Alex left work only to get stood up on another date at a local dinner.

Cafe is open for Week 2, Day 2
Candy: Yes I did see your character but I haven't updated anyone's profile yet, so I need to go back through everyone's and get them done. Firefox is being twitchy on me right now so I'm gonna have to log into Margie from here. I had a nightmare. Someone reported me for my menus and I got punished by the person that sent me my infraction on here last year. |
Richard walked into the cafe. He had been somewhat glad of the previous days abundance of customers. He wondered if there would be as many today. He grabbed his apron and went over to the front door to turn the closed sign to open.

Ophelia walks in and sits down "Hello" she said to the boy

Isabella got in early but hadn't yet flipped the sign. "Oh, Richard, I'm glad you're here. We just got the new menus in this morning and I've already added the new pages," she said, walking up to him and showing him one. "They're primarily vegan/vegetarian, suggesting meat substitutes, but they can also just use meat if requested. Do you think you can handle 'em? I've heard of some of them before so I could help if you need to know what's in them," she offered. They were good friends, why shouldn't she help? She hadn't spoken to him in a while, either.
Devlin looked to Richard while he was busy mopping the floor. He had one of those 'Caution: Wet Floor' signs in the middle of the floor. "Hey dude, you seriously took a long break yesterday, huh?" He watched Isabella too, although her back was facing him and he could only see a quarter of her face the way she was turned. Yeah, he was a fool for her, and he was too proud to admit it. But either way, neither of them could set their pride aside to cool down. When he was done, he returned to the counter and brought a glass of water to the girl that just sat down. "Hello, can I get you anything?" he asked, also handing one of the newer menus over. |
Alex walked in and ploped herself down on the ratty couch they had in back."I hate men!"she yelled

Cindy walked in and heard Alex in the back. "Hey are you okay?" She said toward the back of the cafe. |
Richard looked at the menu Isabella had given him. "Quite a long menu there," he said, "I might have a little trouble at first with some of the international food choices. But nothing that a little internet search overnight would do. For a meat substitute would I just use tofu or was there anything else that good for that?" Isabella was good with a few foods and he was glad for the help.
Richard turned to Devlin, "Yeah, sorry 'bout that." he sighed and scratched his head, "Um, I had some family issues I needed to clear up. Apparently my mom thinks I'm some sort of a psych major or some social worker." He saw Cindy walk in and was about to say hello when he noticed what was going on in the back room. "Um, maybe I should go check that out," he said as he made his way to the back, "Cindy I might need you're help with this." he waved her over and hoped Cookie wouldn't mind this for just one moment. |
"Okay, Richard." Cindy walked into the back with him to check up on Alex.

"I got stood up twice"Alex said beating up a couch cushion

"Aw, Alex, you're much better than him, you're too good for him." Cindy said sitting next to Alex on the unpunched cushion, rubbing her back in circles trying to comfort her.

"I know but the same thing happened last week too."Alex said as she pouted

Richard wasn't sure of what to do so he decided to as Alex, "Would you like me to make you something special?" He was trying his best to comfort her but had no idea on how to deal with the issue at hand.

"Two different guys?" Cindy asked sympathetically. "Still I bet they will regret standing you up for the rest or their lives." She nodded, knowing what she had just said was the straight up truth. Cindy looked at Richard, "That sounds like a good idea." She turned to Alex. "Hey Lex, anything your tastebuds are craving?"

"Some men are fickle but, some aren't" Cindy said looking at Richard smiling. "You just have to have luck and hopefulness that you'll find a good man." Vanna walked into the cafe, hearing the ruckus in the back she sat down quietly and entertained herself with her ipod. |
Yosuke entered into the cafe and walked to the back to time-in and grab his apron. "'Sup, guys! How's it goin'?"

Vanna looked at the man who just grabbed an apron, "hello."

"What would you like the most?" Richard asked Alex.

"hmmmm let me see the new menu I'll be your guinea pig for now."Alex said with a laugh
