"Just us.." She smiled up to him sweetly. She was beginning to like it when it was just them.
Her arms tightened around him a bit more, and she let out a sigh of content. "I like it when it's just us, now." It would be so hard to tell that they weren't really even speaking a few days ago. Now they were practically attached at the lips.

((Alright, just editing this post))

Ana woke that evening feeling oddly rested and ravenous at the same time. She didn't hear anything from the room next to hers as she got up and dressed properly, and she figured out why as she walked past her fledgelings' rooms. Grinning to herself, she made a run down to the kitchens and grabbed something for both herself, and for them. She figured that they'd want it if they were hungry, and could save it if they weren't.

Knocking on Allen's door, she called to them.

"Asta? Allen? I brought you some breakfast, if you're feeling up to it."

Allen looked up at the door, and then back to Asta.

"Seems like we don't have to go find our own breakfast after all," he said softly to her. "Now if only the stuff around here didn't taste like it came from a bar..."

Scotch 01-20-2010 01:24 AM

Asta only pretended to find what he said funny. She didn't mind the bad taste in the blood, it wasn't coming from a living breathing, physically in-front-of-her- person, and automatically, that made things horrible for her. Yes, she had to admit that sometimes.. she would splurge on a human. Really, it wasn't so hard. All she had to do was look cute, and act cute, and then she was fed, essentially.

Sitting up, she smiled. "Thank you, Ana!" she called out to her. Ana was such a lifesaver most days..
Without though, Asta slid from beneath Allen, and headed to the door, gung-ho for breakfast. Opening the door, Asta smiled to see Ana before her, looking all proper and clean. Asta couldn't help but to turn a bit pink on the inside. She knew that she and Allen probably looked a mess, which couldn't be good on either part.
"That was very nice of you. I just wish I looked more presentable."

Mageling 01-20-2010 10:23 PM

"It's force of habit," Ana replied as she handed Asta their breakfast. "Used to be that nobody would ever leave their bedrooms without being properly dressed. I don't know what's wrong with people this decade, going out in public in sweatpants and too-small shirts..." She rolled her eyes, and then laughed lightly as Allen made a face at the taste of the blood.

"Ugh, this stuff tastes like a bad hangover," he said. Taking another sip, he grinned. "And yet I still drink it."

"It's because people in France drink wine," Ana said. "You're used to American caffiene-addicts."

Scotch 02-11-2010 04:35 PM

Of course they still drank it, they had no choice these days. It was whatever they could get that they took and 'ate', and that wasn't going to change for Asta without a cure.
"It does taste odd, but I don't really mind." Blood was blood either way, and it kept her alive.

Taking her meal back to the bed with her, Asta plopped down, and then relaxed back. "Yes, pajamas have become quite the attire for most places these days. I tend to wear them when I get lazy.. which.. is a lot, but.." She was in an incredible mood now, especially that she was being fed, and now she had Allen by her side, which made everything ten times better.

Mageling 02-11-2010 06:31 PM

Ana shrugged.

"It's no big deal. Fashions always change, and we get to watch and have fun," she said. "Let me know how much longer you both want to stay in Paris, alright? The masquerade is over, so now it's just a vacation."

"That was it?" Allen asked. "I thought parties like that were supposed to last days." It surprised him that everything was over so soon, but he was actually relieved. It meant he wouldn't have to dress up again. It made him feel like a fop, and he rather liked his denim jeans and cotton shirts.

"They used to," Ana replied, "but times have changed. Everyone has better things to do than party for a week, now that we're in the age of technology."

Scotch 10-23-2010 12:27 AM

The journey back to America had been more time-consuming, and difficult than Asta had originally remembered. Packing was a pain, and the blood was sour, Asta's neck hurt, for some reason. By the time they'd gotten to where she was needing to go, which was her apartment, she was half-starved, and was about ready for sleep. She was becoming unusually tired these days. Hm.

Stepping out of the limousine, Asta stood on her very tippest toes and stretched her body upward, her ankles cracking loudly. Before she was changed, her joints never seemed to be so loud.. but now they were extremely audible. Another odd happening.
Turning to look behind herself, Asta smiled. Allen was getting out of that limo, and whether or not he was going to be staying with her.. she would be seeing him again. For her though, it was just so hard to believe that things were going back to the way that they should be. And not even the way they should be, but more appropriately, the way that she wanted them to be. Finally, she had a reason to be excited again, and it was definitely a nice, refreshing feeling.

(I know it's a bit short, but I don't wanna pull out Allen or Ana.)

Mageling 10-23-2010 12:52 AM

Allen stretched as he got out of the limo and took a deep, albeit unnecessary, breath. It was good to be home, where dinner didn't taste like a bad night barhopping and he knew the rules for finding a meal. Going to the back of the limo, he hauled the suitcases out. It wasn't as if they were heavy or anything, but he'd had at least a few manners drilled into him in France, so he may as well get the bags for the two girls.

