No! Why did you have to die?!

My computer mouse just died!! D:

I'm just lucky that I had a mouse that I've been using for my laptop when I travel.

I got it when cordless lazer mice where still kinda new and expensive. But I will say that I used it almost constantly for maybe.....5 or 6 years. Because of that I've been sold on the brand if I ever have to look for a mouse.

So defiantly not bad right?

So ever love a computer accessory or any electronic so much that you mourned it's death?

:lol: Hm, not sure, but I would definatly mourn for my lap top if it were to ever to go the Lap Top Repair Shop in the the Sky. :P

My laptop has been in the process of dying for a long time now. I love it because it's my favourite item ever. Today I have a new laptop (I'm on it now!). My poor old laptop is going to be disowned because it is so broken and in pain. But we had a good 4/5 years together. *Sniffle*

Well I cried when the desktop died, but thats mainly because I was in the middle of a story and didn't save it to my flash drive.

I would definatly cry if my laptop died. I love this thing!

Of course I have, especially when I have to work with them all day. Computer parts are really important, and favorite brands are always good too! You never know. You could have a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard of different brands, and they could clash with each other. So sticking to one reliable brand is actually good in that sense. Of course you could try some other brands, if you were willing :3 Who knows you might find another one that you would like better then the one you had before. :3

My art tablet. I only had it for a total of 9 days before it decided that I was no longer worthy. I miss that thing. I'm not much of a computer art person. but it was handy when it came to iscribble chats and for the lulz on the interbutts. oh well here's to hoping I can get my rents to get me one for my birthday this year. that would be all sorts of awesomesauce.

For-Chan Cookie 08-25-2009 05:26 PM

@Longcat - Only 9 days? Why didn't you bring it back? O_O It was probably still under warranty or something.

As to the question at large. My computer died ;_; I'm on a borrowed machine now, waiting on a new part for the old one and hoping I can fix it myself without having some vampiric tech guy suck another $100 out of me for nothing.

I've been working with a dieing laptop too. It just recently got really bad. Every program I open (one at a time mind you) ends up as "not responding" for at least 30 seconds. I'm just glad that my mom noticed this and she was kind enough to buy me a new laptop with my grandparents money that was left to her after they died.

She said that they would have wanted me to have it. Since they always bought me computers when I was growing up. My grandpa was not your stereotypical old person who couldn't figure out computers. He loved them and he never really worked with them in his career.

@E-Spy: Lol i just brought one of those mouses for only ten dollars, hope it last long.

And sadly no one will ever know why it had to die..... =(

lol =)

Yes.

I mourned the loss of my old harddrive when it sparked and fried last year. :(

E-Spy 08-25-2009 11:57 PM

Awww, was it an external hard drive? Cause I know that's where I keep everything that I want to keep on one. If mine died I'd have to freak out cause I have a collection of pictures on it that was years in the making. I also have all my resumes and portfolio images on there too....which makes me think that I really should back those up on hard disc.

I love my WebCam to death because it has a mic and stuff.
xD;
I cried when I sat on it and broke the stand off it.

Varnish 08-26-2009 12:11 AM

I mourned my laptop when it died. T__T;

Raishin 08-26-2009 12:12 AM

@E-Spy: Internal HD, sadly. T___T; It was really a letdown to lose it all.

This thread is about computers and hardware etc. So it belongs in media. I am packing it up and shipping it over there:)

I have never been sad for electricy stuff, but for my head because of them!!! My previous computer tried to kill me by hittin right on my head. Half years later it appeared that my comp was cut half. Like totally!!! But I hadn't noticed so I kept using it for half a year. And now I think that this comp is also broken (slashed again half) , but njah, it still plays Sims 2 so I'm fine. :D

Oh yeah, I just came up with a CD that it precious to me. It's like a monument about good old time's good CDs. It's Starcraft, 80% of it is full of scratches AND it's cracked. Apart. Or just one side of it. But it works perfectly! :D
