"Ah yes, of course." Kim's laughter came out nervously this time. He had quickly diverted his gaze to the bandage and grabbed it. His chest needed to be clean before he wrapped it around but there was no harm in already preparing the bandage.
The emerland-eyed tried dearly not to notice the blush on Jean's cheeks but it was so hard. He had wanted to know why the other was blushing but quickly dismissed it. Instead he placed his hands on the floor by his side so that Jean had the best availability to his chest. To dab some parts Kim wouldn't have been able to do otherwsie. It was about then he finally looked at the clock and registered that it was around nine in the evening. How time flies when you are enjoying yourself. "Jean..." He whispered, damning himself again for saying that name lovingly again. He needed to be more careful about what and how he said things. "...are you hungry? There isn't much food in the house but we can have a take away if you want?" |
Cael baked a cake and ate it all by himself. He sighed in happiness and liced icing from his lips.
|
Jean worked methodically and carefully as he finished cleaning the wounds. Kim was handsome and his body was . . . Jean had to stop thinking like this. Focus on cleaning, yes that was the thing to do. Once he finished cleaning the wounds he got the disinfectant.
As he began dabbing on the disinfectant he answered, "It's okay Kim. I'm not really hungry. My stomach feels a little funny right now so I don't really want to eat. If you're hungry though you should eat." Jean started to think about things and realized they really had not thought much of this through. He wanted to take a bath but he didn't have any clothes but what he was wearing. Where would he sleep? He knew how kind Kim was and felt that he would more than likely offer to let Jean sleep on his bed. He let out a small sigh knowing as well that he would probably ending up borrowing his clothes as well. He paused for a moment as said softly, "I'm sorry I am going to be such a bother Kim." |
Kim eyed the other for a while. Either Jean wasn't really hungry or was being to polite. The brunette decided on the latter and carefully pulled out his mobile phone and dialled the number to a chinese take away. He ordered about two day's worth of meal in case Jean didn't like some of Kim's favourites. "Don't worry, it's all for me. Alright then, bye bye." He added as an obvious fib and snapped the phone shut.
It was right about then Jean started apologise that Kim shook his head frantically. "No, don't say that Jean..." He gently reached over and placed Jean's hat on his own head, to cheer the boy up a little. "...you will not be a bother. I think of you as a brother almost." He winced at those words. A brother? That wasn't the right word. "Just think of me as your new flat mate who talks in his sleep, maybe a bit older but also a good friend who will be there for you no matter. That way, we will both know where we stand." Kim said that, in a way as to not confuse the already puzzled boy. He so wanted to be more than a good friend to Jean, but at this moment that wasn't feasible. It suddenly dawned on Kim that he needed to prepare a bed, clothes, although they would all be baggy on Jean. And there were other facilities they needed to buy. "What are you doing tomorrow?" He suddenly asked, as if it was a really casual morning. "Do you mind going shopping? And my collegue invited me to the fair downtown to celebrate his promotion and engagement. I would love it if you came..." Why was he so nervous? This wasn't a date, was it? Kim didn't quite know what it was hence he hadn't dated for what seemed like centuries now. |
Jean only half listened as Kim ordered food just grateful the man decided to eat even though Jean wasn't hungry. Once he was off the phone Jean smiled a little when he put Jean's hat on his head. He couldn't help but give a giggle as the hat was too small and didn't go with Kim at all. " I think I need to make you your own hat." At the mention of it Jean all ready began to get ideas.
