Hey welcome. I'm new myself, I just started yesterday :) Welcome to the site. It's a pleasant little place, everyone here is nice from my experience so far. It's just quieter than some chat sites I've been on, but I'd take the lull over the jerkwads any day :D

Haha. I haven't been on Gaia today, but I'll get back on there eventually. There are people I only know on there and I'm a member of a thread concerning a book I'm a dork over (one of the few places I go on Gaia anymore). But this peaceful atmosphere here is certainly nice.

yeah i was just tired of all the self centered people who hated noobs.... why couldn't they just say: welcome to gaia ^_^??????

because there are jerk wads who take pleasure in being trolls. Unfortunately that all started happening when the site got big and popular (I joined it back in 2003, so I remember what it used to be like - a nice place, like this site is now).

People seem to think they can act like a douche online and it doesn't matter

yeah i know, its really hard be a newbie on gaia, are really boring. because the people dont wanna talk to u sometimes.....

depends on where you wander in Gaia. I don't think the newbie forum is very good on there, but ya. It certainly has its issues, which doesn't really make it open and friendly for new people.
