did you ever read the sequel? It wasn't really about Howl and co. but they were in it. Sophie as a cat? Wut? xD The Rug seller boy was cute though.

@crusnik - Haha yeah more "classic" in the fantasy sense with going on a quest to defeat the evil witch, the prince, etc. etc. I've learned to be fine with the endings. They were not a fufilling as I would have liked, but they weren't bad.

I thought Sophie was just fine. That's not a totally baseless emotional shift in my opinion. People can be all personal emo whatever but if someone they like needs help, they can forget themselves. Sophie is a lot like that.

Seito 08-15-2009 03:18 AM

@dusty no friend said it was terrible so never picked it back up. I like the rug selling boy! xD

Yeah I'm dusty. xD *has learn to be fine with those endings*

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:20 AM

@seito - Awwww I liked it. It's really not associated with the original. Howl just makes a guest appearance. That might be annoying to people expecting it to be about Howl though? I dunno. I do, however, suggest it. Rug boy is cute. xD

Seito 08-15-2009 03:23 AM

Hmm It is Castle in the Sky right? The sequel xD Actually that's probably what would have disappointed me. *not seeing howl* Totally. I wanted to kidnap him.

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:25 AM

I believe it's Castle in the Air, but close enough. xD Haha yeah I'll admit I was sad it didn't have Howl in it for more than a few minutes. As a separate story though, it's fun.

Ooo maybe I'll pick it up then. xD

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:35 AM

It's up to you. :3 It's middle-eastern themed complete with djinn.

Seito 08-15-2009 03:37 AM

OOo I've never read a story like that.*puts it back on the To Read list*

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:37 AM

It's not super authentic or anything, more that whimsical idealized sort of rug-sellers in bazaars and magic lamps kind of stuff. I hope you like it. xD

Dingle Hopper 08-15-2009 03:39 AM

*peeks in* Did someone say Howl's Moving Castle?

Seito 08-15-2009 03:40 AM

@dusty xD as soon as the library stops fighting over it, I'll tell what you think xD

rampartte 08-15-2009 03:46 AM

*pokes her mule back out* I don't know where I am apparently! O___O

Anyway, since I noticed someone somewhere mention the sequel to Howl's Moving Castle, the book, not the movie, it's called House of Many Ways.

Kidalanna 08-15-2009 03:46 AM

'Ello, Kidalanna decided to drop in, since all the other threads she's in are reaally slow. Looks like an interesting way to earn points, but seeing as I'm so slow, I doubt I can accomplish it.
Anywho, how is everyone doing? :3

rampartte 08-15-2009 03:50 AM

'allo Kida! I'm fine tonight, a little dizzy from being in too many places at once too. XD

Elegant Feather Duster 08-15-2009 03:53 AM

@rampartte - Insofar as I know It's called Castle in the Air. But I think there may be multiple books in that series, so we could both be correct.

In any case, welcome and nice to meet you. :]

@kidalanna - Hiya! Thanks for dropping by. :3 I'm sure you'll be fine. I've had people claim they won't get points and get quite a few before.

@seito - *laughs* Sounds good to me.
