Needing a Little help here...
 

So, it's been just over a year sinc my best friend of 8 years moved away. I haven't seen him since he moved, and I've talked to him a few times. The next time I see him will most likely be in March.

See the thing is, I've kind of gotten over it, because it made me extemely sad at first, so much so I nearly failed last year. But Every so often, especially when I listen to certain songs, my friends who have moved away and relative ho have died, they tend to pop into my head. And he is always popping into my head, and it does make me really sad. :( We were very close, like brother and sister. Actually he was probably closer to me than my actual brother. :sweat: And he still is.

I was wondering if you guys could offer any tips with dealing with the sadness and such. :/

You should try calling him and seeing how he's doing. Why not right? It sounds like you were close and I bet he'd love to hear from you. Either give him a call or write him an email? Just because someone moves away it doesn't mean that you have to kill the relationship.

I can't offer you any tips on how to console yourself but, I think you already know what you should to. I've always believed that sadness is a self-imposed emotion. You can't blame it on anything else other that yourself.

I always wrote letter to people when they moved away. Sure it wasn't the same as hanging out with them everyday, but there's nothing as exciting as opening that mail box and seeing their handwriting. It's a great way to keep up with each other. I suppose you could also go through emails, but I just think there's something special about a hand written letter.
