Ivan wrapped a arm around her and nodded, "yes, I think your right and we will have ot stay alert from now on." he whispered to her and kissed her cheek. "now just relax, I am goin going to protect you." he whispered and was on high alert now.

Ebony nodded knowing she should but she couldn't. "We have.... Have to... Tell the others...." she managaed and layed her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily. She shouldve been able to fight him off... But she had been so surprised when he caught her attacks that he had gained the upper hand... She silently vowed to never let that happen again.

Ivan nodded and gently picked her up and headed back towards camp. He didn't bother to get his armor since he knew that they possibly got them. "dont worry, I will tell them. YOu just need to get some sleep." he whispered to her and continued to walk. He kept her close to him to make sure that no one got to her.

As they entered camp Thomas ran up. Seeing his mom in his dad's arms he paled seeing the blood staining her bandages and his hands. He yelled for help seeing her and Havious galloped up to them. "What in the name of mother nature happened?!" he asked shocked. Ebony looked up and smiled bravely. "Dont worry I'm fine." she said softly.

Ivan walked twoards there tent and looked at Havious, "we where attacked when he where training. He got her caught off guard and used a gold dagger on her. But she will be fine, I made sure of that." he said as he walked into there tent and layed her down. He sat down next to her and you could tell he wasn't going to be going anywhere.

Thomas followed and took Ebony's hand. "Want me to get you some food mom?" he offered and she smiled. "Sure honey." she said softly knowing he wanted to help. He nodded and ran out of the tent to go get them food. "Apollo's been watching Thomas all day and Tricky has been keeping the twins occupied." Havious said smiling. "Good. Have the wizards arrived?" she asked and he nodded. "Minutes before you did." he reported. "Good. Just call it a day sense we'll need our troops good and rested for tommorrow'a march. I want to be moving by sunrise." she said and he bowed at the waist and left. She then let the pain wash over her face and sucked in a breath as she layed down.

Ivan stayed besides her and stroked her cheek. "do you want me to give you anything for the pain or to put you to sleep?" he asked as he looked at her worryed. He wasn't going to leave her side till she was better and he knew that wouldn't be till morning.

"Not until Thomas comes back... He'll be hurt if I don't eat something... He always is trying to take care of me... It makes me feel like the child!" she said and shook her head. "I don't want him to grow up so fast... He's five and he acts like he's fifteen!" she said not wishing for anyone to loose their childhood like she had. "And the twins! They're two and now more then most twenty year olds!" she said fretting. She wanted them to enjoy being young and small.

Ivan gently stroked her head, "stop worrying, they are still kids and they just grew up fast because of everything that has happend. ONce this is over we can go and settle down and be a real family." he whispered to her softly. He wondered if it was his fault for not being here for them when they needed him. But now he was and hopefully they could settle down and be a real family soon.

Seeing the look on Ivan's face she sat up despite the pain and cupped his face with both hands. "Dont think that... It wasn't your fault at all... If anything you pulled this little family together." she whispered and kissed him softly. Thomas walked in and set a tray on the bed. "I got your favorite salad..." he said softly and rubbed his boot in the ground. Ebony smiled and scooped him up in her arms and began kissing and tickling him all over. He giggled and flailed happily. Ebony laughed and smiled. She tossed him in the air causing him to laugh louder and she caught him. Finally once he calmed down she kissed his forehead. "Thank you sweet heart." she said softly and he blushed. "no problem mommy." he said softly barrying his head into her shirt. She smiled down at him and stroked his head softly. It was times like these she wished she could just freeze time and say that was my son... And he had a childhood... And he was a good kid... A really good kid...

Ivan smiled at his wife and son, it was like the perfect moment. He gently ruffled Thomas's hair and smiled at him lovingly. HIs son was great even though he acted a little old for his age. But he had to of grown up to take care of Selene when he was gone. But now that he was back he was going to show Thomas how to have fun, how to enjoy his time being a kid after this was all over. He would take his family somewhere where they could be happy and no one to bug them.

Ebony smiled and kissed Ivan quickly. She then grabbed her salad bowle with one band and tried to eat it but it didn't exactly work. "Could you?" she asked handing him the fork. Thomas sighed and cuddled closer. "Hes asleep..." she whispered and smiled.

Ivan smiled and took the fork happly, he knew that she was still weak and needed some help. He stabbed some salad and held it out for her to eat and smiled at Thomas, "he must of had a long day, he deserves to sleep." he said as he looked at ebony and smiled.

Ebony smiled and ate the salad off the fork. She smiled and nodded. "Yes... Our little warrior probily wore himself out..." she whispered and stroked Thomas's hair lovingly. "What do you think? The twins are tiring Tricky or he's tiring them?" she asked smiling at the thought.

Ivan smiled and got another fork full of salad for her. "I would have to say both since the twins are still little and also because they can tire just about anyone out." he said and could only imagin what was going on between the twins and tricky right now.

Ebony nodded agreeing and took another bite. "Wow... You have to try that... It's really crisp... Like it was just picked and put in the bowle." she said smiling. She swallowed and smiled.

Ivan smiled and took a bite of the salad. "your right, it is really good." he said then stabed another fork of salad for her. "so how are you feeling now?" he asked as he looked at her.

"Better." she said and took a bite. After she swallowed she added,"Im going to be perfectly fine by tommarrow... Thank the gods that the vampire scientist thought of everything when he created me..." she whispered and kissed the tip of Thomas's head.

Ivan smiled and nodded as he stabed soem more salad. "yes, but it is to bad that they didnt' make you invincable. Then I wouldn't have to worry about you so much." he said as he looked at her. He always worryed about her and wether she would be okay or if something happend to her.

Ebony smiled and looked at Ivan. "I promise I wont let someone get the best of me like that again... I was just surprirsed thats all." she said reasuringly. After swallowing the bite of salad she smiled. "Besides, the vampires had to control me somehow which means I have to have a weakness.... Even if it is odd as being gold." she said and shook her head. I wonder why its gold....

Ivan smiled and nodded as he got the last fork full of salad and smiled, "true but I still hate it that they hurt you. But at least I got you away from them." he said as he remembered when he got her out of there hands all those years ago.

Ebony smiled and nodded. "You go ahead and have the last bite." she said and smiled. She nodded and shook her head. "I can't believe that more of half my life was spent in that horrible place." she said softly and shook her head sighing heavily.

Ivan smirked and took the last bit. Then set down the bowl and layed down next to her and wrapped a arm around her. "and I can believe that I spent those years as a dog." he said and looked at her, "but at least we found out way back to each other and I promise nothing like that will happen ever again." he said and kissed her cheek.

Ebony smiled and looked at Thomas. "We should put him in bed." she whispered swinging her legs out of bed. She knew she shouldn't get up but she was stubborn. She wasn't going to let this stupid wond slow her down.
