Making you feel special.
Doing random acts of kindness/surprises that are personal to show that they listen and care about what you like. Focusing on just you. |
my perfect romantic date would be going out to some fancy resturaunt that he'll treat me to. Then he'd take me home pick me up and carry me to the bedroom which would be dark and lit by candles with rose pedals on the bed. He would gently lay me on the bed and we would make love romantically. :D oh my god now i miss him more...

I Would totally Melt if a Guy/Girl Wrote me a Song <3 And I godda Say if They cook me dinner and give me a New Video Game like Tekken And we play that for Hours, That'd be my Perfect date <3 Although I Wouldn't mind Tickets to a Rock Concert and Chocolate cake/Something Smothered in Chocolate after

My husband surprised me with a copy of "Wrath of the Lich Ling". (We're nerds :D) It's little things like that that I find most romantic. I'm not a big fan of cheesy movie-style romance. I think the best way to romance are the little things someone does to remind the other of how much they're loved, like a surprise on a random morning, or doing the dishes, or making dinner for the other person. It really is the thought that counts.

when a guy kisses me on the hand dunno why makes me blush like a little girl.
|
Silly as it might sound, I always find it romantic when my boyfriend brings home Mountain Dew for me. Or when he actually remembers to put my shaving cream back in the shower and puts his dishes in the dishwasher.
I'm very easy to please, as you can tell. I'm not much for big gestures, I just like unexpected surprises that mean something. Roses are sweet too, I guess. |
I think there's something cute about just sitting on a roof, staring at the night sky.
Really, the only romantic thing I've kiss in the rain...With a guy I wasn't dating. :I I suck. |

Most romantic thing for me is when I mention that I really want a certain book, and then the guy goes out and buys it for me. I just think that if he remembered the title of a book that he could really care less about then he must be a great guy.
Oh, and flowers once in a while of course, i know they die really quickly and all but its the gesture that counts. It just says, I was thinking of you. |
A man to smile across the room, then slowly walk over and wipe the stray hair from my face. My ex did that...he was so romantic.
He'd ask me to dance when there was no music playing. He'd walk with me to get the mail; he said he couldn't stand to be apart from me for that long. He'd leave the bedstand light on when I was staying up late working on my paper, I don't trip over anything in the dark. I miss him so. |
Oh, goodness...I'm single, and the last two boyfriends I had couldn't do romantic if they tried. The romance I get and crave is from my best friend who knows me better than anyone else, and it'll stay that way until I finally do land a boyfriend.
I'm not one who craves candles, dimly lit rooms, music and rose petals, but I won't say I hate them. In fact, I love it, and I'm sure it'd be absolutely wonderful if I had a man that would do that for me, but only on special, rare occasions. As far as romance on a more common basis, I do enjoy flowers, especially tulips and roses. I love little presents and things, but my favorite kind of romance is to just lay on my bed or the couch or even the floor (but I have a bad back), and just snuggling. My best friend is a lot taller than me, and even though she's got a baby and she's married, when we're together, she holds me and I lay my head on her shoulder and we watch our favorite movies. It's just because we're so close and we're both extremely affectionate people. It's the little affections I love. A kiss on the forehead, a little nuzzle at the jaw, laying my head on a shoulder. When I hug someone, if it's someone I'm very close to like my best friend, I'll hold on and rest my head on their shoulder, snuggling into their neck. That's the kind of stuff I love. I love being held. |
I can't really define such a thing, as with every relationship, things like this are different. However I'm fairly certain that the sexiest, most romantic thing anyone can ever do is tell me how they really feel. Being able to emotionally communicate with me is something many, many people have failed to do.

dark red roses, candles, soft music, beach, stars and a full moon...i mean really, that would be ideal i think. |
Romantic....Hmmm...
My fiance wrote me a song and recorded it for me. It's one of his best and I love it! I love to cuddle and a couple flowers here and there don't hurt. :) The most romantic though is seeing him do random daily things. Like dishes, or cook. It's so cute! |
i dont know about the whole date thing. but i think what's really romantic is for someone to sing my favourite song to me... and plays the guitar. and has really nice manly voice... and nice eyes.... and body. *o* :vicky:

I find things like writing and watching movies romantic. But I'm not much of a romantic. I find flowers cliche and tacky. :')
|
- Watching a movie together, one that I like or we both like
- Sushi dinner - Icecream dessert =3 - Cuddling - Kissing - Saying sweet nothings to each other - Him acting all possessive, it makes me blush alot ^////^ |
Yes to the rose petals and candles...but not so much the Barry White. Massages are romantic though!
|
Hmm Romantic...My husband doesn't do the cliche things. I've been trying to coax him into serenading me, and I'm waiting for that day he sings "A whole new world" to me. (Inside joke..:XP)
He does the little things...like I'm cooking or washing dishes in the kitchen and he'll wrap his arms around me and hold me and kiss my shoulders and neck and tell me he loves me. He constantly sends me emails on his breaks at work telling me how he's doing and he always says "Love you" somewhere in them. Wrapping his arms around me and spooning me when I'm laying on my side. I love that. :) And then he almost always cooks up a breakfast on one of his days off, and occasionally he'll bring it to me in bed. |
Maybe I'm off on my definition of romantic. but I love going for a hike in the pouring rain, being forced to use one tiny umbrella and trying to avoid puddles and rivulets.
@Izumi: my boyfriend does the same thing while I'm cooking, but my kitchen is pretty spread out so when I need a utensil I need to try shuffling to get it, and he doesn't help me at all, just continues with his hug. |
A walk through the park on a spring morning, cool breeze blowing through my hair as my love and I slowly make our way through grass and flowers...
A wide-open field, far away from city lights, and a star full of skies on a summer's night, with nothing but my love, a blanket, and a telescope... A quiet, peaceful walk through falling amber leaves in autumn, their scent mixing with that of pumpkin pie wafting through the air, as my love and I laugh together, shuffling through the leaves... A day of playful frolic in a field full of snow, the winter sun hidden behind light gray clouds, laughing heartily as we pelt each other with snowballs and later snuggle up with a cup of hot cocoa... A softly played piano in the background of a quiet dinner at home that my love and I prepared together... Or even just cuddling on the couch as we ask each other how the other's day went. These are things that I find romantic. |
I consider a lovely night out, heartfelt, loving words, and gentle imtimacy romantic.
