Cassius walked through the city, drinking it all in. He loved moving to new places, which he had to do quite often so people wouldn't get suspicious about his not aging- or apparently not aging, but he enjoyed it none the less. It was dark and the stars were out, the slightly hint of a sliver of the moon in the sky. This was the best type of night to be out, he could feel the coolness of the air on his face, and in the breeze that blew his long blue-black hair gracefully from his face.

He had wandered onto lesser populated streets, sort of like a ghetto, only not as dismal and depressing. He observed everything, memorizing certain things- like where he was going.

Rosello wandered in the higher class parts of his city, reveling in the party atmosphere of the clubs he passed while on his nightly hunt. The city was alive as always, ibrant with its neon lights and even when those faded the sounds of a city that couldn't decide if it wanted to rest or continue going on its merry way into the wee hours of the night.

He loved it here, this little slice of teritory he'd carved out for himself. And the boy was fiercely protective of his lands. There were only 3 other vampires living in his city and they all pledged loyalty to him. Except for tonight. He sensed another and turned his keen senses to locating this intruder.

Who ever he was he'd regret barging into the young vampires lands.

Cassius continued his wandering, now debating whether or not he should hunt here tonight or wait until tomorrow, or a few days later. He didn't have to feed every night, and thought it was a waste to feed when he didn't need it- it wasn't as enjoyable when he didn't. He turned left down a slightly livelier street and noted he was getting closer to the part of the city that was more alive. People walked past, and most of them observed Cassius as they did so. He smiled politely at them, not showing any teeth, and they either smiled back, or just stared as they passed and there was the occssional person who did both. Cassius was surely dressed different, but not so far from the fashions of the modern world. His clothing was normal, the white button up shirt and black dress pants, simple black boots... Though, his cape was a bit different than most would wear in the modern world. There was also the matter of his hair, which was an odd color its self. It was really black, but it apppeared as though it was more blue than anything. He wasn't sure if anyone would notice that it was his natural color, but he could always use the excuse it was dyed. Also, his eyes were on the yellow side, but he could usually play it off as though they were light brown and the light was playing tricks on them.

As he walked, he could sense the presence of other vampires in the city, which didn't bother him. As long as they left him alone, he would leave them alone and they could all stay out of each other's way. He was thinking about finding the thoughts of those vampires, which he guessed were four, at least, but decided not to get off to a bad start by invading their privacy.

Rosello grinned, sensing this intruder getting closer to him. He was coming towards the young male dressed in elegant club clothing. The crisp drees shirt was a rich jewel toned emerald like the boys eyes, a black coat over it and dark slacks and shoes. He knew how to fit in with the humans he feasted on.

And then he saw him, the intruder aand took quick steps up to boldly face off against the older man. For his age the boy was extremely powerful and didn't fear whoever was in his city.

Ananas à Pois 09-05-2009 01:36 AM

That's when Cass saw him- the boy with the emerald eyes; he was no boy, but another of Cass' kind. He walked up to Cassius with such confidence in his stride, that Cassius knew he had something important to say to him. He wasn't about to shrug him off without reason, so he simply offered a small smile and a greeting, "Hello there. So nice to see another creature of the night enjoying such a lovely one." he observed the other boy's clothing, and knew he was trying hard to fit in with the humans, so he must have been hunting, or at least scouting possible victims. Little did the boy know, creatures like them never fit in, no matter how they looked.

"Not quite so nice as to see another kindred in my territory."Rosello hissed, barely holding back his fangs as the anger of the slight burned in his eyes. He didn't approve of wanderers in his bustling city. "What are your intentions here?"His emerald eyes hardened, slender arms crossing across his slim chest. This one had suave but he didn't care, this was his land - any that invaded it would be judged by him.

For all he knew this man had traveled here to kill him and take the advantagious position of being the cities top vampire.

Ananas à Pois 09-10-2009 03:20 PM

Cassius laughed, "YOUR land?" he asked with another laugh, "This is America, dear boy, you do not own it." he kept his smile as he addressed the question, "I don't believe my intentions are any of your concern. I suggest you go back to your buisness and leave me to mine." Cassius was trying to avoid a scene with humans so close, but if the boy wanted to 'tussel' Cass would be more than obliged. He found it humourous that the boy could be so naive as to think he actually owned a city. Back in Cassius' day, that would have been possible, but in modern America, it was downright hilarious.

Lady Luck Infinity 09-10-2009 07:14 PM

"Your presence here upset the balence of my subjects- I assure you that this is indeed my city and if you're going to be staying here for a few days you need to know the rules. "He snarled, growing angrier with every word the man spoke. They may be in the new world but owning a city wasn't as hard as some thought. Build a reputation on fear and benevolence in turn and the normal humans need not know of them.

"Just tell me how long you're going to stay and things won't get rough."He was growing impatient, flames licking his fingertips ever so slightly. A human gasp alerted him to this accident and he quickly dismissed them, eyes still hot with anger and emerald flames while he waited for the intruders answer. He erased the humans memory of the spectacular show in the meantime and got ready for a fight.

