@ Fuyumi: I tried to Crochet but I failed miserably. For some reason I don't get any tension in my yarn because I have nothing to prop my left hand fingers again (I'm a continental knitter). I need to learn how too though for the scarf I'm making a friend of mine.

You haven't?! It's the most awesomeist show ever. Its where everyone in the world black out, and then wakes up and a lot of them see a vision of the future. That they call a flash forward. Then there's like all these characters...My favorites Demitri cause I love his name and he's cute. I think a lot of people with that name are cute..anyway enough rambling. It's a very suspenseful show. You can watch it on hulu ^^

@Fuyumi - I prefer Flash Forward as a live action show. I'd be afraid they'd ruin it with stereotypical anime over the topness.

@Sir Spoon - It's a new show. It just premiered a few weeks ago so there's maybe four episodes now? I don't remember.

@Sir Spoon - I think it's worth checking out. But then I like the whole post apocalyptic action mystery angle of it.

I keep hearing about Glee and everyone's like "Watch it!" And I'm like "Nuuuuuu." It's funny, I love making recommendations, but I don't actually take them. I don't watch even a quarter of the things friends recommend to me.

@Sir Spoon - I've also heard people complaining about the stereotypes. Which, they were obviously going for stereotypes, but it's just off. But having not watched it, I dunno.

@Fuyumi - They're Japan, they would. I watched a minute of Hetalia and turned it off and try to forget it exists. I dunno, I just have this knee jerk dislike of it. The fact that other fangirls pee themselves with joy over it makes me all "Um...ok."

Anyway, another reason I like Flash Forward just as it is and not an anime is because dammit! Sometimes I just want things based in the US (or other Western nation) with all the locations and cultural references that I don't have to research. I love anime and all, but it's refreshing watching a Western show every now and then.

@Fuyumi - I like fangirls. I like fangirling with friends. I like like fanatical fangirls who are crazy and insane and make people hate things and themselves O_O

I'm not getting worked up, I'm just saying. Sometimes I get Japan burnout. And it doesn't help that anime's depiction of women usually pisses me off.

I did not know that there was a CSI comic book o.o I know they have Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic books and Anita Blake comic books, but not that. Did you know there's Marvel manga? Manga Wolverine XD

@Sir Spoon - Stereotypes can be ok if you actually play on them, but you have to do it properly. It's not easy to play off that and I guess that show's not doing it well. I also saw a fandom secret today about how terrible the lip syncing was on the show XD

Yeah I hate Japan's dipiction of women too. it's so old fashioned. I think I am very blessed to be born in America because I am a woman. I think oftentimes people take America for granted. We should though. Women are treated very poorly in a lot of countries *sadness* That's why I'm going to adopt and donate when I have a job ^^