Ana got out of the limo last. She was a little disappointed to have left the old country again, but it was for the best. She had two fledglings to look after, and really, she was always American at heart. She took her suitcase from Allen.

"I don't know about the two of you," she said, turning to the two 'younglings', "but I'm going to go out for a 'bite' once I put my things in my apartment. You're welcome to come with me, or find your own, I leave it up to you both."

Allen glanced at Asta.

"It's up to you," he said. "I wouldn't mind finding something."

Scotch 10-23-2010 01:11 AM

As soon as she heard the word 'bite', Asta seemed to pay more attention to the situation. Blood that did not practically reek with liquor was definitely more her style, even though she did have that one incident, alcohol was off of the menu.

Stepping to Allen, Asta smiled pleasantly, picking up her things, and carting them up to the stoop. "Well," she said as she began to dig for her keys. "In all honesty, I could do with a quick meal."
Now that she'd been getting into the groove of her new lifestyle, things such as 'eating', feeding, it wasn't so bad anymore. Now that she knew how to control herself, she could feed, and leave, go as she pleased. She'd gotten to the point of knowing not to breathe when she smelled that one person who was absolutely orgasmic.. So far, she'd been very successful.
"Let me just take my things in, and I'll be right out, and then we can go," she said. "Allen," she added, "are you sleeping over? Or?"

Mageling 10-23-2010 01:23 AM

"Do you want me to?" Allen asked as he slung his bag over his shoulder. He vaguely noticed Ana going into the building. He wasn't worried about hunting on his own, he'd done so before. Granted, he'd still go up in smoke if he got caught out after dawn, but he was usually pretty careful about that. "I mean, I'd love to stay, as long as you want me to."

"I'm heading out, you two," Ana's voice said from behind him. He jumped a bit. When had she gotten back?

"Fine," he said, turning around. He saw the red creeping into the irises of her eyes, and decided not to distract her any longer. "We can take care of ourselves, go on."

Scotch 10-23-2010 01:41 AM

Of course she wanted him to. Now that she was done being stubborn, Asta was ready to begin her new life. Alright, so she was still a little uncomfortable with the vampire thing, but over all, everyday she was dealing with it better, and learning something new. She always had as much time as she needed to do something, now knowing that she had literally all the time that she would ever need, granted she wasn't on a deadline, of course.
"Why would you even ask me that? Of course I do." But her attention was drawn to Ana as she said she was leaving. Literally, within only a matter of seconds, she was back, and saying that she was moving along.
"Alright, Ana. We'll see you later. Thank you for everything!"

Asta had begun to notice one very vital thing.. If it weren't for Ana, and her persistent antics, Asta and Allen would still be on their separate paths, and if it was one thing that Asta knew, it was the face that the whole 'Hey, I'm better off alone' thing was a lie, or at least for her it was.

Smiling a bit, Asta headed into her apartment, suitcase in hand, and placed it on the tile floors. Now that Asta had an infinite life-span, she did indeed get a job, and found easier ways to get money, too. She had a good savings account, and she'd been using leftover funds (that would have otherwise been used for food intake) to fix up her wardrobe, and apartment.

"I'm ready when you are!" she called from her kitchen.

Mageling 10-23-2010 02:00 AM

As soon as she'd let her fledglings know she was leaving, Ana was gone. She vanished into the dark city streets, melting into the shadows. To be honest, she was kind of missing the taste of a home-born American. Tapping the French had been exotic, and a bit nostalgic, but she was missing the taste she was 'raised' with. Once or twice, she came across the scent of one of her own kind, but the scents were never fresh enough to worry her.

Allen nodded to Asta.

"Ready when you are," he replied. He checked his pockets out of habit, making sure he had his keys and his wallet. Never leave home without them, after all. Grinning, he gave Asta a kiss when she came out of her apartment. "Come on, there's got to be some good hunting since we've been gone for a while."

Scotch 10-23-2010 02:27 AM

If it was one thing that Asta had always seemed to take note of, it was the fact that no matter how much she hunted, or she and Ana hunted, no one seemed to take too much notice. Of course, Asta was very careful of who she went after, and where she bit them (some places supposedly scarred less than others), no one took note. She knew that that most certainly could not be true, but never had she been approached by someone who claimed to be bitten, or by someone accusing her of the job. Maybe her antics of creeping up from behind were well-thought.

Stepping next to Allen once out of the apartment, Asta gladly took his hand, and smiled up to him. "So where to?" she asked. "Are we going for bums, the upper-middle class? What?" She seemed to talk of it so much more lightly now, and that was definitely good in comparison to how she acted before. Now she understood that she, Allen, and Ana were not monsters.. just.. different. Unique.

