Sorry if it made you sad... But as a professional artist, critics are a necessary evil. I never get enough good critics so it really helps me out to become a better artist. You should look forward to them, not fear them.... it's kinda like a plate of food... some are yummy, some food on there you may not like, but you don't have to eat any of it.... just take a look and pick the ones you like.

Personality: He is very reclusive due to being the symbol of darkness and he isn't used to being around people bacause of that fact. However, he would die to protect the forest that protected him.

Background: Born on the night of a lunar eclipse, he is seen as the epitome of darkness to the natives. His family lived on the outskirts of the village, so spent most of his time in the forest. One day he stumbled onto a cave and while exploring it he found a small basilisk and was quickly surprised when the glance of the serpent didn't kill him. He and the basilisk stared at eachother until the mother returned and he realized that he could understand them. He spent the night there due to a heavy rainstorm, but returned home the next morning to explain things to his parents. A few years later Kaiser's parents decided to move on, but he didn't want to leave his familiar and moved in with the basilisks. A short while later the mother basilisk decided to conduct an ancient ritual that would turn him into a basilisk but he retained his human form and shortly afterward began to learn how to control his basilisk side.

Powers: darkness manipulation (he can control any form of darkness around him), and control over his death glare (he can choose whether or not to kill someone with a glance)

Honestly, the last thing we need is for this to affect the rp. That is exactly why I wanted you two to take this to private messages in the first place. Personal problems should stay just that, personal. I really am terribly sorry you both are not on good terms right now, but I don't see why we can't be mature and separate this from the game. It has absolutely nothing to do with Genesis, aside from the fact that it was brought up in this thread.

It isn't my authority to demand this, obviously, but as a suggestion, if there is anything further to be said on the matter, take it to private messages. Really now. This snipping back and forth is doing nobody any good and it has absolutely no relevance to the game. It's a personal problem that should be dealt with accordingly. @Keirys: Yeah, it took me forever to find the pic. What do you think about the death glare idea?

It falls perfectly in line with his basilisk side, as they are fabled to have a petrifying gaze, which in most cases cause instant death. His ability to control this must have taken him quite some time to perfect.

The character sounds awesome Damien.. But I've always personally found Death moves a sensitive ability to touch on. Especially one where death can be done at a glance. Realistically speaking if your character could dot hat to anyone they pleased (and choose to do so themselves) they could look at any character and kill them instantly. The bugger of it is you'll always need to be asking consent to use it on some-one or other, or pre-arrange it (this always works out nicely because you can do it 'unexpectedly' to shock everyone else xD gives the RP that extra kick). Though you probably already realize this and im just pointing out the blatantly obvious.

Other than thaaaat... Though it really wasn't a problem in the first place <.<.. Me and my paranoid self must sit down and have a chat sometimes.. Ahem!" Other than that, the character is awesome, and I agree with Kierys, dark hair and bright eyes are a winning solution for the Smexy Awards.

I was thinking of it being more of his human side trying to gain acceptance from the natives, sort of like Beast? I can't think of the right comparsion, but once he finds that someone cares about him he can start to release his tough guy/angsty attitude. If that makes any sense.....

I was also thinking that in the begining he won't have perfect control over his 'glare', so he'll just walk with his eyes closed...or something.

@Damien: You've established that he has a 'brother'; his control would be better, right? Maybe he's blindfolded when he's not practicing, and he helps take care of him? Or he could be more like Garret in Quest for Camelot?

I'm going to be away for a week or so; I might have internet access during this time, but it'll be patchy at best :3 So while I'm away, Owain will be doing his scientist-y thing, waking up the others, etc. off stage, depending on what's going on ^^ If he's wanted for anything (like analysis or something, I don't know >___>), I give general permission to play him, but I'd rather you used one of his underlings.

@damien_leonheart I see a few promlems with your character I'm afraid. One, the culture of te natives is as such that they would never abandon a child, even if if were the harbinger of death. But your mother can actually have been a snake or her son coul dhave been your Companion item so she was liek a second mother to you. On another note the natives would NEVER destroy a forest. because so many bits of the forest are tied to living natives and millions would die if they did.

So see what you can do to fix the profile and I'll re review it.

@Kierys I woul dlove to have a second ni command to help out when I'm not around and if you'd like to take that possition, I'd love it.
