So, I'm about to cut my hair from this...

What do you all think? (note:your opinion won't change my decision, since I'm doing it tomorrow)
Also, what are your plans for your next hairstyle or color?

I like both hairstyles.Not that it matters.
But I had long hair, then I was like "Fuck the high maintenance of it!" and then I shaved it.

It looks like it'd go well with your sense of style. You look like you could pull it off.
The problem with mohawks is that they're such high maintenance, though. They look terrible when you just let them lay flat, and spiking your hair up every day is a royal pain in the arse (especially when it's very long like that).

As for my hair, I'm currently growing it very long for the first time in years, because I have decided that I am a fairy princess. I'm also planning on getting it dyed silvery gray when it's past my elbows, which should only take a few more months.

I think it would suit you :3 But I like your current hairstyle too °xD

They're surprisingly low maintenance, Cherish, in comparison to the traditional mohawk. You can actually go without styling it, just as long as it's messy.

I've never actually seen one that long lay flat, I've only seen shorter mohawks when they're flat, and they just look like limp streaks.

PhantomLolita, I love the idea of what you're doing with your hair. One of my best friends got a duck-butt cut and dyed her entire head a tealish blue. I'm cutting mine in an extremely layered razorcut shag look, and once I save up the money I need, there are certain Manic Panic colors I want, and I'm going to place in rainbow streaks. Like legit rainbows, it's so cool! :]

Usually in deathhawks, only the literal sides of the hair are shaved, so there's more hair left in the strip up on top, verses the classic style where the width is only 1-2 inches. It can be worn in a fan like Phantom's sample pic, or just teased and left messy like this:

Ooh, I see! I guess in that case you could also leave it down with a center part too, if there's more hair.

It looks unpractical. I could just see hitting hair on high objects, get hair caught on objects and having to put strong hair gel on it frequently .
That said, if it's what you want, go for it.

I don't really have plans for my own hairstyle...I tend to go simple and practical. I often wear a single hair pin on top or a ponytail. I love the way long hair looks, though I cannot keep up with the long detangling sessions it requires.
So I will probably let my hair grow out as long as I can manage and then trim it again. Right now it's a bit past shoulder lenght and I like it.

I for serious can't decide which I like more.
The top one is more like something I would wear, but I really really like what your changing it too. And if you can actually pull it off I will be all the more impressed. You should post an after pic of how you look with the new do. :3

Also, I hope you keep the pretty purple color. For serious, its nice.

Wow, your hair is so awesome the way it is now but I definitely like the deathhawk better. It is so cool that you can do something crazy like that with your hair. I'm just a kid (freshman) so the best I can do is highlights and I'm more soft-spoken anyways so I couldn't really pull that off. Your tattoos are so win, I love the music notes :D

I dated a guy with a mohawk cut. He barely ever put it up though, so it was always draped over one side or the other of his head. :XD

Are you going to color it with Koolaid, or with more specific hair coloring agents?

I've got ridiculously long hair, which I keep for vanity's sake since I don't do anything with it. I was planning on taking a couple of sections to frame my face and feathering them, then lightening the hair just enough to take a good dark Teal color. It would only really show when my hair is down, or if I left the framing streaks out when I put my hair up... and would make my ponytail striped. ^_^

as for hairstyle im not to sure cause theres not much i can do cause my hair is so curly and thick Dx

Thanks for all the input everyone! It's now shaved and ready to go, but I haven't taken new pics yet. I'll update this thread with pics soon! When I have it down, I can mess with it and it will look exactly the same as it did before, so no worries on being too lazy to style it.

I'm not much for mohaws, probably because it looks stupid on me...

I have been thinking about bleaching my hair to almost white... and then do pink highlights.... but I am not sure yet if I really want to

I also want to comment that it's nice your parents/family/guardians allowed you to have this hairstyle...I know deep down even though I don't want the hair style, it makes me jealious when I see the freedom some have that I did not have.

From my background, I would not be allowed to do something unconventional like this.
Dying hair was considered to be angry at society or rebellious . It would have not been allowed.

SO. I totally love your current (or what would've been current when you posted this). Just thought I'd let you know. XD But I also really like the mohawk thing! I love when people are bold enough to actually go for it. C: I'd do it, but I don't have the time/effort to do my hair like that all the time. I'm a lazy bum. XDDD
