Looking for comments on my newly finished piece

Hello there everyone  I just finished a new drawing, and I'd like to have some comments on it. Would you kindly take a look, and tell me what you think?

I'm interested in what I can improve on, but also what you like about it! I particularly appreciate comments on the costume/design of the character - I'm looking to become a character designer, and so I'm trying to flex my creativity and originality muscles :) Thanks!

I love the character design! The helmet piece is nicely done.
With the hand that is closed, or even the one that is open, I feel like there could have been a weapon of some sort added in there. Maybe an axe or a hammer? Something detailed and has some of the same elements as the outfit.

@ wish04 - Yeah, I'm never good with hands! I should spend some time looking at weapons - thanks =3

@ Aoi Midori - thanks, the helmet is my favorite

Wow! I love the design, you don't usually see characters running around like this guy. If your just starting to flex your creative muscles I'd really like to see what you'd be doing fully flexing em. Only advice I have to give on designing characters is to make sure to do the whole body while your designing. Its best to figure out the whole costume in one go then to have to go back and finish the missing half later when the idea is no longer rip in your mind and you need to do a full body image.

OMG I agree entirely. I have doesn't-draw-feets-itis, I can never plan the drawing properly enough to get the entire figure fit in...

But thank you as well! I really had fun with this guy ^^
