It was so good, I almost thought it wasn't pixel art when I was scrolling down. XD

It's shaded really well, but I feel as if the leaves are too symmetrical, and there is a gap between them that appears unnatural.

yes, the leaves are my weakness afterall...I wanted to make a dish as the background but I was lacking palettes and time...

It can do without a plate, which is fine.

To play with the symmetrical bit, you could make it similar to a banner, with pixelated images at the side or something. Of course, it is fine as it is too.

In terms of cute, it is. But it doesn't look like an orange, really. More like an orange colored orb. There's no texture to it, and it's too shiny. (I have an orange tree in my back yard. They dun glitter like the morning sun!)

The leaves are reeeally bright. Try making them dark and lush. Orange tree leaves aren't shiny shimmery either. The dark shaded color is closer to the leaf's true color than the bright green you use as a tint.

Too symmetrical. You don't have to have the same amount of leaves of both sides. Try mixing them up a bit and throwing a few off to the side.

If you same to study how to color oranges, a good way to do so is to color and draw over an existing picture of an orange to understand how it's shaded and such.
