I know. I don't think I've ever actually participated in any thread during any Gaia event. It's just so easy to click a button and leave. I would post agreements or "encouragements" but that was about it. It's rather sad actually. What's your Gaia user name? I'll follow you if you'd like.

@Jellybean - It's the same. I'm with BOO though. Maybe if I finish, I'll put my mule on SIN. I've run threads during Gaia events, but they were mostly bump threads, or picture post threads. There was very little actual talking going on.

I had a mule in ever camp for the summer event, but it was sooooooo freaking redundant. I didn't finish the event on any account. I just gave up. I had more fun for the Mene event.

We're not sure when Mene's Halloween event starts. They wanted to keep it a mystery this year, so we're all in suspense! D:

@Tegan - I spend way more time on Mene than I do on Gaia. The event for them is ok, but it is repetetive and annoying as their events tend to be. Plus, they've found a way to turn it into a recruiting and money grub fest.

@Jellybean - I didn't even buy them afterwards. Didn't care. I've slowly come to grips witht he fact that where I once would have been able to buy anything I wanted there, now I won't be able to afford most of them. -_-

@Cookie: I still like Gaia but after being on Mene for longer I've realized how horrible the site has gotten. It used to be all about the user; not so much anymore.

@Jellybean - I still like Gaia sometimes, when they're not pulling sneaky shit and pissing me off. But the longer I spend on Mene, the more I prefer it here. I love the quick reply. I love the new live thingy. I love that people actually have conversations around here and there's no bumping and trolling. I love the multi-equip items where you can have every pose from one item! There's a lot to like here.

I like pretty much everything you just mentioned. I still stick with Gaia because there is 3 years of work and talking and items and money on that account and I'm not going to just leave that. And my sister wasn't too hip on Mene, where there are "so many rules I don't understand, and the gold earning is stupid" and where she would have to actually talk with strangers. So I stick around because she wants me too. xD
One thing I don't like about Mene is that you can't see the changes you'll be making to your Avi before you hit the Save button. But I'll get used to it.

I don't flat out leave Gaia cause I was pretty much there from the beginning. 03, so that's 6 years! D: And I did occasionally donate money to them, so there's some real money tied up there. But if they keep going how they're going, I might just stop going there. Which is a shame.

They might be working on the avi change thing. I don't know. There always seems to be changes in the works. Then they just pop up and surprise us with them.

I met too many really nice people on Gaia that I would hate to leave, especially since they didn't make the switch over to Mene like most of my other friends do. Wow, 6 years is a long time.
I noticed that they've changed a lot of things in the year that I didn't bother to check back. I like that though. And the fact that the Mods, Admins, and NPC's actually interact with players still surprises me. I'm not used to that.

Yeah, it's crazy when I think about it. 6 years on Gaia. Of course, I wasn't active during all of them. I've had my lulls in activity. But you know what? My post count on Menewsha is higher than my post count on Gaia! And worse yet, I know a lot of my Gaia post count is event bumping.

It's good to see the mods posting and active here.

Most of my Gaia posts are from guilds...At least I think they count those? If nor then it's all from event bumping and recently from posting on random threads in the Forums that I really like.

By the way, are you going to take a stab at Risika's Cupcake competition?

I looked at it. I couldn't figure out if she wanted real cupcakes or cupcake drawings or what....and I was too lazy to ask >_>

My guild is pretty much dead...again, and the other one I'm too lazy to post on. xD
When I told her that baking cupcakes would be dangerous for me and those within a 10ft radius of me she said they only had to be cupcakes...not baked ones. I guess you could make one out of paper if you wanted...or styrofoam...or a pumpkin?

My guild is alive, but not as busy as it could be. It's because we're picky about our members. It's like Mene, we don't want idiots, so it's not as busy as Gaia. XD

Well, I would, but actually, I can't use our camera. The only computer in the house that had a card reader on it is down, so we can't get the pictures off because my mom stupidly lost the transfer cable. Didn't know she had one actually. She's just....herself.

I'm picky with members too. It used to be a Charity but one too many idiots turned me into a bit of a grouch about giving out anything to members and it made me leave the site all together for like 6 months.

Oh, that sucks. Well maybe with the next competition that she has. =]
