Blog Folders/Paneling.

Blog Folders and Paneling I've noticed since I restablished myself onto Menewsha again that the Folder Panels have disappeared. And the folders along with them. The "Categories" by custom named by everyone on their Blog are now uncatergorized.

I would like to put a little bit of word into bringing back the Folders. My Blog has become a catastrophe by not being Categorized within individual folders. I hope they will come back, they really do mean a lot to keep things organized. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, I've only saw new threads concerning other matters.

Thread Reporting I haven't noticed any "Report Threads" button like there are reporting posts with the "!". I think it'd be faster and easier to deal with Threads with an individual button like there is for the posts. It will make it where there's less time to gather URLS or ALERT Administrators or Moderators attention to dealing with certain situations.

I wanted to get this out in the open too if there isn't this type of feature yet. (I thought it'd be a good idea) It'd take much more of a load off of Administrators and Moderators backs to go searching and hunting down threads that need to be: Locked, Moved, Recycled, etc.

Extra: Post BB Code FAQ! Since there's been a lot of improvements and features displayed on the posting models, I think there should be a FAQ on how to use each one of them. I KNOW there are the obvious easy ones that someone should know at least. THE NEW ONES like the Drop down box or the Comment box are the ones I don't know how to use quite frankly. I think it'd be easier on Newbies and some like me who don't know how to use them to have a FAQ or Instruction Guide on how to use them. If it is possible and the Staff would like to take some time to do it, I know I'd appreciate it. (:

Support Feedback Any supporters for the Folders to return for the Blog? Reassurance is gladly accepted if you feel the same way I do. Supporters for ~~thread reporting~~ and ~~BB code FAQ~~ are much obliged as well. <3 Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my thoughts + suggestions. I hope this helps organize the Blogs once again. :heart:

*P.s. : I've read a lot of drama in certain threads here, I really would like it if that didn't happen. I created this concerning organization and quick reports on threads if there isn't any like the posts. Everything is usually all one-sided most of the time, I understand that. when a user users the ! button it reports the whole thread. The specific post reported links to that post but also shows the whole thread. The staff goes through the thread, for the majority of the posts around the reported one, and deals with things. All you have to do in the delay box is describe what is wrong and we look at it. No need to report every post as we sit there and go through the thread.

Also, in a chat room we have there is a bot which shows us new threads. So chances are at least one person sees a thread that is like "Holy shit! *moves to trash and bans user*"
We try our hardest to keep users from having to see alot of stuff they shouldn't ever have to in the forum. But also doesnt mean we are always in the chat or even available.

Most threads that are locked are locked and we post why. Threads moved/recycled normally have a reason posted why is the last post. If needed.

The current report system we have is nice. However, when the site does become larger it is being looked at to upgrade this system. This way you dont have to waste some moderators time with something that can be handled by anyone else when there are certain things only certain staff can do. Though, we aren't at that point yet. ^^

By blog folders, do you mean blog categories?? where you can assign a blog post to a category you make? because im pretty sure no one has gone in and edited out blog features xD;

Also, is there any particular reason for the image of Emily Strange in your post? Because it looks a bit like flobbing to me, as you're asking questions, not setting up a thread. >_>;

@ Bartuc; Okay. I was going to use the report post more than usual but I thought it was strictly only for trouble makers and important troublesome things. Ah, well I never really knew how the whole site works for flamming and situations like that. xD Now, I* understand more.

I just always thought someone had to stay and do an overview over the threads and posts. Even though that sounds silly and if someone did do that, they'd be needing a merit for it. :yes: But thank you, Bartuc. I appreciate the info.

@ Tre le; Ohz. xD I thought it'd be within the "rules" or somewhere on the navigational system. I'll try to wander around Mene again to search for things like I used to. Sorry for the trouble of that. (* ' ')

Yeah the Blog folders. I tried to find the option to see if there was something messed up with it, but there isn't. (Unless I'm over looking it, but idk where to look) I went to other peoples Blogs and they don't have folders to categorize their entires anymore either. Unlesss it's just my account that it does that to??

When I go on blog settings there is one that says "blog categories" and gives me an option to make one, it doesn't look like it has any default type ones.

Yeah, there's the "Blog Categories" to make Categories but the FOLDERS that the Categories keep the blog posts separate from each other are gone/missing/taken away. xD

I mean, you can do the check mark box and tons of blog categories to put the Blog posts within the Categories you made but the FOLDERS aren't there at all. There used to be an extra Panel with all the different kinds of folders for the different titles/posts you made/created. The Calender has replaced it's place within "View your posts."

Oh, I thought they were the same thing, I haven't really done much with the blogs. :sweat:

Well they have everything to do with each other but they're not the same thing I'm talking about exactly. Lol You know IRL you put papers in a yellow regular folder you can buy at Staples? That's what I'm talking about only it's virtual folders holding virtual papers/pages.

XD Actually, I think Emily the Strange artwork is really snazzy, though I've no idea what the comics are like.

Wish I could help you with your question about the blogs, but I've never made a single post in my blog, so I can't compare. D:

Something happened to the blogs when Inso updated us several months back, and we switched to a newer version of vBulletin, they lost a lot of functionality then. Sadly something we just have to put up with until there's the time available to create a custom template for them.

Alrighty~ I appreciate the info, Jelly. <3 I just wanted to know if it was being fixed or just being taken away for good because the content is too much for the site. xD That and the Blogs look like a total complete Hurricane has torn in there leaving everything that doesn't go together, go together.

vBulletin brings out template updates and new versions all the time though, and they often change stuff or interfere with what's already in place, so who knows when the folders vanished? I don't use the blogs myself so I'm not a whole lot of help.

True. That's okay, the information about the Bulletins is enough alone. I just they return in the near future like the Fishing game and etc. ^^
