@Fuyumi: Yes, it is fun. And it doesn't take long either. The best part though, is picking out the fabric. ^^

@BBchan: Yeah, I'm not too good at making things either, but fleece blankets are an easy no-sew project.

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:06 PM

Lol, good point. I should try that.... *goes off to look up blanket patterns and fleece patterns*

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:08 PM

@BBChan
hey, no problem. *blinks* wow, I've never heard of that site before, I'll check it out. It sounds really cool ^^ so what sorta stuff does the site sell?

@Risika
It really is the funnest part..and when it's done of course. My friend got an animal print thing on one side, then on the other side she had lime green on hers. It was pretty cool ^^

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:11 PM

Heifer International is basically a charity organization. You 'buy' like, a chicken, or a goat, and with your money they send that animal to a needy family somewhere else in the world. It's really neat. The best part is that each family gets not only the animal, but the training to go along with it, and when their animal has offspring, they're required to pass on the gift by giving at least one of their new animals to another needy family in their community. ^_^ It makes me happy.

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:12 PM

oh wow, that's really cool. I really wanna check out this site now^^

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:15 PM

Yeah, I love Heifer. My favorite part is reading all the stories they have about families who have benefited from people's gifts. They had interviews with some of the people and pictures and even maps of where 'Heifer Communities' are all over the world. Last time I was there, I spent three hours just looking around. xD

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:17 PM

Oh that's cool.*looks at it* I think I found the right place. *nods* it looks pretty neat. I am sure it is a good program. I like used to volunteer at a food distribution thing. It was fun.

JellybeanInc 10-24-2009 09:19 PM

Wow, that is a lot of posting in the few minutes that I was gone. xD

@Fuyumi: It's a red devil, thus the blue would clash.
She wasn't going to dress as anything, then she only wanted purple/balck tights and a purple/black shirt, and now she wants to be a Dead Maid.

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:21 PM

Hm. Is it just me, or does this thread seem to have regressed to just the two of us again for the moment? ^_^ It's interesting how it kind of goes up and down.

xD Nevermind, Jelly has returned!! I just needed to refresh my page. Oops.

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:22 PM

@Fuyumi: Oooh, nifty. I myself try to pick matching fabrics. I have some red and green fleece somewhere that I never got around to using... I was thinking of sewing on black buttons to make a watermelon blanket. xD

@BB: You don't actually need a pattern for the type of blanket I usually make. ^^

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:23 PM

@Jelly
Yeah it might, but you can claim to be an american devil(if you're white that is) People might not get it though.

oh, will she have her costume done in time? O_O"" sounds cool though.

@BBChan
well it has slowed down a little but I'm sure it'll pick up again soon ^^

@Risika
lol, that would be pretty cool. I would love to see pictures when you're done

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:24 PM

@Risika: xDD A watermelon blanket would be awesome!! That would be so much fun! I'd totally bring that to college with me and show it off all over the place.... xD

I must say, all this talking about making crafty things is making wanna run off and be creative. xD

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:29 PM

@Fuyumi: Sure! Whenever I get around to it, haha... I suspect the fabric's hiding in my closet, which is currently inaccessible. >.> But yes, I will upload pics when I'm done. ^^

@BB: I know, it's a silly idea, but that's what makes it cool.

Haha, I know the feeling. It's kind of like how talking about food makes people hungry. O.o I'll probably go hunting for that fabric tonight.

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:31 PM

My mom will be heading up to Walmart tonight to pick up some things.... I think I'll be going with her with my wealth of twenty-three dollars. xD Craft section, here I come!!!

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:33 PM

@BB: You go girl! ^^ I'm not sure what Walmart has for selection as far as crafts go, but good luck and happy hunting!

JellybeanInc 10-24-2009 09:33 PM

@BB: I always forget to refresh my page too. xD

@Fuyumi: That would be great, but I don't think a lot of people would get it either. And I'm sure she'll get it done in time. She was going to buy the french maid kit from Walmart and then just put fake spiderwebs on the feather duster, wear dead makeup, and dirty up the little hat thing. I hope it looks a great as it sounds. I told her she can be my Dead maid. xD

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:34 PM

@Risika
awesome ^^..yeah I have a ton of fabric in the basement here myself XD so I don't even know where exactly it is.

@BBChan
lol, that's cool. What sorta things do you want to make?

@Jelly
lol, that's cool. I love all the creative things people come up with around holloween. Which is next week, omg! XD

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:35 PM

@Fuyumi: O.O You should go find it, and we can start a craft club. ^^
Well, somebody's excited about Halloween. xD

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:36 PM

@Fuyumi: Actually, I don't know for sure. I have lots of ideas right now, and I'm having trouble deciding which to start on first. I think the blankets sound neat, though, not to mention easy to do. I'll probably start with that.

JellybeanInc 10-24-2009 09:41 PM

@BB: I love the craft section in any store. I could live inside Michael's if they would let me.

Jelly gets to carve pumpkins tonight with the boys! I'm actually kinda excited for that.

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:44 PM

@Jelly: Silly, but that does sound fun. Although I don't think any Michael's has fabric, do they?

Oooh, pumpkins? That's always fun.

BBchan 10-24-2009 09:48 PM

Michaels is amazing, one of my favorite stores, although I never have enough money to GET anything when I go there.... But it's fun to browse, anyway. I wanna carve a pumpkin too! T.T I haven't had a pumpkin in FOUR YEARS.... It's very depressing. But I have a car, a license, and a job this year, so I'm getting one no matter what!! >;D

fuyumi_saito 10-24-2009 09:51 PM

@Risika
I really am XD

lol, yes that would be cool if we could start a craft club. but Idk. My camera needs more batteries *pokes it* On the bright side though I'm going shopping next week so I can get some batteries while I'm at it so we can start this thing. lol.

Well I mostly make clothes with my fabric ^^

@BBChan
I'm sure it'll look great. Whenever I go to the walmart craft section I look at the kinds of beads they have. They don't have as large of a section as hobby lobby, or any other craft store, but normally they have some cute stuff

JellybeanInc 10-24-2009 09:51 PM

@BB: I haven't carved one in a while either. I think I'm just going to let the boys take out the innards and then I'll do the carving. They'll have fun squishing their fingers around in the goop.

@Risika: They only have little Fat Quarter Squares, at least the one near my house does.

Flaming Pink Flamingo 10-24-2009 09:53 PM

@Fuyumi: Wait, you make clothes? You're awesome! I would love to, I even have some fabric, but' I'm scared to try. I think I'll break the sewing machine if I so much as look at it the wrong way. xD