When the hat was placed back on Jean's head and Kim said he was like a brother it made Jean happy. Kim thought of him like family. Just as those words had warmed him the next sentence seemed to steal some of that warmth. Jean though tried to stay positive though and kept listening to him. He could not help but ask, being a bit curious, "You really talk in your sleep? What kind of stuff do you say?" Just as he asked those questions another older question popped back up. He looked at Kim and asked, "How old are you Kim? O- oh wait that's rude. I-I'm sorry." Jean frowned a little that he hadn't thought before speaking. When he asked about the next day Jean thought for a moment and said, "I - I don't really know. I wish I could get some stuff from my place but I don't think that's the best thing to do." He had all his sewing supplies there and mementos from his mother too. Some time in the future he would have to go back. He had made a promise to Kim though so wasn't sure what they would do. He brightned a bit when Kim mentioned shopping since that was something he loved to do and didn't get to do very often, "I would love to!" Then he remembered he didn't have any money and said, "I don't have any money but it will be fun to go with you Kim." His eyes lit up when Kim mentioned the fair. "A fair, like a real fair? Will it have rides and animals and everything?" Jean could not keep the excitement from his face. He had never been to one but they had always sounded like so much fun. ((sorry that took so long, just couldn't get it to sound right. If it doesn't make sense let me know. *squeals* Sooo jealous of your background >.< Bad Kuma!)) |
{{ Sokay <3 What do you mean my background? }}
Kim let out a soft and for once a carefree chuckle. Jean sure asked a lot of funny questions, not that Kim minded. It made Jean all the more interesting to him, cheered him up and instantly made him forget about his pains or that equally malicious Kent akin to his own father. "Yes. I am not sure the type of things I say but once my friend told me it was things like how I was running into a wall constantly and swearing too." Kim smiled with the next question. "Hey, I am not THAT old that you have to be shy to ask." He chuckled, gently reaching for Jean's cheeks to try and rid of his frown. "I am twenty five now. It was my birthday a week ago." He paused. "How old are you? Sixteen? Fifteen right?" Kim smiled, completely unaware of the boy's actual age. "Hmm...we will see. I would like to buy you basic things if you could allow it..." Kim suggested and let out a small chuckle when another question was followed. He patted the boy's nose gently and nodded. "Yes, a fair...you don't mind, do you?" |
Jean let out a small laugh at the things Kim talked about in his sleep. It was funny to him and he wanted to find out if Kim really did say stuff while he was sleeping. He decided he would try and stay awake to find out. He tucked away his little plan and focused on Kim again.
It seemed that whenever Kim touched Jean it made him fluttery inside. The carcass felt nice and this time Jean did not berate himself for enjoying the simple touch. His eyes went wide though and he said pitifully, "I missed you birthday! Can I make you a late birthday present? Please." Jean giggled and said,"That's what everyone thinks. It's because I'm so small but I'm really nineteen." He let out another giggle saying, "I even fooled you." He liked that he had sort of pulled a trick on Kim. People were always surprised not only at his age but that he didn't get mad about it. For Jean though it was sort of like a big joke he got to pull on everyone. He stopped his light laughter and replied to Kim's request seriously, "Well I guess it's okay since I'll need those things anyway. I want to be able to pay you back and with money." He made sure to add that last part knowing Kim would say something to the affect of 'As long as you make me smile we're even.' Jean got a big smile and said eagerly, "I don't mind at all. I'm really excited that I get to go. Thank you Kim, for everything." ((the sky and castle on your avy)) |
"No no. You don't have to give me a present." Kim shook his head. Maybe he should have kept the birthday part a secret. Besides, it was a week ago. It already seemed ancient. And being twenty five, he didn't want to be reminded of it.
"Ninteen!?!" Kim's eyes opened in a profound shock. Surely, ninteen was...but the boy looked..."Tell me you are joking for I think you don't look a day over sixteen." Kim studied the boy a little while longer. This changed a lot of things. For once, Jean can live with Kim without a parent's consent. Secondly, they can have a mutual friendship without worries or barriers involved. "Well, I don't want you to pay me. As long as you cook for me that'd be more than enough. I am a terrible cook when it comes to westernised food." He added to the penultimate suggestion, which was unlike what Jean had thought. Ding. Dong. Went the front bell a few minutes later, obviously the food had arrived. Kim signalled for the other to remain and got up with only a little struggle and accepted and paid for the food. Only to lock the door again. "Yum!" Kim returned with a huge smile, carrying two large bags into the room. The smell itself was quite appetizing on its own. He sat back down next to Jean and started taking out every food and quickly eyed Jean each time to see which interested him, of course Kim named and explained each one in case Jean had allergies. |
Jean didn't press the matter with the present but figured once he had his sewing things back he could make Kim something. This way it would definitely be a surprise. Maybe he could make the hat he had thought about earlier.