Ananas à Pois 09-10-2009 08:05 PM

Cassius was not intimidated by the child before him. And though he thought nothing of the boy he answered honestly in the same cool tones he had held the entire time, "I may be staying a few days, or a few weeks, I am not really sure how long to be exact. I tend to wander as I see fit." he smiled a little, showing he truely meant no harm, "If you're going to tell me the rules, just tell me, and I guess we'll see from there."

He thought it was entertaining how angered the boy was getting over this city, and the fact he thought he actually owned it. What could he have done other than scare people into believing he was a ruler, that he was to be feared and not defyed or they would otherwise feel his wrath... Nothing. And looking at him, he wasn't as impressive as he thought he was. He did not own the city, he merely thought he did. He may have control, but control could easily be taken away. No, he was not impressive in the least.

Lady Luck Infinity 09-10-2009 08:14 PM

"I guess we will."Rosello begrudgingly answered, the flames in his vibrant green eyes fading only a little. Such a wanderer could not be trusted and thus the boy was going to watch this one like a hawk.

As he started in on the rules he let the subtle spill of his powerful aura fill the space between them. His bloodline was a pure one and even at this young age he'd been able to wrest control of this small yet adequate city.

"Keep your kills clean is the first rule. That is if you must kill. Also the killing of innocents is prohibitd in this town. Criminals are fair game, just don't leave a sensational crime scene. "Chuckling the boy's manner eased up a bit.
"Torture and rape is frowned upon, as is revealing yourself as a vampire to humans you're not going to mark and keep as your own. On that matter any human bearing a vampires mark is off limits. Understand? And just for the common sense and the mindset of these people please alter the memory of those that aren't willing victims. I can give you a list of places such people gather if that is the kind of meal you desire."

Ananas à Pois 09-11-2009 01:44 AM

Cassius smiled again. This boy was not about to let up, and you could tell. He wasn't the type and it was obvious, he was going to be on Cass like the plague.

Cass noticed the vibes the other was putting out and could both appreciate them, and laugh at the effort at the same time. As the boy spoke, Cassius couldn't help the burst of laughter from spilling out when he had finished, "You're not very old, are you? These are basic rules for all sensible vampires." He laughed again, "You would have to be an imbacile not to follow them to begin with. I bet I'm even older than your bloodline. I created your rules. Now if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do than waste my time. I have an apartment to look at." he smiled, mischeif in his eyes.

Lady Luck Infinity 09-11-2009 02:45 AM

"I've lived in cities were the vampires were free to kill as these pleased- innocent or criminal. I don't care how old you are you'll still follow my rules."Hissing quietly in anger Rosello paled at the thought of him actually trying to live here. "If you intend on staying here you'll swear fealty to me. Then I can assign feeding territory to you."

Ananas à Pois 09-11-2009 11:21 PM

Cassius couldn't help but laughing again, "We'll see about your rules, and you can go to Hell on me swearing anything to you, other than at you." He glared, but smiled at the same time, well, half a smile. "Like I said, I have an appointment with a woman to look at an apartment. I guess I will be seeing you later." he laughed again, walking passed the boy.

Just then, a blonde human woman came down the sidewalk, "Cass, there you are! I've been waiting forever for you, I thought you weren't going to show." she smiled at him, then took his arm and leading him back the way she came. While walking, Cassius turned back to the boy with territory issues and smiled a smile full of implications, that could be taken however the boy wished.

Lady Luck Infinity 09-12-2009 12:30 AM

Growling angrily the boy was full of rage, stalking away without a word. he would pay, this man would pay for his insolence. Rosello would cut him off and bleed him dry even it it mean slashing his own feeding grounds to do so.

Getting a few streets away he slammed his fist into a wall, shrieking in rage. How dare he. This was his city and Cass would pay. The boy was very very dangerous when it came to rivals and it was time to investigate this lone male.

Ananas à Pois 09-12-2009 05:36 PM

As Cass walked, the woman began to talk, "I'm so happy you came to visit me finally! I thought I'd never see you again!" she laughed.

Cassius just smiled, "Why would you think that?"

"Well, since your brother vanished, I thought that you wouldn't want to see me... I thought you'd think it was my fault.." she said, looking at the side walk.

"I know it wasn't you. I'm not sure what happened yet, but I know it wasn't your fault." Ever since his brother had disappeared though, this woman, Diane, had been writing to Cassius, which Cass could never answer.

Soon, they reached an apartment building and entered, walking to the second floor. The entered the apartment. It was a nice little place, and Diane had an extra bedroom for Cass, if he agreed to stay with her. He wasn't lying to the boy about seeing an apartment, he just left out that it would be with a human woman. When Cassius was invited to sit at the table, he did so and asked, "You saw the boy I was talking with, correct? Who was he?"

Diane looked down a little, "I don't really know his name, I think it's Rosello, or something like that? But he pretty much rules the streets, him and his gang. They're not normal..." She said, putting the coffee on for herself. She knew Cass wouldn't have any, and didn't bother to offer, seeing as Cass and his brother never ate or drank with her.

