Ah. No, I don't know what deshita is. It sounds familiar but I don't know what it means.
Oooh! Ok. I'm glad you told me those, it helped straighten things up for me. I kept getting confused while studying because it would change the order of things. :P |
desu = is
so deshita = was. I got some great books in to help me study!! So happy. ^_^ One is on a technique for listening and repeating called 'Shadowing' and one is a textbook for intermediate studies with an amazing cd to listen to of casual conversation. There's one track with a couple of business men discussing their McDonald's lunch. I WANT a McTerriaki burger!!! |
@Jez: Ah! That's why deshita sounded familiar. :P
That sounds pretty cool. I have so many books to learn, and a bunch of websites I can use. @[email protected] One would think I'd be a lot farther along than I am. xD!! |
Ummm hey guys ... my dad is throwing a fuss about a lot of stuff and I might not be able to get on very often. Imma see if my fiance can help with that a bit and if I can go to the library more soon but I'm not really sure....
Jez- thanks haha.. and omg that's cool 8D lololol I had one in Kyoto but my sister bought an extra and it got old so we had to throw it away.... IkuAki- haha well it takes time xP Books and websites like what? : o |
Aww that sucks. I hope things get straightened out for you. D=
Websites- YesJapan, StudyJapanese.org, RealKana, Jisho.org Books- YesJapan book, Genki I, a bunch of other smaller study type books. |
Yahh right now I was trying to email a teacher so I'm allowed to be online lol but omggg I can't find the right email address anywhere @[email protected] they were on the JET program in Japan but they should be back. I hope they are and still in the system over here.... I really need help from him haha.....
And well yah it's complicated but for sure it will all be okay when I move in no less than 10 1/2 months lol Xd Ah okay : O hmmm I haven't really used those. I might take a look at them later... |
Yeah, its a game for ds. Right now I just hit Kanji 1 so its thrown me over a loop... Since I'm still learning how to read and write Hiragana and Katakana. >.<
|
Aww haha what are the words? Or do you not know? : o Idk how that game really works. I only understand my ds game. lol. Which is more of a translator than anything.
EDIT: みんなさんはお元気ですか。 アァッ!! このコンピューターでMENEWSHAのことばは小さいですよ! ちょっとへんで すが。 ニュース 弟の猫は子猫がいる! 2010・2・4からです。 |
I really need to finish learning hiragana. xD
|
おはいようございます!ちひろです。どぞよろしくおねがいします!
でも、今たくさん日本語がしりません。最近べんきょしません。今韓国語をべんきょうしなくては いけません。 smart.fmのべんきょうのサイトもいいサイトですね! sorry, i couldn't resist practicing my Japanese >.< good morning! my name is chihiro. please extend your favor to me! but i don't know a lot of Japanese. recently i don't study. now i need to study Korean. smart.fm study site is a good site too!! |
@IkuAki- sou desu~ ganbatte ne.. do you want help? : 3
@chiriro- ahahah daijoubu desu yo! (sumimasen ga, otouto no konpyuutaa de taipu wo shimasu kara, romaji de taipu surun desu.) Chihirosan, ohayou gozaimasu! ^_^ Douzo yoroshiku! Yoku dekimashita yo Sumimasen, chotto isogashii desu. ^^" |
@Strange- Thanks. 8) I'm sure if I actually studied just hiragana I would be farther along with it, but I learn 5-10 new hiragana along with sentence structure and new words. That's the only reason it's taking me awhile to learn it. xP
|
Kobanwa. Ogenki desu ka? Gomen, sukoshi Nihongo wa wakarimasu.
|
Konbanwa, Sweet-san. Genki desu. Soshite tsukareta desu. (Tadashii ne?) I only understand a little too. :P I know a lot less when trying to make sentences. D;
|
I just know the basic stuff so I actually sux at Japanese. XD
|
Well the basic stuff is the foundation! Part of what I said, I'm asking if I said it correctly. :P
|
I think you said it correct. :)
|
Well thanks. :D
|
IkuAki- Hai, tadashikatta desu. ^_^
Sweet- Aaa! Youkoso! Hajimemashite. Strange desu. Douzo yoroshiku. Sweetsan no nihongo ga ii desu. Minnasan wa nihongo wo benkyou shiteimasu yo. (= Daijoubu desu. Minnasan de renshuu wo shimasu. ((Just tell me if you don't understand parts of that..)) |
@Strange- Arigatou. :D
"Douzo" to "youkoso", nan desu ka? (I don't know if that's correct or not either.) XD I'm being brave with sentences. That whole last part I didn't understand either. Ga! |
IkuAki- Your braveness is commended! heheh.. okay..so.. hm... "to" is for nouns, and those aren't nouns, but as you don't know those words you really wouldn't know that XD so whatever lol. When you ask that question it makes overall sense.
"Douzo" is used all throughout Japanese.. If someone comes to your house and they are at your door, you can say "douzo". If you are holding out food and want to offer some to them, you say "douzo". It really just boils down to mean "go ahead". "Youkoso" means welcome.. hmm imma write the translation in white for the other part so that if Sweet is trying to understand and is almost done then I don't just toss away a lot of the effort XD Sweetsan no nihongo ga ii desu. = Sweet's Japanese is good. Minnasan wa nihongo wo benkyou shiteimasu yo. = Everybody is learning Japanese, you know. (= Daijoubu desu. = >.> I leave this up to you to translate XD Minnasan de renshuu wo shimasu. = All together we are practicing. (Lit. translation: As everybody [we] do the practice.)**** |
Oooh! Lmao. I should have known there would be a rule about that. Well.. I do know that you can't use 'to' to connect sentences. :B
Neato! I see "douzo" a lot and just never really knew what it meant. White text: Haha I thought "Minnasan" was a person. xP Yukai Barentaindee Dei !! |
Mm ya for adjectives you use -kute and for sentences you end them and make it more smooth by using Soshite but "to" is for nouns. I hope that doesn't sound too complicated... ^^"
Hai, IkuAkisan mo~! Yukai Barentaindee dei!! ^_^ *offers cookie* Douzo~ Donna koto wo shimashita ka? hahahaha XD funny.. well.. if you say like "kumochan" that means a bear or "otakusan" it means otaku.. Minna does mean everybody though so Minnasan would be everyone. I'm glad I learned that early in class because it made everything make a heck of a lot more sense the way she talked. xP Ahh omg Hilary Duff song stuck in my head @[email protected] halp. Hmm I hope that sweet stops by again soon : o |
Somewhere, I heard that "shi" is used to connect sentences. :O *noms on cookie* Is it: "What things we did?" Like.. is that basically what it's asking? xD Grocery shopping, went to the movies, had dinner at home. He made spaghetti and I made chocolate ganache. Yum~ What did you guys do? |
Brr brr brr! 天気は長寒いですね。 T.T
It would help if the clouds hurried out of the way... -pokes- Kumo, hayaku kudasaiii! ;-; The sun is drowning behind you! I'm excited, we're learning more kanji in class, now =D We learned Te form even more thoroughly, learned Tai form and Hoshii, and.. Fun stuff. X3 I must have missed the explanation on connecting adjectives.. I thought it was just making one of them te form and the other in whatever form it needs to be in to fit what you're talking about. Like past, present tense etc. >_o |