He couldn't help but let out a laugh at Kim's reaction. He shook his head and said, "Yup I'm nineteen. I can even show you my ID if you don't believe me. I only look so young because I'm so short and small." Jean let out a little sigh when Kim mentioned the form of payment. He was pretty certain that his friend would not let him pay even if he did have money. He decided to go along with it and maybe do some chores so that way he was actually doing something useful in return. "Okay I'm a pretty good cook since I always did the cooking for us. Would you let me help around the house too since I'll be staying here awhile?" When the door bell rang Jean froze inside and out. Kim waved for him to stay put and he did. had Kent found them so soon. He was terrified. What should he do? Maybe he could call the cops but he didn't know where the phone was. He looked around frantically till Kim walked back in with the food. Jean calmed down realizing that Kim had called for food earlier on. Jean tried giving a smile to cover up how scared he had been. He half listened while Kim described the food. Once Kim finished Jean said, "Oh um that second one sounded good." He didn't remember what it was called or what was in it but food might take his mind of his fear. |
Green eyes took in the window of the bakery shop, he practically drooled over the cakes in the window. "Oh they look tasty..." He looked past the cakes, and saw the glass counter with the sweets in it and gave a soft groan. "mmmm....of everything looks so good." He said and dug through his pocket, seeing if he had any cash on him. He'd never been on this street, but the shop looked really yummy. He pushed his blond hair behind his ears as pulled out some bills from his pocket and counted them carefully. He looked a little raggedy in his tattered sneakers, and clothes that were a few sizes to big, it was hard to find clothes that fit his tiny stature. "Lets see...I paid the rent, I barely managed to pay the phone bill...but I did just get paid..." He was talking to himself, thinking of his bills he had to pay, or had paid, and smiled, he'd be able to get something sweet.

{{ Hey, new comer. Welcome. I like your character with his musical background and what not. :) }}
Kim was about to dismiss and trust the fact that the boy was nineteen but when the boy had suggested the ID Kim nodded. "Oh yes please. It's not that I don't trust you but...just to make sure." Just to make sure this wasn't Jean's little teasing. Oh boy did it change everything now that he found out the boy was nineteen. "You can help around the house, only if you want. And if you can. B-but I must tell you, I don't like it when its too neat...it reminds me of--" Kim cut sort. His father? The neat freak. The murdered who cleaned up after everything he had done. Maybe Kim just needed someone to remind him of how neat was good and how his mother used to advise him to be one. "The second one it is..." The brunette opened the little cardboard box and pulled out a chopstick, which he broke into two. He hoped the boy could use a chopstick or else he'd have fun teaching him how to. It was about then that a question slammed to his lips that he found himself jut blurting out without any consideration. And afterwards he looked rather guilty. The boy would tell him in time. "What about you? What are your parents like?" |
"I don't mind at all Kim," he said grateful to be thinking of other things. Jean had his wallet with him, not that it was helpful considering how there was nothing in it but his ID and some change. He got his wallet out then pulled the ID loose handing it to Kim. He didn't mind showing him since most people wanted to see. He even had people who would not believe him after seeing the ID which did bug him.
