I don't know why people are embarassed about their middle name. Though I can understand if the person doesn't like their middle name and really doesn't want people to know what it is.

I don't mind my middle name and don't see my daughters as particualrly bad either.
My middle name is Grace My eldest daughter is Kayleigh My middle daughter is Louise My youngest Daughter is Mairi On the other hand my partner has a middle name that he hates "Rupert" He was named after both his grandfathers but luckily his first name is James, plain and simple but then they jus go and throw in Rupert, he hates it! |

My middle name is Kaye. My grandparents both have the same middle name, 'Kay', my Mom wanted to keep it in the family (with a different spelling, of course). And so, I'm Quincee Kaye :) . I would never change my middle name, I kinda like it.
I'm unsure why most people are embarrassed by middle names.. maybe its because you don't say them often, and so when you tell people it just seems weird. I dunno.:? |

But I don't think I'd like to change it. It's kinda fun, since it sounds so close to Rudolph. I would kinda like something with a lot of nickname options, though. Maybe Finley? Because I really like the name Finn. |

My middle name is Lee. It was my mom's middle name, and her mom's middle name, also. I will probably have to give it to my daughter, if I have any children in the future.. it's kind of an heirloom, that, and cancer. HAHA... yeah. =s
Anyway, no one else in the entire USA has my same exact name, so I kind of like it. I hate my first name, though. It was suppose to be Thursday, but at the spur of the moment, my dad had decided he didn't like it, and they decided to name me a fad name moments before my birth. My name now is Brittney Lee Oftedahl. There's only one other gal I can ever seem to find on the net with a similar name to mine, which is Brittany Oftedahl. :) |
Because lets face it if your parents get really ticked at you, what do they do? Use your full name. You know when you hear that middle one you're in trouble.

Is it considered weird if I don't have a middle name? D: My grandmother never had one either, so therefore, I was never given one after her.
So, since I don't have a middle name, I usually just use my confirmation name as it: Auraylea, which I picked out myself. :3 |
My middle name, Funos, translates roughly into 'Produced By' or 'Of' or even 'from', depending on who you ask for the translation. I've always translated it as 'of', though, because the others don't make sense in the context of my name. Veltrusen Funos Heterin roughly translates to: Child of Shadows, or Child Produced By Shadows, or even Child From Shadows, depending on who you ask. The latter two make less sense to me, so I don't use them.

My middle name is Nicole. I've never really been embarrassed by it, but I have wanted to change my first name ever since I've been able to write it. Originally, I wanted to be Crystal, then Ruby, then Amy and now I've settled on Anna. xD I think people are embarrassed by all of their names, really, because they didn't get to choose them. They're stuck. It's just much easier to hide your middle names than your others. ;] |
