And all I remember back then was some sort of optional subscription to this weird Neopets portal thingy... I don't even remember what the perks were to that subscription, but it was only $5/mo., so I subscribed. xP

@Kitten - Yeah, it was really rather stupid to sell clothes for pets and they couldn't wear them. But now that you can buy clothes for pets that they can wear, I really don't care for the whole process. I mean, dress up is for Avatar sites right? But dressing up on a pet site? Blah. Whatever. I don't play there anymore. All my pets are dying >_>

@WiFi - Agreed. Though I stopped long before the money thing.

@Kitten and Facade - They have "Neocash" now and you use it to buy clothes to put on the pets. It's the only way to clothe a pet.

Yeah, mine are dying too. I actually started neopets cause of the games. XD

I miss the oldschoolness of it. Too bad everything's so generic now.

I always remember buying clothes from the clothes shop on Neopets and being like, "One day, my Neopet will be able to actually WEAR this Eyrie Sweater!" etc., etc. ... Kinda odd how they implemented it, but I always knew it'd be possible, eventually. P:

I miss the old-schoolness of it too, though. I started roleplaying on Neopets. I started socializing with people on the Intarwebz on Neopets. A good portion of who I am today came from that site. I wouldn't say a lot of me, but a decent portion. xP

Actually I had a billion accounts on Neopets but since I haven't been there in ages, all but professormorrigan were deactivated by the time I came back. : ( ALL MAH LOVELY NEOPETS!!!

I met some interesting people that I used to RP with over there too. Actually that's probably how I started RPing anyway. It was fun!

I know that sites have to evolve and grow, but sometimes they just grow for the worse. *sighs* I really didn't socialize much on Neopets, just fiddled around between classes. XD I had like three other accounts, but I haven't bothered to try to get back into them lately. There was some indie-ish movie made of Oscar Wilde that I saw, but I can't completely remember the title... I want to say it was simply called Wilde?

I did a school report on Oscar Wilde a few years ago. P: It was mostly about his sexual escapades and the like. xP Very fun project~ I read The Importance of Being Earnest for it... Although I "allegedly" read Portrait of Dorian Grey the summer before, for the summer reading required of me for the class.

Of course, I didn't read it. .-. Although I heard it was an amazing book~