Jean gave a little smile glad he would be able to help and said, "Don't worry Kim. Kent always complained about how I didn't clean up things well enough so I don't think that will be a problem." Jean had not noticed till right then but he had been avoiding Kent's name since he got here. It just didn't seem right saying his name in Kim's place. Kim's house felt safe and warm and he felt he was dirtying it by saying Kent's name. He pushed the thought away though as he looked at his food. When Kim handed him the chopsticks Jean just sort of gave him a poor puppy dog look. "Um I'm sorry Kim but I don't know how to use these," he said sheepishly. He had never figured out how so many people could eat their food with two sticks. It felt like a physical blow when Kim asked about his family. He didn't really wish to talk about it but Kim had been willing to tell his story so he felt it only right to tell his. Averting his gaze to the food and not at Kim he began quietly saying, "Well I guess we were a pretty normal family and stuff. When I was twelve my Mum died in a car accident. After that Dad. . .dad. . took care of me. It was just him and me till I met Kent." Jean knew that really wasn't the whole thing but he didn't want Kim to think badly of his father. Jean's dad was a good man he was just confused and upset about mum dying. |
Kim registered the date on Jean's birthday and guilt played across his face. Of course, he should really have taken the boy's word for it. "I believe you..." He had whispered shyly and listened to the boy. Somewhat watching his lips and eyes all the way through. It was odd how strangely aware he was of certain details he wouldn't have noticed otherwise. And how aware he was of the boy's closeness and the proximity of their arms and legs.
After the boy had explained about his parents, Kim felt a wave of another guilt. He didn't like the way Jean had reacted, somewhat troubled. He thought about it for a while before he disturbed the silence. "Basically what you have to do is hold one chopstick between your middle finger and your thumb like so..." Kim demonstrated and taking Jean's delicate hands he placed it where it should be easier. He placed the chopstick around the base of Jean's cute thumb where he himself wore a smile at how small they were. Nineteen eh? Then he placed the other chopstick between the sapphire-haired's thump and index finger so that both chopsticks were parallel. "What you want to do now is to..." His voice seemed to trail of as their bodies seemed to brush. He was inevitably aware of Jean and he couldn't help but be aquainted with this knowledge. Then he parted his lips as if to say something but fell dead silent. He wanted to rein in his own body reaction first before he could even speak: his pulse had started to flutter dramatically and hoped Jean would not see how confused this made him feel. He took a sharp intake of breath as his own smile started to fade and his gaze locked with those wondering golden eyes. And everything, every rule he had made not to cross the line was thrown out the door and into a land far far away. Instead, he had found himself leaning forward, closer to the boy, finally listening to both his mind and his heart. Although it did't really come in that order. Oh shit, he just knew this was going to be a big mistake. Why was it that he utterly lost his control when they were in utter proximity. "Jean..." He had whispered the boy's name in one of his caring ways. A care that was hidden for far too long that it wanted to ooze out. And at that moment, his heart was doing a thousand flips in a second and his stomach flittering. Although his nerves didn't quite agree with him out of the obvious prediction of the out come, which was being pushed aside or slapped, Kim sealed their lips anyway. Being as unpredicted and as shocking as it would be to the boy as it was to him. The kiss to Kim felt like as if it was truly meant to be, written in stone, sprayed in the stars, premonitory... And in that moment he did know and he would promise that he would utterly love and care for the boy far more than anyone could. |
Once Kim had finished looking at his ID he tucked it back away. He was glad that Kim believed him. Another whelm of gratitude came when he did not ask more questions about his family. Jean did not wish to lie but he did not want to talk about his father either. It seemed Kim just had a way of knowing when and when not to keep going.
When Kim began teaching him how to use chopsticks Jean tried to pay close attention in hopes of impressing his friend. It was hard to do though when Kim kept touching him. His hands were larger than Jeans and firm. He realized he was staring at them taking in details and not paying attention to the chopsticks. He tried to listen once again till he noticed Kim didn't finish his last sentance. Looking up into Kim's green eyes and him so close made Jean get all fluttery. Kim leaned into him which made Jean want to drown in his warmth and scent. Every time Kim got close it got harder to think. Jean's heart began to race when Kim spoke just his name. His name spoken like that had carried with it affection and caring he had not felt before. He seemed trapped in Kim's eyes unable to move or speak when he felt Kim's lips gently press against his own. Lost in everything that was Kim, Jean softly kissed him back as if it were the most natural thing in the world. |
Cael leaned back on his stool, with a large slide of chocolate infront of him. He took a large bite, lite his lips and suckling on the end of the fork. "Oh, I love you Mr. Cake." He licked the fork, looking slightly provactive and took anothe bite. He closed his eyes in bliss and sighed happily.
|
Kim's brows furrowed slightly when for the briefest of moment the boy seemed to be frozen. Just when he had thought that he'd be earning a slap and it was better to know than forever not, Jean seemed to be kissing back too. Finally sharing the love Kim was more than willing to offer.
