yes, I beleive that there is someone out there for everyone even if they don't realize it. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic sometimes but....Its a nice thought anyways!!

i'm glad I'm too old for the drama of dating, Those can be some ruff years, especially if you choose badly, my best friend always told me i had louse taste in boyfriends, and i did. I am divorced now for many years but my ex and I are still good friends, we hang out together, movies and dinner, and he helps me out around my house, he is a good guy, we just couldn't get along while married, If we had stayed married we would have celebrated 26 years together.

My mom once corrected me and said, "Ali, you're not a hopeless romantic, you're a hopeful romantic." I really liked that, it stuck with me! ^^ Just never give up hope! <3 I found my current boyfriend when I was really sad and I thought I'd give up on guys all together because of previous relationships.. and then poof! There he was, I tried so hard not to fall in love with him but I am glad I did. ^^ @dream: Wow, that is great! That's amazing you are still friends! Hello everybody. I'm back again.
I'm sorry I left, but I went to take a shower. Now I feel nice and cool. I also believe that there is somebody for everybody. However, people many times fail to understand that relationships must be worked on. There is no such thing as "happily ever after", unless you have a very good working relationship with give and take on both sides. I don't know if you remember a movie years ago called "Love Story". There is a line from that movie which I think is the most stupidly insane thing I have ever heard. "Love means never having to say you're sorry." In my experience that is so very untrue. It should say: "Love means always being willing to say you're sorry". |
That's a really good quote Granny! Yours, not the movie one. I totally agree that people are sometimes throwing away their perfect match becuase they think love should be easy. Me, I'm just waiting until I know that I have something real.

Relationships take a lot of work and commitment.. love isn't something you're just handed, it'a pursuit, you have to put effort and show the person you're willing to compromise because you love them so much. @June: Aw, congratulations! ^-^ I can't wait til the day I can say that. |

Ugh, let's not discuss partners right now. I just got a tongue lashing because APPARENTLY forgetting to tell an ex boyfriend that was kind enough to drive your mom to the hospital when no one else could do it and then forgetting to phone him when I didn't have time to phone ANYONE ELSE is a big no no. So now I'm crazy and dysfunctional. I have way to many boyfriends that I want to punch in the balls.
