Recomendations?

Anyone have good recommendations of Tragedy, Romance, or anything in between to read?

Hana Yori Dango (aka, Boys over Flowers). Its a really good romantic drama. Once you read the manga you should watch the Korean drama XD It's so good!

There's a great manga that I recently started reading.
It's called Doll Star. I love it.
Maybe you should check it out and just skim through it to see if you like it.
I think it's worth at least that ♥ It's not very long either, since it's fairly new.

Hmm, for romance I'd say the Devil does exist, and a bit of tragedy/romance I hear full moon is good, but I also like sand chronicles. I also think Please save my earth is an awesome manga too. Absolute boyfriend is okayish, but it's got pretty art and is romantically tragic. I personally love kitchen princess too, it's got tragedy and romance...T_T I was so sad.. but it's pretty good*nods* and it has recipes at the end of the book!

Socrates is a really really sad but romantic book. It'll really make you cry. It's only one volume so it's a quick read T_T but so sad..

Fruits Basket is the best manga off all time. I just LOVE the romance in it. It's so cute and gradual and so believable. Highly recommend it.

Fushigi Yugi or Fruits Basket =3 those are my two favs. in the romance department  also both can be tragic. especially fushigi yugi. It's my all time favorite manga

Haha. I remember Fushigi Yugi. Never read the manga, but I watched the entire anime and the three OAV's. I though it was good, but it gets a bit annoying at parts with the "Miaka!" "Tamahome!!" "Miaka!!!" "Tamahome!!!!"

Well, for a shorter Tragic Romance, try Mucha Kucha Daisuke or Ai-Ren. If you are looking for something a little more grown up- try Eternal Sabbath, Please Save my Earth, MARS or Tramps Like Us (Also called Kimi wa Petto). The last four I recommend are more grown up and deal with much more adult theme. Of those four, Tramps Like Us has the most good humor. MARS and Eternal Sabbath are more drama/romance than tragic romance, though there are tragedy elements to both.

You can also go with some classics by Adachi like Miyuki, Sunlight all Around or Slow Step. Aachi is about as classic romance/drama/coming of age manga you can get.

If you want something a slightly out of the main stream- try Video Girl Ai, Kimegura Orange Road, KamiChu (not really romance per say, but quite fun), Escaflowne (the manga is VERY different from the series), and if you don't mind soft yaoi (boy x boy romance) Animal X or Yateraneeze!.

I have tons of recommendations I could make for one shots, but these are the ones that pop to mind first.

I'd say Fruits Basket. It has an equal balance of romance and tragedy in my opinion.

I'd say Full Moon wo Sagashite and Ayashi no Ceres. They both have an equal balance between action and romance. Plus they are good and some of my favs XD

I suggest Romeo x Juliet its a new spin on an old classic

Set in futuristic aerial city Neo Verona, this anime series updates Shakespeare's classic tale, with the despotic Montague family ruling by oppression. The last descendent of the Capulets, Juliet falls for the dictator's son, Romeo. But their love will be tested as she disguises herself as a masked champion of the people, the Crimson Whirlwind, and sets about righting the wrongs the Montagues have inflicted on the citizens of Neo Verona.

Fruits Basket is a little bit of everything. Even though it says romance on the cover it is also a comedy, drama with a bit of martial arts action.

Ranma 1/2 is a comedy/ action manga. It's a boy turns girl type of a story with lots of matial arts and hilarious story line insue.

Oh My Goddess is another very good story. It too is a little bit of everything though it is mostly a romance. It is also printed as AH! My Goddess in newer volumes.

I haven't read it in a while but I suggest Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play OR Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden(MY personal favorite of the two). It has both romance and tragedy and it is pretty good. I liked the characters and it kept my attention long enough for me to finish the whole book as soon as I got it rather than reading parts of it at a time. Miaka is the main character in Mysterious play and Taki is the main character in Genbu Kaiden.