It was right about then his conscience returned from that far away land and made him snap his eyes and into reality in one blow. By which time Kim had also quickly pulled back. What in the world was he possibly thinking? Jean had...a boyfriend. And Kim was doing everything he had promised himself not to do: cross the line, confuse the boy and worse confuse their friendship. "I-I am so sorry! I...didn't think..." Kim quickly stood up but fell back down with a thud and a groan. He rapidly reached for his chest then, feeling something cracking open. Damnation! Wrong moment. How was he able to possibly explain what he felt for the boy, for two weeks straight and especially when they were close? This really was rather too fast with Kent being the catalyst of it all. Kim didn't want it to be like that. He wanted it to be rather slow. He wanted Jean to really know him for what he was. A celebrity to be. And he didn't want Jean in such a place when all he is trying was to keep away from it all, especially Kent. And Kim wouldn't have it that each time they'd leave the house they'd be surrounded by the press. "Jean I...didn't mean to...to do that." Well, his entire being wanted to. "I was so close...I was touching you and then..." Well Jean knew how it went if not maybe all the emotions behind it. Ah, he knew he blew it. Kim slumped his head a little. "I just...like you." He finally admitted and looked up. "But it won't change anything between us. I promise. As long as you stay here or with someone else who won't ever harm you..." |
The kiss was amazing simply because he could feel the emotion behind it. He felt like he could stay in the protective aura forever when too quickly it was taken away. For a moment Jean sat their blinking wondering what had happened.
Kim was stuttering out an apology and hurting his injuries. Jean panicked a little and said quickly, "No it's . . it's not your fault Kim. Please sit still I don't want you to hurt yourself." However, now Kim was saying he hadn't meant to do it which bought Jean to complete attention. Didn't mean it? Was he saying he had just gone with the moment and didn't really care about him. That fear was taken away though when he said that he did in fact like Jean. Jean was torn by is last word. He was glad they were still friend but part of him didn't like that idea wanting Kim to be more to him. He wanted Kim to be special. Jean then felt horror remember Kent. He had a boyfriend and here he was proving true what Kent had said earlier. He said quietly, still confused about many things. "It isn't your fault Kim. I-I I kissed you back. Maybe Kent was right about me. I'm just really confused and I think I need time to think about all of this. I'm not positive what my feelings are and the thing with Kent and being here happened so fast. I-I'm sorry Kim." He hung his head wondering if he had let Kim down. He already knew he had let Kent down and realized a beating was probably something he deserved right now. |
Kim heard the boy out just as he did to the brunette. Ah, he could already feel the confusion. He felt indeed like an interloper who had jus jumped into someone's relationship without any of their consent. And for that entirey too did he feel utterly guilty.
"It is not your fault." Kim carefully kneeled and reached for the other's face, stroking it lovingly and gently running his fingers through that fine hair. "The last thing I want you thinking is that this is your fault. Alright?" He whispered, pulling back a little when that need to kiss and heal the boy had started to return. Gosh, what an effect Jean had on him! "Now...let's just try and forget anything happened. Last thing we know, we were trying to eat food, alright?" Of course, how could he ever forget the warmth and plushness of those lips. The need to hold those velvety cheeks and draw the boy in until their body fitted perfectly and Kim was able to memorize the feel and scent of the younger lad until...until he would never have to forget. "Hey why don't we watch something?" He suggested, attentively reaching for the remote and immediately pressing the first button at hand. The film was an old film, somewhat romantic but all the more humorous. "Here drink this..." Kim offered somewhat midway in the film, offering a cup of milk on his way from the kitchen. Somewhere around the middle, they had sat on the couch, cosy and comfortable. He'd gotten the bed for Jean done, his bed, so that he knew Jean would sleep in peace. And he had gotten his favourite book out for Jean to read, in case like himself the sapphire-haired couldn't sleep without reading something. And a phone also, in case he had ay relatives to call and inform where he was. "I prepared your bed. Let me know when you want to sleep..." He added, settling back down next to Jean and briefly glancing at the clock. Somewhere around midnight. |
Jean closed his eyes soaking in Kim's pleasing touch. He opened them to answer him saying softly, "Alright." He was brought out of the daze when Kim said to forget what happened. Those words hurt more than Jean wanted to admit. So he just answered stupidly saying, "Yeah food."
