Azurae walked into the cafe. She'd enjoyed herself yesterday and the food had been delicious, so she had returned, hoping to engage someone in a conversation this time.
The cafe smelled faintly of cheese and she wondered why... |
Isabella left Devlin and wandered over to the girl that came in. "Hiya! I remember you. Sorry, I don't really know your name but we were gonna offer to walk you home last night since it was really late," she said. "I'm Isabella. Would you like to have a seat? Can I get you anything?"
At this point, Devlin's thoughts were so fuzzy that he dove into the staff lounge after finishing his black coffee to go lay on the couch in the small room, groaning quietly yet uncomfortably. ((I hope people notice that it's still gonna be the same day for another few days...)) |
Azurae smiled at Isabella "Really? Oh, that's so sweet of you." She held out her hand for Isabella to shake "I'm Azurae, nice to meet you!" She looked around the room and grabbed the chair nearest her "I think I'll just sit here. And I wouldn't mind another one of those delicious smoothies like I had yesterday."
((Oh cool! That's a good way to be able to play everything out without worrying about time zones and such)) |
Isabella grinned and shook Azurae's hand. "It's no problem. We didn't know if you'd just disappeared or whatever. But yeah, feel free to have a seat!" Thinking a bit, she added, "That smoothie was a strawberry-mango-banana smoothie, right?" she asked. She also fanned the air around her with her hand for a bit. "I'm sorry it smells a little cheesy in here - two of our employees had some weird experiment going on last night after work."
((Yeah, we figured since people have running conversations, and we still wanted time to go on in the RP, we figured out a compromise, so when Wednesday rolls around, that's gonna be the 3rd official day in the RP.)) |
Cindy strolls into the Wallflower Cafe happy as a clam.
She takes a seat at the counter and plays with the sugar packets. She isn't crazy, just happy.((^_^)) |
Richard saw the girl from last night come in. A moment later Cindy had also walked through the door. He walked up to her staying behind the counter this time, "So how are you doing on this fine day?"
"I'm doing fine on this fine day." Cindy smiled "How are you are today?"
"I'm good," Richard replied, "So can I get you anything?"
"That's good." Cindy looked at the menu, then at Richard again "Hmmm, any suggestions on what I should get. I feel a little indecisive today." She laughed lightly.
"Well, do you like fish?" Richard asked, "Or would you rather have spaghetti?"
"Two good choices..... I think I'm going to pick spaghetti." Cindy nodded.
Azurae sat down and turned to Isabella "Oh, I sat around for awhile, but since no one else had come outside, I ended up heading home. And yeah, it was a strawberry-mango-banana smoothie...hmmm...how about this time you just tell Devlin to throw whatever kind of fruit he wants in it? I think it'd be interesting to see what he comes up with and I feel like a surprise today." She continued. "Weird experiment with cheese? Whatever were they doing with it?
She giggled. "Dev? He's not feeling well right now, so I'm kinda taking over his job until he gets better. The boys and the cheese...well...you really don't wanna know about it. I don't think I even should've known about it!" she explained. "But I'll see what I can do to surprise you. Be right back," Isabella said as she wandered over to the drink counter.
For the smoothie, she had those previous strawberries, mangos, and bananas in. She also tossed in some kiwi, orange, cherry, lychee gels, and some caramel and chocolate sauces. Along with those, she mixed in frozen yogurt and ice. The blender had everything processed together in a few seconds, so Isabella put the contents into a tall glass along with a large straw. Unlike Devlin's style, she put the strawberry and a slice of orange stabbed into the toothpick of the tropical drink umbrella. When she returned with the drink on her standard tray, she put the glass on top of the small napkin to use as a coaster. "Allrighty, here you go! One smoothie surprise, a la Isabella Scott," she announced. ((I feel like I'm abusing him with this hangover thing! XD)) |
mika walked through the front door "umm wheres the manager"
Isabella looked up to see a girl walk in. "Um...she's kind of busy right now, but maybe I can help you. What do you need?"
Garrett walked into the Cafe a day later (was it a day later? Perhaps it was still the same day. So much had been happening to him lately that all the days seemed to run together...). This time, however, he was not anticipating anyone following him. This time, he was in a much better mood, clearly not trying to evade anyone. Today, he just wanted a cup of coffee.
He walked in and immediately sat down at an empty table, and waited patiently. |
Cindy walked around the cafe, and saw someone come in and sit at a table.
"Hey what's up?" She asked the man she had talked to the other day. |
"Significantly less than the last time we spoke, I'm sure," he said, trying his best to appear suave. This time, he was not hiding out from anyone: quite beneficial to the process of trying to be friendly. "So," he said. "Is there anything going on with you?"
(@Hyena - Yes, we've changed days and will be doing so every Wednesday and Sunday, so as not to perpetually live out the same day for all eternity XD)
"That's good." Cindy said nodding. "Nope, not really, just chilling in here until closing. Is it alright if I sit here for a minute?"
"Go right on ahead," he said, pulling the seat out for her to sit in. "Did I catch your name the other day? I don't believe I did, and its a shame for the both of us to continue going on unintroduced." He held his hand out to her for a handshake. "The name is Wight. Garrett Wight."
"Thanks you. You're quite a gentleman" Cindy smiled. She shook Garett's hand "Nice to meet you Garrett, I'm Cindy Leigh. You can call me whichever you like."
"You think so, huh?" It was the first time he had been called such a thing. Though, context played an important part in this meeting: he was meeting her in a cafe rather than a bar. He was certain that if he met her in a bar, she would think quite differently of him. This was information that he decided to keep in mind next time he went out for the sole purpose of meeting women. "A pleasure to meet you, Cindy," he said, ignoring his thought process. "So, do you work here, then? Or just spending your time wisely?"
"I hope to work here someday, but right now I am just wasting time unwisely. I should be cleaning the house, but that's such a boring task. What about you?" Cindy smiled curiously.
"I... well, I work in finances," he said, a lie that he told just enough times that no one bothered to question it. "Absolutely dull work, it is," he continued. "Dealing with other people's money."
