@scholar- Yes I do, and I love it, I have been doing as many things as I can too. Yesterday I went to the 3 village tug of war, it happens every 12 years in my town of Chatan. My town won, but I was pulling for the other side, bad me! At least I lost, ha ha. I am loving being in Okinawa. How is everyone today?

今、スカラシップを申し込んでいるから、とても忙しいなんだ。フルブライトと言うスカラシップで、日本に行 きたいし、日本人と勉強したいし。

@Liunesta: Gosh, that really sounds like a lot of fun. I hope that, if I win this scholarship, I'll be able to travel all over Japan during the year I'm there. My advisor seems to think I have a good chance; in fact, I'm supposed to be working on my personal statement right now. But I miss Mene! It's so calming and centering for me.

scholar-Good luck on that! I hope that I get to visit other parts of Japan as well, so far I have only been to Kansai airport in Osaka and Okinawa. I really want to visit Korea before I move from over here to wherever we will move next.

I spent time in Tokyo, Nagoya, and a bit in Kyoto when I was much younger, for like a total of a month. Once on a homestay, once on a tour with my youth orchestra. I really want to go to Hokkaido!

Oops!! LOL I was going back and forth between short and polite, hence the extra です in there (I put that before I added in と思う)

えっと、あまり電子辞書を使わない。ときどきGoogle Translateを使うがあまいよくない。私の日本語のクラス、たくさんDialoguesを作った。わ たしたち書いた後でGoogleを使った。これは、ちょっとおもしろかった。。。私は「あっ、雨がふりそう ですね。はい。ラジオで雨がふるそうでしょう」と言ったがGoogleは「Oh, you are so fake rain. Yes. Why not shake the rain on the radio」と言った。ちょっとおもしろいね？LOL

Whoops. (*is too lazy to do Japanese, as she had to write another self-introduction email in Japanese the other day, asking for contact information for a composer...*) I think what happened is that Mene tried to auto-format jisho.org, and then thought the Japanese, since I had no spaces, was part of the URL. I was trying to say that you can search for kanji, look at example sentences, and all kinds of interesting stuff over at Denshi Jisho.

I'll have to try it out sometime. I think I used it once, but not really. I usually just use my little dictionary :) (My brain is too dead to use Japanese right now...and if I try to switch over, I'll be using it at work, which would be amusing but some customers are really uptight about things >.<)