Lady Luck Infinity 09-12-2009 08:21 PM

Returning home to the sanctuary he sought when things went rough Rosello made a few calls. Mostly to the other vampires in the area. He alerted thm to Cass's precence without slipping the detail that he wouldn't swear loyalty to the boy. Their orders were to watch him for signs of trouble and report infractions in the laws they saw committed.

Judge and jury was the boys job when it came to said infractions and if the target broke any of the major laws he'd very well ecome the exicutioner as well. The last call was made on a private cell phone to the only people he could draw inspiration and hope from.

The rulers of a city more than a few territories away expressed their heartfelt feelings and for the first time since he'd taken over this plot of teaming city life they used prsonal expirience to instruct him on dealing with powerful rivals. Rosello didn't want his dear friends to interfeare, his pride was too great. But never the less Monte and Jacob Henderson were making their own plans.

Ananas à Pois 09-12-2009 08:49 PM

When the coffee and light conversation was finished, Cassius and Diane sat looking at each other for a moment before Diane asked if he wanted to see the city. Cassius of course accepted the offer and the two set back out onto the streets. Rosello, assuming that really was his name, couldn't do much with Diane there. Even if he altered her memory, he must know Cassius could un-alterate. Diane was an angel, in more than one way. She was an unmarked human, as far as anyone could tell. She had no idea about vampires, even though she had been with Cassius' brother, who was a pureblooded vampire.

They wandered the streets, arm in arm, Diane pointint out the important sites and such. Whilest paying attention to Diane, Cass also looked for the boy and his... 'followers.'

Lady Luck Infinity 09-12-2009 08:58 PM

It was several hours later that he reccieved word that Cass was back out on the streets. And with a human to make matters worse. Was he going to mark her and use that leverage to stay in this city?

Rosey couldn't let that happen. Dressing casually in somhting less club wear and more street wear the boy hit the street, keeping his distance from them to merely watch and wait for the outcome of Cass's plans. he wasn't going to lose this city-not without a fight.

Ananas à Pois 09-12-2009 10:04 PM

As he listened to Diane speaking, again, he sensed the familiar presence he was looking for. He smiled slightly wider, having been smiling at Diane to begin with. Then, Diane suggested the two going to a cafe that was nearby, where they could sit and talk again. Diane told him it was a long time since she'd been there, since she never wanted to go alone. It was a small place where poetry readings and ametur kareoke was held, and it was always fun. Without hesitation, Cassius agreed and they walked there and down the stairs into the underground building. They sat at a table and to Diane's surprise, when the waitress asked what they were having, Cass ordered too.

She had never seen Cassius eat or drink before, so when the cappachino and bread came, she was surprised to see him actually enjoying it. Cassius laughed at her stare, "What? I'm not allowed to eat?" She laughed too, feeling silly, and they began to talk again, this time about what Cassius would do in the city. "I'm not sure," he began to confess, "I'm not sure how long I'll be staying. Should find a temporary job while I'm here anyway. Help you out and such." he smiled charmingly at her. She said then that he didn't have to, but Cass insisted anyway. Then Cassius added, "I wasn't planning on staying long anyway, but who knows. I may like it long enough to stay. For awhile, at least."

Lady Luck Infinity 09-13-2009 06:04 AM

They entered a cafe together and Rosey smiled. one of the other vampires in town worked here as a waiter. He could get the man to keep an eye on them and the young mastermind ruler of the territory didn't even have to lift a finger. Much less enter the place. It wasn't his style anyways.

Ananas à Pois 09-13-2009 04:18 PM

Again, they chatted awhile, over coffee and Cassius looked around the place, wondering if it would be possible for him to work there. It was underground, so he could even work there during the day if need be. He asked Diane if she wanted more coffee and she said no, but when he said maybe they could get it to go and get out of there, she laughed an agreed.

Cassius went up to the counter where a waiter stood, "Hey, can I have two to go- one coffee light with three sugars and a cappachino, light with two sugars." he smiled at the waiter, then picked up the vampire vibe. He had to be one of the boy's followers. 'This could be more fun that I thought.' Cassius smiled in his mind, "Also, would you happen to be hiring here? I'm looking around to see what I can find."

Lady Luck Infinity 09-13-2009 08:31 PM

The waiter smiled lightly, only showing off a little fang to Cass. "I'll ask the Boss- see if w hav any openings."He replied, the tones he used so not meaning the man that ran this joint but the boss of the city.

The boy waiting outside a few blocks away, monitering the vibe of this portion of town. And thinking about Cass. why the heck would a vampire as old as he felt be interested in a lame human job. Didn't he have funds hidden away somewhere that he could use to live in luxury?

But then again his follower worked so that line of thinking was a false one. maye he was just bored? Either way he waited, watching in the darkness for his prey to once more venture out into the street.

Ananas à Pois 09-13-2009 11:59 PM

Cassius laughed, "I'll wait here then. And for the coffee." he smiled, showing his fangs back as well. He stood at the counter as the waiter disappeared to do whatever he was going to. Definately one of the followers. If the boy thought he was going to stop Cass from doing anything in the city to drive him out, he was wrong.

The boy really didn't like intruders, and was indeed very territorial. A trait that in a young vampire was nothing more that a flaw, a fault.
