Before Ai could pull back from his failed kick Akuma lashed out and clipped the side of Ai's head, sending him back a few feet. Of course that meant that Akuma hadn't noticed the trap Ai had set below him, so when Akuma landed he was instantly caught in a web of dark purple enrgy, "Tch. That's cheating!" He called out. Ai smirked, "No, it's called improvising." 'Well two can play at that game.' Akuma muttered under his breath and Ai had to jump almost instantly as a chasm opened up under him, "Right, I said incapacitate, not kill!" Aoi shouted. Akuma and Ai both grinned sheepishly back at her. Ai let the energy field drop, "Eh-heh." they both quickly apologized before going back to hand to hand combat.

Tabitha blushed and ducked her head, "so, i know who your rooting for too!" she giggled and watched the fight with interest, "This reminds me of when i lived with a coven of vampires, we all had to be strong so we had daily practices only they were much more violent, and many vampires got killed" she stopped talking and shook her head as if to clear the memory.

Finally they were done with their spar. Ai plopped onto the floor, sitting cross legged and looking towards Aoi, "How was it?" Aoi blinked her eyes, "Your reactions are all off by a few nanoseconds. Work on your reflexes." Then she turned to Akuma, "You, mister, are too rash. Think before you attack if you have the time, if not then you'll be fine." Ai chuckled and closed his eyes as he felt the wind breeze through his hair. Aoi landed next to him and ran her hands over his arms and face, healing the cuts and scrapes he had attained. When she was done, she moved onto Akuma, who's injuries were on his legs and back.

Tabitha snapped out of her trip down memory lane and watched as the fight ended, "Well..." she sighed, "that was fast" she watched as the teacher healed Akuma and Ai, she looked at Kari, "do you think they will be mad we were watching them"

As Tabitha spoke she shrugged, laughing softly and raising an eyebrow “I honestly don’t care if they are, they’ll get over it.” She then squeezed Tabitha’s shoulder in gentle gesture, before bouncing over to Ai. “Quite a hands on teacher.” She teased lightly as she hugged Ai’s shoulders, grinning to herself. Kari had thought she’d noticed something between Aoi and them… |
Tabitha smiled and timidly wandered out from their hiding spot and over to Akuma, "Nice fight" she said quietly and sat down next to him.

Ai sighed, "of course you followed us." He quirked an eyebrow, "Aoi? Yea I guess. She's efficient at healing. Professional healer actually, she just doesn't use magic much so no one notices." He fell onto his back after tugging Kari's arms off of him, "Of course, she just happened to be using her magic when I walked by, impossible to miss that bright gold flare you know?"
Aoi walked over to Kari and Ai, seating herself on Ai's other side, "I wasn't expecting a student to be around so early. Especially not a clan member." Akuma glanced at Tabitha, falling onto his back, "Thanks." he replied, a bright grin flashing across his face, "Though he did get me in the end. It's like he has the whole fight planned out beforehand, like he knows what I'm going to do next. I bet if he worked on his stamina and reflexes he'd be able to walk away practically unscathed." |
Well, you didn’t tell me not to.” Was Kari’s cheeky reply. She then sat on the grass next to him, reaching over to ruffle his hair. She then glanced towards Aoi, recognizing the clan word…it was starting to annoy her. She shrugged it off, however, and winked at Tabitha as if to say ‘blame me!’ She was tempted to lay over his chest just to be a bother but decided to be nice… |
Tabitha smiled at him and poked him in the tummy giggling, "it still was very entertaining to watch" she smirked, "nothing like the fights ive been in" she looked at him her red eyes flashed and then she turned look at kari and ai, she saw the wink and she mouthed, he didnt say anything about following them...yet

Ai recognized the flash of annoyance on her face, "If you have a question, just ask. Hiding it won't get it answered." He turned his head skyward, his eyes trailing wispy clouds through the sky.
Akuma watched as she mouthed to Kari, "I wasn't even gonna bring that up, if you want to know. And, I don't even want to know about fights you've been in, I've been in some gruesome ones in the clan wars, don't need more fighting." Akuma accidentally let slip, his eyes widened and he slapped his hand over his mouth a tad late. |
Tabitha looked back at him and stuck out her bottom lip, "i survived" she said and then looked up, "and ive been in gruesome fights....not fun" then her eyes flashed, "in the what?" she asked when he covered his mouth.

Akuma grinned, "Nothing. I said nothing. Why don't you go check on Ai for me? I don't feel like moving."

Tabitha stuck out her bottom lip even more and pouted and then she stood up, "Alright" she said and wandered over to Ai and Kari, "Ive been sent over here to check on you" she said to Ai

“Because you answer so many questions when the Clan word comes up.” Kari said with a laugh, folding her arms over his chest and laying her chin on her arms. She relaxed slightly, closing her eyes as she decided to lay where she wanted to… he could move her if he was so determined. Yawning Kari relaxed, listening to the others talk. All this secretive nonsense annoyed her but what was she supposed to do? She looked up as Tabitha spoke, waving to her. "He's a good pillow.... so I think he's okay." Kari said ith a shrug. |
Tabitha smiled at Kari, "Alright, ill tell akuma that" she turned and walked back over to Akuma and sat down, "Kari says hes a comfy pillow and that hes okay" she giggled and then looked at him and rolled her eyes, "and im not getting up again"

Akuma laughed, "You were supposed to stay with them so i could sneak away!"
"Ah, so that's it..." Ai pondered his answer for a moment, while Kari made herself comfortable on his chest, "Well, I take it you know the basic definition of what a clan is right?" |
Tabitha stuck out her bottom lip again, "you know all you had to say was you wanted to leave, i wouldnt have cared.....much" she said and stared at him.
