Adrian chuckled as he nipped lightly at her skin between kisses, "Are ye tellin' me tha's no' th' truth, love? Tha's a mighty blow t' me ego, ye know; realizin' it wasn' me good looks 'n' me charm tha' kept ye 'round 'n' got ye t' accept me proposal. Tell me, love, wha' is the reason fer marryin' me?" Adrian teased between kisses, a smile playing upon his lips.

"Because you didn't kick me out into the street even when your family wished you would." Lucina admitted softly with a blush. "But mostly because that Irish accent is something I'd like to hear everyday." She added as her toes curled from his kisses.

Adrian chuckled as he left a trail of kisses from her neck to her lips. Smiling against her lips, Adrian murmured softly between kisses, "Lu, love, me mum didn't wish t' throw ye out o' th' house, tha' was jus' Lori," he added with a wink. "As fer me accent, I think I can oblige ye 'n' tha' wish," he added with another wink and kiss.

"Still." Lucina said as she pulled Adrian closer to her. "I'm glad that you didn't let Lori affect your decision to keep me here. Especially when I was so horrible to you." She said, shaking her head in shame.

Caressing her cheek and leaning back so that he could look her in the eyes, Adrian smiled his dashing and warm smile as he spoke, "Lu, Lori could never make me change me mind abou' ye, ever. Lori's a wee girl who doesn' like 'er only brother dividin' 'is attention between 'er 'n' another woman. She's been used t' 'avin' all me attention, ye see. She'll get o'er it in time, when she sees I intend on marryin' ye as long as ye'll 'ave me," Adrian added with a long, tender kiss upon her lips.

"Let's hope so." Lucina said softly between kisses before losing herself in his kisses, her arms wrapping around his neck to press herself against him.

Adrian smiled as he eagerly returned her kisses, one hand pressing against the small of her back, the other tangled gently in her long, blonde tresses. "I promise," he murmured gently against her lips between kisses, "Lori'll come around. We'll tell she 'n' mum o' our 'appy news when they return t'night if ye like."

"Let's not talk about Lori." Lucina suggested playfuly as she shifted onto Adrian's lap to deepen their kisses. "I love you." Lucina whispered softly between kisses as her fingers ran along the length of Adrian's jaw.

"I love you too, Lucina, so very very much" Adrian murmured against her lips with a warm smile as he pulled her closer and eagerly returned her kisses; his kisses growing in tenderness and more passionate as the time wore on, his love for her showing through in each kiss.

Lucina leaned Adrian back into the grass as she returned his kisses for what seemed like hours. Finally, Lucina rested her cheek against Adrian's chest, listening to his heartbeat, as she wrapped her arms around him. "I love you." She smiled through swollen lips as she snuggled closer to his side.

Linking their fingers together upon his abdomen, Adrian's other hand tenderly ran through her hair as he smiled and placed a tender kiss upon her head, "I love ye too, Lu, ferever." Smiling, Adrian couldn't have been more at peace - between having the woman he loved in his arms and the beautiful scene before them as the sun set over the river, the colors dancing across the ripples of the clear liquid as well as their skin, this moment couldn't have been more perfect even if he wanted it to be.

Lucina shivered lightly as the sun finished setting and the cold night air took over. "I love you Adrian but you're horrible for keeping me warm." Lucina laughed softly as she curled closer to him, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

Adrian smiled as he tenderly began rubbing her arms and back with his hands and placed a tender kiss upon her forehead, "I'm sorry, love. I ferget yer no' used t' our weather yet. Although...."
Grinning, Adrian laid Lucina upon her back and hovered over her. Placing a tender kiss upon her lips, Adrian teased and left kisses across her jaw and down her neck, "It does give me an excuse t' bring tha' pretty lit'le blush t' yer cheeks, love, fer tha'll surely warm ye up; unless ye object?" |
Lucina felt the warmth spread to her cheeks as a silly grin spread across her lips. "Now why would I object?" He asked with a laugh as she tangled a hand in Adrian's hair and leaned into his kisses.

Chuckling, Adrian laid on his side beside Lucina as he teased, "I don' know, love, but I figured I'd best be safe 'n' ask. But since ye 'ave no objections," he added with a wink before resuming their kisses.

Lucina had to force away the silly grin from her lips as she wrapped one of her legs around Adrian's and pulled him closer to you. "I love you." She murmured softly between kisses, one hand tangled in his hair as the other pressed against his back.

"I love you too," Adrian said with a warm smile between kisse. "Are ye gettin' any warmer, love?" Adrian teased as his kisses trailed across her jaw and down her neck, lingering at the base.

"Much better." Lucina grinned despite the shiver that ran down her back. Lucina arched her neck towards Adrian's lips as she tangled her hand in his hair, pulling him closer to her.

Adrian chuckled as he felt her shiver, yet continued to kiss her as he whispered between kisses, "Are ye sure love? We can always return 'n' sit by th' fire if ye like," Adrian suggested, not wanting her to catch a chill on account of them being out there in the cool night air.

Lucina pouted as she realized that Lori and Shinorah would most likely be home. "I'm sure your sister wouldn't like to see us like this. Especially in your house." She sighed, cursing herself for bringing up Lori again.

"Mm, tha's true. But she'll have t' g et used t' it, righ'? As long as yer still willin' t' be me wife. D' ye honestly think I'm not goin' t' kiss ye whenever Lori's around?" Adrian asked as he leaned back and tenderly caressed her cheek with his fingertips, "Lu, I love ye. I'm not ashamed o' tha', nor will I see ye in secret on account o' me sister."

Lucina smiled warmly as she leaned into Adrian's palm. "I know." She said softly though it wasn't Adrian's behavior that she was worried about. "I think we should head back, love. Its getting colder." She laughed as she shifted to prop herself on her elbows, giving Adrian a gentle kiss.

Giving Lucina one last long, tender, deep kiss, Adrian smiled, "O' course, love." Standing, Adrian gently pulled Lucina up with him and wrapped his arm around her, rubbing her arms gently to try and warm her as he led her back up the path. "So, love, when d' ye want t' announce our engagement?" Adrian asked with a tender smile as he placed a kiss upon her temple.

Lucina felt a small flood of panic flood through her. She'd had a long day already with Kaylynn's interruption and the last thing she wanted was another dramatic arguement with Lori. "Tomorrow." She suggested as she leaned into Adrian. "I don't want to deal with Lori until tomorrow." She explained as she wrapped her arms around Adrian's waist and rested her head on his shoulder.

Adrian sighed as he held her closer, "Lu.. Ye do realize she'll be worse when she finds tha' ring upon yer finger 'n' we don' mention anythin'.. Ye sure ye want t' risk it? It won' be so bad, Lu.. I'll be there with ye, I promise. Besides, we a' least got t' tell mum; she'll wonder where th' ring went," he added with a chuckle.
