Velvet Goldmine
 

I can't be the only one on here who likes this movie.

Anyway, for those who haven't seen the film, I won't spoil it for you, but I'll give you the basics:

The movie is about a journalist named Arthur who is trying to learn about a singer named Brian Slade who disappeared some years ago. He wants to learn what exactly happened to him. So he goes around, talking to Brian's ex-manager and even his ex-wife, Mandy, and learns a lot of stuff. The whole movie, essentially, is a flashback into the days of Brian Slade, superstar. Also present is another musician, the energetic Curt Wild, who eventually works with Brian.

It's a great film, in my opinion, certainly my favorite.

So, my question is, has anyone else seen it? Did you like it or not? Favorite characters? Least favorite characters? Favorite songs? This movie is chock full of songs, ones that are fantastic, I think.

Plus, it's pretty. :3

I liked it too, had a great soundtrack, but I'm a sucker for 1973 british glam rock (it's my secret shame, lol...just kidding). So see Oscar, you're not the only one ;)

Oh, good. I'm glad. I'm a sucker for glam too. I think this movie got me into it. It's kind of my shame too. Ssshhh. >.>
