That must be some freakin' intensely interesting chatting to be able to call the games 'frustrating and boring'. Lol. I have a ton more fun playing the games than forcing myself to chat about nonsense.

scholar 06-28-2010 12:27 AM

LOL, Foxy. I find some of the nonsense to be enjoyable when I'm tired at the end of a long day. But there are times when I simply bow out of a thread because the conversation is just too random.

Foxy 06-28-2010 12:37 AM

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love nonsensical chatting, too. But not to the point where I would consider it more enjoyable than playing games. Not exclusively, anyway.

scholar 06-28-2010 12:37 AM

I totally agree. (I assume you're writing your RP post right now? Sorry my last one was so short, but conversations are hard to do with long posts.)

Foxy 06-28-2010 12:44 AM

Wow, look at you, Miss Pushy! (Haha, I'm only kidding~)
Uh, yep, I actually just got back from eating so I'm about to start up on it now. And never apologize for short replies... I am far from being one of those stingy people who hate them. It is totally and completely 100% understandable given the situation. I expect mine to be equally short for the next little while, also.

scholar 06-28-2010 12:59 AM

*pushes* :P Just that you were so on-the-mark earlier, I wasn't sure if you'd not seen my reply or something.

I have to say, RPing with you is a ton of fun.

sadrain 06-28-2010 01:28 AM

Well, when I would consider playing games, I couldn't play them, now when I can, I am on Mene much less and don't care for the items so much anymore, so killing time with playing games for two and half hours just seems boring to me, especially since I have other things to do, and then I also forget to check back at them.... It seems too slow for me, and then it cracks up sometimes, therefor frustrating.
I, in general, have never been very keen about repetitive games. ^^;

And, mind you, it doesn't mean it was nonsense chatting. x.x;; And I don't do it all that often anymore, too. x3 But there were times when Mene was very active and if you are online for 12 hours... it just happens. ;;>.>

scholar 06-28-2010 01:38 AM

True enough about the games being repetitive! I have a fondness sometimes for mindless repetition, especially when I'm tired after a day of classes or teaching. And right now I really want those panda slippers badly enough to deal with the repetitiveness even when I'm not in the mood.

Would you say Mene isn't as active as it used to be?

Bahaha, I always see the replies! I am just... super slow.

Oh my gosh, that is the nicest comment ever. I can't believe you're saying that after we only just started. xD But I am so glad! I am the most self-conscious person when role-playing, so I am super glad you are having fun. I have to admit that every time I read your posts I get this huge geeky grin on my face. I am enjoying it so far, too. But I swear, once things start heating up my face is going to start looking like the Joker's.

I actually agree with you there. Repetitive games are BLAH. I get enough of them from Facebook. But I have this mental addiction to want lots of money in these fashion-related games/communities. Just like when I played on Gaia and the MMO's I play... the only thing I cared about was having a bunch of cool stuff for my avatar. Because of that, I am willing to work to achieve the things I want -- even if it means withstanding repetitive games.

scholar 06-28-2010 02:38 AM

Fangirls at least you can ignore and then come back to, unlike Tetris or Fishing, where you're doing the same thing over and over and OVER again.

And Menewsha's pixels are SO shiny to me right now that I'd do a heck of a lot to get them on my avi. Greed is a very powerful motivator! XD

Foxy 06-28-2010 02:44 AM

aGREED. Bahaha. I could not resist.

And the Fangirls game... ugh, I tried it today and it was so annoying. I think I probably just don't understand it. Then I look at all the high scores on the games and wonder what aliens have possessed those people to achieve such high scores?! I compare them to mine and it is ridiculously pathetic.

scholar 06-28-2010 02:51 AM

Fangirls is pretty easy. You just put the 200gold "towers" towards the corners and then build outwards from there. Only on levels 10, 18, and 21 do you need to add more during the course of the invasion.

Foxy 06-28-2010 01:01 PM

I took your advice and got to level 14 instead of 2! Yay me~

scholar 06-28-2010 10:50 PM

W00t! I'm glad I could help. Usually by level 14 or 15 I have a cluster of four towers at each corner. I also start with them not actually IN the corner, but one square away diagonally, if that makes sense. "In" rather than along the road. You actually get more coverage there.

Captain Howdy 06-28-2010 11:01 PM

What I like to do is place C4 charges at integral parts in the roadway. There are to ensure that anything missed by the land mines will be thoroughly destroyed. Another great benefit is to hire ex-military snipers. Y'know, mercenaries with nothing to lose and nowhere to call home. They're relatively cheap and don't ask too many question. Try to hire the ones who aren't addicted to opium.

If all else fails, I employ the boxing kangaroos who have been infused with the power of satan.

scholar 06-29-2010 12:08 AM

Yes, those are excellent ways to deal with fangirls. XD

Foxy 06-29-2010 11:59 PM

Hey, Scholar, I finally made my quest thread like I said I would! ^^ It's in my sig~

scholar 06-30-2010 01:49 AM

I saw it, nice!!

scholar 07-03-2010 01:25 AM

My thread was on the second page. :( I need to keep better track of it!

Foxy 07-04-2010 12:49 AM

You changed your look! It's very nice! I especially love the wings. :) And now you are facing the same way as me, kekeke.

scholar 07-04-2010 02:07 AM

I get bored with the direction every week or so. :D

I'm not sure about my avi's new hair, but I'll wait a few days to figure out what I really want.

Foxy 07-07-2010 01:40 AM

Now it's so bare!!!

scholar 07-07-2010 10:34 PM

Yeah, I confess I was trying really hard last week, but it didn't feel like me, and I got kind of tired of it. Besides, now the avi really *does* look a bit more like me.

*gasp* it's a photo of me...X

Foxy 07-07-2010 10:48 PM

*Squuuueeeee* You're so cuuuuuuutteeeee~
*Sees all those papers and books* ... *Compares to own collection* ... Oh mai. Now I feel like an elementary school girl.

scholar 07-08-2010 04:12 AM

*blushes* Garsh, thanks. The papers -- that's because I was sitting at school, in our TA office. The crap behind me actually belongs to all my colleagues.

(My own bookshelves at home are MUCH better organized.)
