Bio: she was taken from her parents when she was young and raised to work for pirates even though she hates to.

Name: Soft Beard (True name is unknown)
Age: Age is land lubbers talk! (50+)
Appearance: Like this, except less wrinkly, his gun is bronze, not silver, his hair is lilac, he often smells of rotting meat and is very empathetic. :)
Pet: A huge white Persian cat by the name of Fluffy, with one eye. He lost his eye to a fishing incident in Norway.
Bio: Soft Beard grew up in a small, floating village and learned how to steer a ship at a young age by going pirating with his uncle. During one battle with a ship, Soft Beard was captured by the opposing pirates and sold to a cat breeder, he then met Fluffy, and saved up to afford a ship and hire crew.

Tarra ran around her knew home trying to get everything in order for her new captain. She muttered to herself as she carryed a barrel of water down to the cellar. She hated doing this more then anything else. She wasn't born to be a pirate but she was raised to be one and to work as one. She was now the only famale pirate on this ship and everyone knew that she could whip there butts in a fight.

Soft Beard strolled along the gravel road to Tarra's house, Fluffy walked with a precarious stride. Fluffy was not yet used to his peg-leg that had to be there due to an incident with a stray pony.

Soft Beard wondered if the cheese would keep down in the storage compartments, or if he should go pick up some for the journey before he went to greet Tarra.

Tarra saw a figure comeing towards her and sighed a little bit. maybe this captain would be better then her last one. Her home was a run down little place that her last captain had given to her while she waited to get hired again. Her last captain had to give her up since she scared half of his crew and she got along with no one. When her new captain got closer she smiled "so are you my new captain?" she asked as she looked athim with her blue eyes.

Soft Beard sensed a sad-ness as the young girl spoke to him, a tear ran down his cheeks and he broke down, sobbing and, between sobs managed a "Welcome to the crew, lass."

Noticing he was crying, he stood up, and brushed the invisible dirt off of his coat, took off his hat, and bowed. He then explained to her about the cheese problem...

Tarra was surprised that her new captain was crying. She just shrugged and smiled a fake smile of happyness. "well It would keep but only for a while so if we want cheese we will have to eat it quickly." she said as she looked at him. He seemed nice, better then some of her old captains. "and thanks for the welcome" she siad even though she really didn't mean it.

Soft Beard raised an eyebrow at the rudeness in her expressions, but quickly forgot about it at the mention of beloved cheese. Fluffy seemed to understand it too, as he mewed hungrily, reaching down to pet the fur ball, he spoke, "Arr, shall we head over to the local dairy shop, then?".

It was apparently not a question, though, as he walked down the walkway towards the marketplace.

Tarra followed him like a loyal dog. The look on her face told you that she wasn't to happy about following this man even though he looked nice. But a small smile was on her face for she loved cheese and she was glad that they where getting some.

Fluffy stopped in his tracks, Soft Beard did as well. A loud neighing sound came from an alley in front of them, Soft Beard pulled his gun, and quickly stuffed the bewildered kitty into his coat pocket, then aimed, and fired. A loud neigh of pain sounded as a pony limped from the alleyway, the gun fired once more and the pony lay silently on the ground. Soft Beard smiled a bit, then screamed, "Aye! That'll teach them land boats!" He cheerfully skipped towards the cheese shops, with Fluffy still in his coat pocket.

Tarra was surprised at how fast the captain took out his gun and fired. But she didn't like what he fired at. "why did you do that?" she asked as she looked at the dead pony and her voice held all the sadness in the world. She loved ponys dearly even though she never showed it. She wanted to run over to the pony and see if there was any way for her to help it but didn't, She didn't want to look weak infront of her captain.

A few tears ran down the captain's face as he turned to her, pulling out his fluffy Persian, he pointed at the cat's leg.

"Them land boats done do this to Fluffy!" He cried, "My cat won't never be treated this bad, you, hear me?!" as he talked, he sprayed bits of today's breakfast all over Tarra.

Sadness found its way onto Soft Beard's face, "Arr, I'm sorry, lass. I don't mean to scare you or nothin', but I just love me Fluffy." He burrowed his face into the hairy cat who now had a gleam of thoughtful-ness in his light blue eyes.

Tarra saw the leg and then looked at the captain. "well one of them might have done that to you but that dosen't mean the others will." she said as she whiped her face clean. THen smirked when he said about scareing her, hardly anything scared her. "and you didn't scare me nothing ever scares me." she said as she looked up at her captain.

Soft Beard smiled evilly, "Well, lass, we'll just see about that!"

Soft Beard stepped inside the cheese store and began to converse with the cashier.

"Ehmm, yes, that one, I want me a sample of that kind! No, the kind without the mold."

Soft Beard turned to Tarra, "What kind of cheese do you like the most? I'm going to get some for Scrappy and Tinker, so we can splurge a bit.".

Tarra smiled when they entered the cheese store, she loved cheese and was happy that the captain asked what she wanted. "I want some Oaxaca cheese." she said with a true smile on her face, not one of those fake ones. "who is scrappy and tinker?" she asked as she looked at the captain.

Soft Beard turned to the cashier, and began blurting out foreign cheeses, then, at the end, told him he wanted some of the cheese Tarra had asked for.

Soft Beard exited the store, and began to babble, "Well, lass. Scrappy and Tinker are some of me crew, you'll meet them later.".

Soft Beard and Tarra were nearly at the docks now, before walking onto the rickety wooden platform, a loud, shrill shriek filled the air. Soft Beard was un-phased.

Tarra didn't even bother with the platform. She just jumped over onto the boat like it was the easyest thing to do and to her it was. "I cant wait to met them" she said when she landed on the ship and looked around. The ship looked like it was in good shape and she instantly wanted to go and check out every thing on this ship.

A small monkey crawled toward Tarra, and squealed loudly.

"Aye, that be Tinker, Scrappy is in the ki'chen, go introduce yourself, lass."
Soft Beard paused, "Then I'll show you yer room."

Tarra smiled at the monkey and scratched its head. THen picked the monkey up and held him. He was so cute that she couldn't help herself. "okay" she said and headed to the kitchen with Tinker in her arms.

Soft Beard walked into the kitchen and began screaming, "SCRAAPPYYY!" Soft Beard waited for a reply before knocking on a cabin door next to the kitchen pots. Soft Beard put his ear to the door and nodded slightly, "Oh, I see, well, we have a new member of the crew." Soft Beard sighed and turned to Tarra, "His Scurvy is keepin' him in bed, I'll go show you yer room, lass.".

And with that, Soft Beard strode down the wooden hallway.

Tarra nodded and smiled when he said that he would show her to her room. She hoped that it would be better then her last room. "okay" she said and followed the captain and still had Tinker in her arms. She petted him as she followed and wouldn't let him go.
