Those all sound like great plans. I'll be having Thanksgiving lunch/dinner with the in-laws and then dinner with my Mom and sister. And then I'll dum around my Mom's house until midnight when I'll walk over to my friends apartment (they live in the same complex) for black Friday shopping.

Luna Riven 11-25-2009 03:21 AM

Good luck with the Black Friday shopping. I'm not that brave, haha. I'll be staying off the roads as much as possible that day. Those Black Friday drivers can be scary.

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:23 AM

I almost got water on my sketchbook I was gonna cry :shock:

JellybeanInc 11-25-2009 03:25 AM

@Luna: My friend wants to go, I myself would be happy to just sit around and not do anything on Friday. We did it 2 years ago and it was hilarious; ended up taking a long nap in her car in the middle of the mall parking lot

@Yami: Oh that wouldn't have been good!

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:26 AM

I've never been shopping on black friday, maybe next year I'll save some money for it and get something I want but atm I need/want nothing that'll be sold here and I'm saving for the con in april, cons are my black friday

A five hour drive home for dinner and weekend of doing final projects and graduate applications before driving back to school.

: P

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:28 AM

that sucks myth-chan, if I wanted to go home it'd be a 16 hour drive XD

Mythos 11-25-2009 03:30 AM

Ouch! 5 hours is bearable... But in 16 hours you can fly across the Atlantic. O_o;;

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:31 AM

haha yea that's true, but flying is faster then driving XD

JellybeanInc 11-25-2009 03:31 AM

@Yami: I never have any money for it, I just go for the sake of going. The last time Katie and I walked through a store, taking "hot items" off shelves and putting them in other random places.

@Myth: That sounds thrilling. xD At least you'll be at home though.

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:32 AM

Hello!

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:32 AM

hi Cast-chan *glomp*

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:33 AM

O_O *ish glomped* How are you doing? Making plans for Thanksgiving? :D

Mythos 11-25-2009 03:33 AM

True. I miss my Mom- she's freaking awesome. D:

Hey Castella!

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:33 AM

just talkin about em XD I'll be spending mine with complete strangers, you?

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:34 AM

@Yamiko: I'll be going home tomorrow...I'm lucky and don't live too far away from my family. I'll have to deal with the Thanksgiving traffic, but it'll at least be semi-bearable.

@Mythos: Hello! How are you?

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:35 AM

XD if was gonna go home for it I'd have left either yesterday or this morning and then slept through tomorrow so I'd be awake for dinner

JellybeanInc 11-25-2009 03:38 AM

@Castella: Hi there!
And on the bright side you'll get the smoother end of the holiday traffic. Imagine what it will be like for the poor people that are leaving late on Wednesday.

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:39 AM

@Yamiko: I'll have a couple of days to sleep in once I get home. Unfortunately, I don't have the option of leaving early. I teach a couple of classes tomorrow, and so I have to wait until my work is over. So...less sleep now, more sleep later.

@Jelly: It's true....I won't have to deal with the worst of the traffic. Though I hear that the police are going nuts with all of the traffic...my mom and aunt were talking about people being pulled over left and right. They're taking advantage of all the people who are in a rush to get home, I guess. ^_^;

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:40 AM

=/ that sucks

JellybeanInc 11-25-2009 03:42 AM

@Castella: Oh that sucks.
But it's good about the police. I can't believe how stupid and reckless some people get when they are in a hurry.

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:45 AM

Yeah, it does. But I told my students I'm not taking attendance....so I'm hoping none of them will show up. I'm not allowed to cancel classes unless I'm sick (since I'm still in training), but there are loopholes...I can make it so I don't have to work so hard. :D

And yes, Jelly, I agree...I don't like the idea of so many police being out, but I'm definitely glad to hear they're doing their job. I don't want to have to deal with all of the crazies when I'm just trying to get home safe and sound. People are crazy enough without it being the holiday rush. o_o

Yamiko 11-25-2009 03:45 AM

>.> I'm the opposite, the less of a hurry I'm in the worse of a driver I get....

JellybeanInc 11-25-2009 03:46 AM

So we should never be in a car or near your car, right Yami? =3

CastellaStar 11-25-2009 03:47 AM

@Yamiko: Hmm....well, actually, that kind of makes sense. Without the adrenaline rush of being in a hurry, it's easier to drift off into lala land while you're driving. So I can see how people would become worse drivers when they're not rushing... >_>;

@Jelly: Hahaha, yeah...we'll have to watch ourselves when we're driving...make sure we don't get run off the road. :D
