Runescape???
Anyone play it here?
Its pretty addicting once you lvl up a bit. Let me know if you play.:P |
I used to play...I used to be a member, too.
I used to think Runescape was the best thing since sliced bread, or spreadable butter...But then I found out there were tons better MMORPGs out there, with way nicer people. I got SICK of being called noob everywhere I went, for just asking a simple question. The community was atrocious! When I'm *really really really REALLY* bored, I'll go on there and Mine. My mining skill is pretty high, although I can't remember what exactly. I mine rune essence, and I have a pretty big stash at the moment, I think. Mining was ironically the thing I liked most in runescape...I have no idea why. But yeah I did play runescape, I liked it at first. Don't any more. Sorry if that isn't exactly the answer you wanted. |
Oh~ i used to play, i became a member several times too. x___x,
then i found other cool websites like it. |
I used to go on just because of a group of friends I had in world 113, and all I'd do was sit in Lumbridge and talk to them. Eventually they all became members and left. I wasn't about to spend money on a game I don't even play in the first place, so I just disappeared. I made a noob account about 4 months later though, and I'm hoping to find another group of friends that'll stay F2P with me. ^^
The noob is Neon Neko btw, like lvl 5 right now. 8D xoxo |
haha, I'll add you.
I notice that heaps of people like to sit infront of lumbridge. The community aint to bad for me, But I rarley ask for help, Or PvP so I guess that might have something to do with it. So what other MMOs are there, cause my computer can barley even run RS... |
Runescape is for 14 year old boys.
Total losers. The game sucks. It's for people who dont have a good enough computer to play DECENT games. |

All people like different things, so let's please remember to be respectful of that.

I used to believe Runescape was the best game ever too, but that was only because I hardly played any other games.
Runescape did have its plus though. Although the combat system was atrocious (I only played Runescape 1) I did love the huge amount of quests as well as the huge amount of things you could do from cooking to mining to cutting wood and fishing. I still can't find a game that properly links woodcutting, fire-making, fishing and cooking together and makes it some-what fun to do. After I found out about Ragnarok Online I stopped playing Runescape and played Ragnarok Online for the next 7 or so years due to War of Emperium, the great PvP and because it was my new MSN (better than MSN cause I could chat to friends AND kill them at the same time; or work with them in fending off people during WoE). I don't think I will ever return to Runescape. However no matter how many MMORPGs I always compare them to Ragnarok Online and feel like those other MMORPGs can't compare. |
Ah, I remember playing that in my younger days. It was pretty fun. Not all games have to be big, flashy resource hogs to be entertaining.
Haven't played in a long time though. It's just something I don't really have time for anymore. I'm not really into MMOs any longer... perhaps I just grew out of them? |

.... Ah, no. I'm not in my teens anymore, I have a VERY good computer (and have a X-box 360 and several other systems as well) and I play it. In fact I have met many people my age or older on it. It's a fun game when you start and remains as such until you hit a certain lvl and don't want to be a member. But if you become a member there are a lot more fun things to do. It's keeps your attention and is FREE. How many good online games do you find that are fun, free to play and have plenty to do? Not many. Even Fiesta has it's issues and I get really bored in that game fast. Runescape kept my attention for far longer, especially when I became a member. And even when you become a member it's only $5-8 a month, depending on how you pay. It's reasonably priced. The other fun thing about it too is, it's a game you can put down and come back to in several months without much of a second thought. It's not like crack, such as WoW is... not to mention games like WoW cost way to freaking much (you have to buy the game then pay to play it. Yuck! |
Oh, this was the one thread that I found via the forum index to get this off my shoulders bout the game's current event: It's thanks to Mene that I can slightly do the cryptic clue event fairly well. Or at least on the find such and such person kind of deal to the level that Mene makes its event clues to locations.
Also for those who say it sucks, I rather pay the $70 a year than $70 a month to play a game that even with a better computer than mine can handle. |
Oh! I play! I used to hate it and only got an account cause my friend made me....
It's actually where all my user-names originate! I'm Alfanzo J! I'm only lv 73... I'm actually glad that Runescape exists. Sure, I'd love to play something like World of Warcraft or some game like that, but those games are freakin' expensive! I mean seriously why shove out buckets of money for a game that you can pay 7 bucks for a month? Silly. |
