He nods a bit, walking with her, holding the boy close to his body as he went.
"That's why they sent me. He needs somebody strong enough to easily overpower him in order for him to come to his senses and think about what he's doing. Otherwise he'll just try to overpower whoever he comes against."

"exactly" she smiled truly unaware of how powerful drake truly was, of course selene knew her son was strong but hadnt the slightest inclination of how strong though, she tilted her head looking down at the ground then looking up at the sky, she avoided any eye contact with him unable to truly face the situation just yet.

-As they walked through the woods, the sky above began to turn colors, the sun working its way over some distant horizon.-
"We're almost there" he said looking back at her, holding the boy in his arms still. "When we get there, we'll need to wake him."

Selene nodded though while they walked she paid no attention to him, she was focused on the sky which bled with colours of red, pink, purple and orange, only if she could have stopped to paint such a wonderous sight, but, her son was far more important then preserving a scene.

"when you wake him i dont think i should be near" she sounded oddly concerned "he may not listen to you if i'm near"

-he nods a little- Right. We'll have you wait on the far side of the site. I'll talk with him, and eventually you will have to come out, but I will make it very clear for him, right from the start, that he is unable to do anything without my consent, even if he thinks he's powerful enough to deny it.

Selene again nodded in response to drake's statement "alright" she attempted to smile but it turned into something more painful, she looked as though she stepped on the thorn, she wasnt sure of how to react considering her son hated her, she hired a stranger to train him and now she was oddly attracted to him. She shook such thoughts of romance and focused on the problem at hand.

-stepping out into a clearing, it was obvious the man had been here a little while. There were two tents set up, along the far side of the clearing against some trees. To their right was a fire, small, though still hot. Behind the fire was a cliff, overlooking the valley below, and the sun setting in the distance. To their left, a hot spring, some form of magic making the water glow a deep, beautiful blue,much like his eyes, and to top it all off, a waterfall filling the spring.- Here we are.

her eyes widened taking in the scenery, her jaw dropped and suddenly even she felt unworthy, usually the women of her kingdom were the ones to create something this strikingly beautiful, never had a male impressed her in such ways "wow" she whispered

Calanon's eyes slowly opened, though prematurely he saw his mother and instantly struggled against Drake's arms which bound him "let go!" he growled reaching for his sword which was gone.

-He shook his head, looking to the woman. He spoke, but no words came out audibly, untill finally, they arrived in her ears only.
"Get in a tent, and tie it behind you." -the words came. they had been carried on the wind, so the boy would not hear. He then turned with him and walked toward the water, keeping a firm grip on him.- "Relax, you're seeing things. There's nobody here but us."

"you liar" he growled struggling against Drake's grip "let go of me! do you even know who i am?" he was a brat, but, that was no one's fault, this was of course his way of dealing with Nadir's sudden death.

Selene nodded, she quickly ran to a tent, tieing the flap behind her, when she did she sat down on the cot which was dresssed with a pillow and quilt

-he nodded- I know fully well who you are. And I'm not lieing. Have a look for yourself! -as he speaks, he turns his body, still holding the boy firmly,showing him that he will not take orders from him- See? nobody here.

Calanon was not happy, he was able to raise his elbow to Drake's ribs ramming it into them "let go!" he growled, the boy was fistey "you told her to leave! i know you did! you had to i know she was here"

-he shakes his head a little, taking the boy's arm again, holding him there, and speaking very calmly to him.-
I havn't spoken to anybody. You just need to relax so I can talk to you and explain what's going on, or you're going to have a very long night. I am your new master, and you are my apprentice. I'm here to train you how to control your magic, and use it wisely. It can be easy, or hard, and how much you fight with me will determine that.

Calanon heard his words, though he refused to accept them he calmed dow struggling to pull his arm free, he tilted his head tot he side attempting to look up at the sky he sighed again "fine" his jaw tensed

He walked over toward the water and put the boy down, onto his butt, and sat next to him, looking at the blue, enchanted water. He swirled his finger in the air a bit, creating a small water-spout in the spring, the tornado-like form dissipating when he stopped.
"Tell me about yourself, and I'll return the favor."

"why?" he asked, though, when he thought about it he nodded "My name is Calanon and i'm kind of a forest not long from here, though, my mother doesnt think of me as that. She killed my father-- i'm nine" he blinked "i'm an elementalist and i dont like you right now" he laughed at his own honesty, he was never able to say something like this before, not without getting punished. He was always taught to be nice.

Chuckles a little with the boy. "Well hopefully that will change when you learn a bit more about me. My name is Drake Valdor, I'm from the kingdom of Dracizia, many many weeks away from here." -he spoke with sincerity, knowing the boy would pick up on lies, and not desiring to tell them anyway.- "I'm the master of Elements in that kingdom, and am tasked with training its children to survive on their own... and now, I have been tasked with ensuring your survival, by training you in the elemental arts." -he looked at the boy- "It should be a sign to you that the elves trusted me enough to leave with you."

"they just wanted to get rid of me and you know it" he sighed rolling his eyes, he wasnt happy, wouldnt be happy, not just yet "i did kill their best guards you know" he chuckled with a sort of gratification

"how old are you?" he doubted drake's words and that was made obvious with his question.

I'm twenty two." -he said bluntly, looking at him.- "My age is of no concern, it's my abilities you need to worry about."
-He stretched out, looking at the boy.- "And I did hear about you killing the guards...awful thing that is." -he said.- "Hopefully we'll get you to think a bit more kindly towards life on this little voyage of ours."

"why?" he grimaced "it's not like they deserved to live, they were useless to me" he was horrified even at his own words, Calanon was never this vicious, he needed help and knew it.

-he shakes his head softly- This is why you need me...life can't just be taken for no reason, and I think in your heart, you know that.
-he looks at the water, then to the boy, closing his eyes a moment and letting out a sigh.- "I can feel that you do have goodness in you... you're just refusing to let it out.

calanon's head dipped while he listened to what drake had to say, he nodded appologizing for taking the souls of innocent men, he knew what he did was wrong but why take the time to show it? it was easier to just close himself off from the world

You're not lost, Calanon. I know you're not. But you have to let me help you if we're going to get that little boy back out, and your life back on track. If we don't, it will mean the end of you, long before it needs to be. Let me help you. -extending his hand to the boy.- I will take good care of you, and use my power to help you.

calanon hesitantly slipped his small hand into drake's he wasnt looking at him, he couldnt, if did he felt as thoguh he would cry, seeing the promise drake held. He treated his own mother horribly, treated her like a prisoner, like someone not worthy for air "thank you" he whispered in an almost incoherent voice

He nods softly, looking at him, holding his hand where it was. "It's okay to cry...to be mad..." He says carefully, quietly. "it's okay to be mad at yourself for everything...I'm here to help you through your emotions too... Nobody deserves to go through what you went through, but nobody deserves to go through what you're mother is going through either...the guards..." He sighed, looking at him. "Both of my parents were killed when I was a child, you know."
