i would say as long as you are not being creepy then no age is too old but i would say that there is a limit for being to young.i would say eight or nine would be the youngest. at that age kids should be out in the mud playing and causing havoc for parents.

I don't think you're ever too old for avatar sites. As long as you're not some 50 year older creeper. XD And as long as you actually have a life outside of the computer.

Certainly agree with you and others that while there should not be an upper limit, there should most definitely be an under limit. I would disagree with your assertion that it should be set at eight or nine however. As that strikes me as way too young. I would much rather see people at least thirteen or fourteen being members here.

I would say that this applies to lying about your age in general. It is just as creepy for someone who is 13 or 14 to lie about being much older than it is for the reverse. Especially how people commonly act slightly differently to people who are quite younger/older vs those who are a similar age.

All ages should be welcomed, I think. The broad range offers different perspectives and wisdom for the debates and discussions we have here, and it balances things nicely. I'm 21, and I don't think I'm too old at all :)

Yea I agree I am turning 25 in a month and I've been on here for 2 years I think and as long your not a creeper then you should have no problem and if your too young you might not get things so i totaly agree.

There shouldn't be an age limit as far as on the older end of the spectrum. You can be 70 and playing on here, as long as you don't hit on the young'ens, then it's all good. But there is such a thing as too young. I'm glad the site doesn't allow anyone under the age of 12 - at least not without parental approval.

Nah... don't think there really is an age limit.... I'm 23.... though I do sometimes feel old.

It's all about a persons intention; if a person's intention is to have fun and meet new people then thats cool!
If however a persons intention is too be creepy/weird stalkers then of course that is innapropriate no matter what age.
Age is relative, its all about the individual :)

I don't really think it matters all that much. I've met someone on here who had teenage kids (not sure their exact age) and they were a ton of fun to talk to.

Well I dunno thats a hard one, I think some users would be freaked out if they were talking to a 50 year old guy so i think there is but isnt. I prolly dont make sense now.

I guess there just isn't an age limit on any site :P It's open to the public, so anyone can join. People just think it's too old for some people because the majority of young people join these type of sites.
That's my way of look on everything actually :)

Er, personally I think that maybe if you're older than 30 (maybe the age where you start a family) you might be too old for avatar sites. Seems like people that age usually have less time on their hands to be going on sites like this.

As another member who is 23, I can certainly understand how you feel. Especially given most people I have become friends with on Menewsha are younger than myself. Two of them which come to mind are even sixteen years old! Granted they are highly intelligent sixteen year olds, they still make me feel old!

I'm 23 and on gaia I felt old.....

Here on mene the userbase is older....I believe both juru and jelly are like twice my age (or relatively in there)

And there is alot of users in my age range. I think mene, being more mature and community based then other avatar sites gives a calling out to the older user base. I am actually in the mid range of mene as far as age goes.

I'll be 21 on the 24th of march, and I don't think I'm too old for these sites, but I often times do wonder this question myself. I'm new to this site, I literally stumbled upon it last night, so far I'm liking it, but I'm more on Gaia. A lot of the members over there are really young, around 14, and it makes me feel wayyyy too old for these sites...But I think as long as you enjoy yourself, and respect the younger members, you should be fine.=]

I don't really see there being an age limit. Age is pretty arbitrary on the internet.

If you want to converse with people, fine. Who cares how old you are?

The only way I see it getting weird is when roleplay is involved, which I can see leading to some pretty awkward situations. But since I steer clear of those forums, I'm cool with any age. I'm a 20-year-old with some friends in their 30's and 40's. If I can talk to them in real life, why not on Mene?

I don't think there is an age that makes one creepy for using an Avatar-based site like Mene. It's an interest. There are old men who draw anime and make pretties and things. Look at Hayao Miyazaki. We don't see that as creepy. Why something like this?

I don't believe in an age limit for avatar sites. You can never be too old to meet new people and make friends. Some people may find it strange to find an older person on an avatar site, but why? Users tend to be drawn to people of their own age group, anyway. Besides, your age doesn't harm anyone.
