So did anybody see the trailer during the Super Bowl last Sunday?
I missed it because my power went out half way through. D: New scenes and such. Saw it online. Made me smile~ |
Pirate elf! I like this!
"What do your elf eyes see lad?" "THE KRAKEN!" |
What, what? New trailer?(!) I must post eet!
---------- Meh. Not much new. T_T |
There's a little bit new stuff, but not a lot I know.
But every little thing I can see of the movie before it comes out makes my eyes twinkle. |
Indeedy. :)
Looks like Captain Jack and Penelope are going to get it on with the romance a little more than I had been expecting. I hope they don't make him too sappy. >.> That just wouldn't do. |
There always has to be some kind of romance in every movie. Sure Captain Jack was all nice and friendly to Elizabeth, but not so much as what the new movie is implying.
|
The old movies got the romance over with by using Will and Elizabeth. I always thought they were kind of annoying, though. As long as they don't turn Jack and Penelope into another Will and Elizabeth, it'll be fine.
|
The movie can have romance with other characters...Just exclude Jack.
|
Or at least make him stay the old salty dog of a player that we love him as.
|
And she has to slap him in the face at least once. XD
|
Whether he deserved it or not~
|
So true. I almost want to go watch the first PoTC right now just to see that scene. :3
|
Of course, that is quite possibly the best joke in the series. (possibly)
|
I really wish the jar of dirt was a lasting joke. It was so funny.
[Fact: I have an actual jar of dirt. <w<] |
One must not forget the peanut joke. Kekeke. =3
"MY PEANUT!!!" ------ As to the jar of dirt joke...it's a myth where I live that an old indian cursed us white men to have to take a jar of dirt with us whenever we leave our town, or we're forever cursed to return no matter how hard we try to stay away. I've yet to test this phenomenon. |
I loved that.
I think my all time favorite quote from all the movies is "NOBODY MOVE!....I dropped my brain...." I lol'd so hard at that. I still do. |
Lol. And the whole burning rum scene from the first movie.
Elizabeth: "That smoke is over a mile high...the entire British navy is out looking for me, do you seriously think that they won't see that?" Jack: "Yes...but why is the rum gone?" Then the whole... "Elizabeth...nice to see you...hide the rum!" Captain Teague makes me smile every time I see him in the third movie, too. Doesn't matter that he doesn't have any hilariously funny lines. :) |
Aw, the rum jokes. All part of a pirates life.
Teague is awesome. He reminds me of Captain Hook~ I want to know more about his mom and how she became a shrunken head... |
Lol. I'd forgotten about that. She probably tried to make ole Cap'n Teague take a bath. XP
|
Or didn't follow the code.
|
Lol. Or followed it. XD
For once. |
There are so many things in the pirate universe that need to be explained.
Sure the books explained Jacks hat, but I would like to see it on the big screen. D: I wonder if Calypso is going to make another appearance or at least be mentioned... |
If they're going to put that stuff on the big screen it's going to be in the very last movie. They have to do something to keep us coming back in such hoards.
I was so tweaked off when Calypso turned out to be a crazy control freak of a goddess. She was such an awesome character...then I ended up hating her more than Davy Jones. Hell, I even shed a tear for old Davy when I found out what she'd done to him. |
Good point.
I didn't like how she was Calypso. I mean, make her a shape shifter but not 50 feet tall who yells in a foreign tongue and becoming many crabs. That was just lame. .__. |
I know. If there was ever a wtf moment, it was that. She couldn't have at least turned into a 50 foot woman made out of sea water? Now that would have been sick.