Jean sat there trying to get his feeling in order. At the suggestion of a movie Jean was more than willing. "Yes that sounds nice," he said hoping it would distract from all his emotions. The millk though Jean set on the side table leaving it untouched. It was pleasant though watching the film. He had, at some point, snuggled against Kim instead of just hugging himself like he normally would have. Kim had perfect timing for just as Jean gave a yawn and his eye grew droopy the offer for sleep came. He looked at him sleepy eyed and said, "I'm kind of tired. Is it okay if I go to bed now?" He remembered he was still in his clothes and asked,"Is it okay if I borrow a shirt or something? I don't have anything to sleep in." |
Kim swallowed, and swallowed pretty hard, whenever Jean came up to him and cuddled into him. It made it pretty hard to rein in any probably unwanted feeling. But he had liked it so he just sat there silently staring at the television. He didn't even pay attention to anything but each movement Jean made, careful but cute.
"Oh..." Jean mouthed and accidentally looked into those eyes again, except this time rather tired and vunerable. Oh he just wanted to snuggle the boy up close and sing him a lullaby. Well, Jean didn't like hs voice but he could play him something to help him sleep on the piano. "Yeah sure. I have s-several shirts." Doh. "And if you want to shower...I will show you how to use the shower head." Kim slowly held his hand out. "Come along now. I don't trust you can fully walk. I have kept you up too long." He smiled, trying to mentally rummage through his wardrobe trying to think of the most suitable and comfrtable shirt. Perhaps the white and silk one? He didn't want anything irritating that soft skin and the wounds on them. |
Jean took hold of his hand feeling very tired. He let go of his worries and let Kim help him walk. He was so emotionally and physically drained. So much had happened today and Jean had not had the time to process it all. At the moment he was in a nice lull of sorts. He didn't have the energy to think on every little thing.
"I know I'm probably gross but I don't think I could stay awake long enough to shower," he said in a sleepy voice. He gave another small yawn and rubbed his eyes with his free hand. Being so drained he absently followed Kim willing to let the man take care of him. At the mention of clothes he gave a little, "thank you." |
Tana looked at the door and squealed at the open sign. Opening the door he smiled at the tinkling bell and he dashed over to the glass case with all the sweets in it. Standing at four feet eleven inches he looked like a small child. Many people assumed he was a midget when they learned how tall he was. He hadn't even noticed anyone else in the shop, he was trying not to drool over the sweets in the display counter. "Oh....everything looks so good." he said and looked over the sweets.
|
Cael glanced down at the small child before him, and he swallowed the piece of cake in his mouth. He wiped his mouth with a napkin and said "Yes, there is tons of stuff. What will you like?" He looked around the shop and noticed besides him, the cake, and the child, they were the only ones besides Penny.
|
"Um....I dunno....everything looks so good..." He went quiet for a moment and tried to decide, then he caught sight of the apple pie and pointed to it, "I'd like some apple pie please." He smiled up at the man, a light blush on his cheeks. Tall people...'He probaly thinks I'm some little kid...damn , but I really hate being so short sometimes.'
|
Cael nodded and said "Good choice." He put the cake plate down on the counter next to him, pushed it back so the child couldn't touch it. He leaned down to grab the pie, and sliced it with a silver shining pie slicer. He placed it on a plate, with a fork and a napkin saying "That will be three dollars."
