@ Casi: I agree. Those stupid evolving items are always soo tempting. But overpriced...Gaia is getting over priced in general. Too bad I'm still addicted. ^^;

Amen Casi. I was also kinda ticked at the event. Donating our items for the items? why do I have to give up my stuff. And then if I want it all I have to sit there forever giving it away, there is no mass give. I'm well aware its not a matter of money, I can get 250 2 gold items for a mere 500 gold. Its the time consumption. Their events are so time consuming for a pathetic holiday themed item. It ticks me off.

I bought a Wii when I got here :D

I did play a few video games but I liked to be outside more, I did like super mario world for the SNES though :D

Actually I like the event. "Hey, remember when we gave you the option to trash your shitty items, but not all of the items are trashable? Guess what, just donate it and you can be rid of it forever! 8D"

Plus it's a gold sink for those who don't have trashy items but have lots of gold.

It is sad that the un-rich Gaians don't have the option, though.

What I'm upset about is the fact that they can't update the pre-paid for Evolution Items but have plenty of time, DURING AN EVENT WEEK, to come out with a brand new RIG.

Seriously? I ain't paying for that crap until you finish the items I HAVE paid for!

The sad thing about Gaia is that now they HAVE to come out with mostly cash shop items, because they NEED ALL THE MONEY THEY CAN GET, because they screwed themselves!

You know what I realized? If we were allowed to sell our Gaia accounts on Ebay, I could probably make a good 1k at least.

Agreed. Gaia doesn't seem to care about the player much anymore. It's about them thinking of themselves. They don't even seem to use logic anymore.

A good example, they tried to get rid of cigarettes to seem healthier. If they really wanted to improve the site they would target an actual problem. And, people got all pissy so they immediately added the cigarettes back.


I wonder how much my gaia account would be worth. It really isn't anything special, except I apparently have one really valuable item. I bought it 2 or so years ago cause it looked cool and now its worth 800k.

Gaia needs to back up. They need to cut out a lot of their smaller things, like Cinemas, Rally, things like that. They need to take a break from the Cash Shop and go back to just Monthly Collectibles for about three months. They need to fire a good chunk of their employees and just recollect from their losses. Then they can slowly rebuild themselves.

They're way too concerned about making themselves look good. Artists don't make a site run, Gaia! You need smarts, not just pretties. You need a community, not a collection of worshipping, cash-handling gold-hoarders.

It's sad that Gaia's gone this way. I don't see themselves making it another year at this rate.

@ Yami: me too =( I even had a thread that was trying to get their attention about that, asking for updates on jigsaw, and not just sponsor ones, and it was going strong for a while but still nothign =(
@ chibi: I don't think pixel cigs is something they should be concerned with, what with promoting poor people skills, greed, pole dancing, etc. edit: what item is that?
@ nao: I know, and I think, how hard would it be to do that everymonth with the new mc art that they already make?

@aneru. That's what I was saying. The cigarettes were such a minor deal and they just seemed to arbirtarily try to remove them one day. They did not consider what people felt. They just decided it would be better.

@Nao. Yea the collectables are nice, but in order to have the whole set don't you have to buy each one again? I know the old ones you did but I haven't bothered to get a new one. I like how Mene has it where you only need to have the item once and you can use it as many times as you like.
