Higurashi no naku koro ni, anyone?
 

Probably the best anime I have ever seen, in my whole weeaboo life.
Good background music, awesome gore scenes, and suspenseful parts.
But ofcoarse thats for season 1. Season 1 has to be my favorite. :)

I like Shion, and mion. They're english voice is probably the most decent in the anime.

The opening to that show is amazing. The manga version was pretty good, but i only read a little bit of it.

I still cringe when I think of the scene where one of the twins (which one was it again @[email protected]) had to pull off her own finger nails. I mean the whole show throughly freaked me out, but that part was the worst.

The story itself was amazing, though confusing at first, and the characters all had spectacular back stories that really just changed my whole look on the girls. Rena's was especially sad.

its my fav anime too i just bought the box set and my fav charactor would have to b rena cuz she is awesome i like her axe its killer haha i want it.XD i love her little frase she always says" awww its so cute i wanna take it home with me" haha

i love this anime :3 have to say my favorite characters are Hanyuu, Rena, and Shion :heart:
on a side note. my favorite killing scene is when Satako got crucified by shion and was stabbed lots.

@Countess de monet: I still cringe whenever I think of that, too! It was, by far, the worst [read: cringe-worthy, can't-watch-oh-my-god] moment of the series. I seriously cannot watch it! Fingernails and eyes - I can't do it.

I think my favorite arc was.... shit, I can't remember the name. The one where Satoko's uncle came back. I wanna say Tatorigaroshi-hen, but I also think I'm wrong...

My favorite character would have to be Rena<3 I love her so much.

I have yet to finish the series but so far my favorite character is probably Rika she seems to have an interesting story that hasn't been told yet.

Higurashi is my favorite anime ever, although I didn't like the manga quite as much, probably because all the chapters were from different authors. My favorite character is the character who definitely the one who suffered the most, but looked most harmless, was Rika! I've only seen the Japanese version, is the dubbed good?

I kinda like the second season just because it explains a few things in the first. It's kinda hard for me to decide which character I like best I like them all lol although I think I favor Rena a little more.
I kinda accidentally ran into this show by finding some scenes of it on an amv series AMV Hell lol

I love this anime. It was really confusing at first but then I got used to the whole reincarnation thing. I love all the characters with they're very different lives and personalities. The thing that groups them together is the town. I don't know why but I really like Shion's character. She seems more mature than the other characters, even in the episode that she was psycho. XP I am part way through watching the sequal, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai. It explains a lot of what was happening in the first season and just pulls everything together. I absolutely love this series.

I love this anime soooooo much!!!!!!! It is one of my absolute favorites! My friends think I am crazy for liking this show since there is so much blood and violence but there really isn't that much to me, I still love all of the seasons though!
My favorite characters are all of them but mostly Rena,Rika,and Hanyuu. Bust most most most favorite is Rena!!
