So um HI!
I suppose the only reason these things are here is to get people active, which is good. Mayhaps it's for meeting new friends and stuffs so I'll do the obligatory intro and be chipper and happy. Rue is the name and chance is my game, I'm a risk taker and I love to talk about the funny stuff that goes on in my life. I am from gaia, but after some fisking idiot haxed me I decided to stop using it as much and find something new. So here I am, at this pretty little place that reminds me an awful lot of gaia, before it sold out. I am nowhere near a noob, been at gaia for 5 years and though I don't know mene as well, I'm sure it works the same way. Of course I love manga and anime, I've been to a few cons and I'm a proud anime club patron. Aside from that I like to read anything, though mostly fairy and other fantasy books catch my eye. Umz, I feel as though I've been rambling so I'll stop now and see if anyone wants to talk to me. ^-^ |

I hope you enjoy it here, you could say it is somewhat like gaia, but we are not going to let it turn into gaia. We are a cosy community and we like it that way. I'm looking forward to seeing you round, and if you have any questions about menewsha, just ask. :) |

I certainly hope it doesn't end up like gaia, tragic thing it was when they started to advertise and allowed all that hacking and mules. Once I get used to Mene I'm sure you'll see lots of me, and thank you again for the offer, though I have a bit of a mentor already, Kaotic who showed me the light that was a mmorpg that didn't suck. |

Menewsha is very strict on spam and everything, and that won't change. New things have been brought in such as Mennies, and alot of people argued it was turning into Gaia, having a cash shop. But the staff here promise that they will keep it all under control and would never turn into Gaia. |
Excuse me Miss. Lullaby? What is apparent? Then Luna it is ^-^ I do still use gaia, but it's strictly to keep in contact with my old friends. Hopefully I'll make plenty of friends here, and maybe convince my old friends to join as well. |
That's a good idea. I went on gaia a while ago, but never stuck with it. It was too confusing for me then, and now I've found Mene, I think it's much better.

Gaia can be confusing, and with all their new updates and beta testing it's a mess. Basic gaia was better, but some of the updates make things easier. Mene is pretty easy to follow, it's just a little tricky to understand it all. |
I disagree! I've been on Gaia since January 05, and I found that old Gaia, yes was better, but the only thing I'd ever change is the Evolving Items replacing the Monthly Collectibles. The advertising is a minor annoyance, and can easily be ignored.

Menewsha is like Gaia in the way that they're both avatar-based forum communities, but I find Menewsha to be a lot nicer and tighter-knit. n_n For example, I don't believe we've ever had a hacking or scamming case thus far, if I'm not mistaken. o: Anyway, I'm sure you'll find your way around the site just fine! The people here are generally nice, so if you've got any questions you can probably just ask anyone. c: If you care for a more official opinion, any of the mods are happy to help, really! Don't forget to read the rules and such, though, because Menewsha does have different rules than Gaia. o: And uwah, I'm sorry you got hacked! I got scammed on there earlier this year, so I know how that feels. I stopped being active before that, though, so it wasn't really a big deal for me... xD Ah well, don't forget that there's always karma~ o: |
I agree wholeheartedly about the gaia selling out thing,
this place looks almost exactly like gaia in '04. And I love it. I think I might stay here. I make a kickass avi art. ;) |