Mageling 10-23-2010 02:35 AM

Allen grinned.

"Maybe there's a Halloween party somewhere we can crash," he joked. It was getting later in the fall, so there was always a party somewhere. "Or a rave or something, but I never liked the taste of all the druggies." He took her hand, and they walked. "We can go wherever you like. Was there anywhere in particular you wanted to go?"

Scotch 10-23-2010 02:45 AM

Drugs in the bloodstream messed with Asta's brain, and her nerves. She remembered once when she'd ended up preying on a man who she'd found passed out in an alleyway. She knew there was something wrong with him, something much more than just alcoholic addiction, and common sense told her to pass on... but she was desperate, and in that moment of weakness, she discovered that cocaine was a hell of a drug.

As the pair walked, Asta swung their hands nonchalantly, almost as if this small gesture that was new to her once more, were something she'd never been without. "No raves, no drugs." But there was always the one really awkward kid or so at a party who just.. stood. Wouldn't drink, wouldn't do much but stand, and though the odds were slim, she was almost willing to try that one out. "We can go to a club, maybe a party. I could probably pick up someone at a bar, but I prefer the unimpaired. Annnnnnd if we go anywhere public, I'll have to change. Gotta lure them in somehow!" She threw a stay wink at Allen, then rested her head against his arm sweetly.

Mageling 10-23-2010 02:59 AM

"I think you're beautiful no matter what," Allen said, "but if you think you have to, I can wait for you. I figure either the clubs, or the upper-middle neighborhoods." He shrugged. "Something to tide us over for a while, then we can go back to your place and settle in for the day." He grinned. "Maybe see if there are any good shows on TV that are in a language we can understand."

Scotch 10-23-2010 03:22 AM

She giggled at his television comment. She didn't seem to watch much television these days, maybe because she always felt the need to become more physically active, and she did indeed need to be in order to eat, and live. But just vegging out with Allen sounded nice, and without much other hesitation, Asta left him, running off for her apartment. The first thing she did was strip, changing into something more club-appropriate, picking out low-rising jeans, and a slinky looking, ripped up, blank and dark blue tank top. The blue in the tank top made her eyes pop, which she liked, and to further accent that, Asta put on black eyeliner, and an electric blue eyeshadow. Her slightly curled hair went well with the look, and within less than a minute, she was back by Allen's side, fully equipped with a pair of black, leather pumps.

"How do I look?" she asked. She looked quite.. nice wasn't the word. She looked good, but it wasn't her taste. She never wore this amount of makeup on a normal day, in the normal life she lived.

"Now here's what we're gonna do, or at least I am. Wait... do you care if you get a guy?" Now there was an issue. Asta never fed from women... it made her feel like.. a lesbian. And she didn't like that feeling. "Because I can easily get you a man."

Mageling 10-23-2010 03:29 AM

Allen blinked when she got back.

"Wow," he said. She looked amazing, even though she seemed a little uncomfortable in the outfit. It made him feel a little under-dressed, not that he usually cared what he went out hunting in. Now that he was a bit cleaner in his taps, he didn't ruin nearly as many shirts. He shook his head at her question.

"Doesn't matter to me," he said. "Blood is blood. I mean, if I was able to choose, I'd choose a girl, but I'm not all that picky."

Scotch 10-23-2010 03:40 AM

Tossing her hair over her shoulder, she pursed her lips. That certainly made things easier, she would do her best though, to see if she could find some woman somewhere who seemed unattended. It wasn't that she had little faith in Allen, no, she knew he was a good looking man. But in clubs like this (and she'd been to a few before, already having one in mind) most of the men were either Hispanic, or looked very metro-sexual, and she supposed that was just what was on the popular side. Not that being of any race could be popular... could it?
She shrugged mentally.

"Shall we go then?" she asked, putting an arm out for him to take, a smile creeping up on her face.

Mageling 10-23-2010 03:53 AM

Allen took her arm.

"Let's go, then," he said. He was looking forward to a fairly quick meal and then being able to spend the rest of the time with Asta. The trip to France had been really good for them, and now he was just praying that he didn't mess anything up again. He cared about her far too much to do that.

Scotch 10-23-2010 04:04 AM

Asta, on the other hand, seemed less tense on the situation. She knew now what she should and should not do. See, she'd spent quite a bit of time thinking heavily about this, after their initial getting 'back together'. Being too critical of him would mess things up, she'd have to not be so damn uptight... in short, Asta knew that she needed to change what she was doing, or she may destroy things beyond repair. She didn't want to do that.

With the pace they traveled, it took a relatively low amount of time to get to the club she'd had in mind, Club Diablo. Hah, even the name seemed to scream for any ethnicity other than.. well, 'normal'. Asta didn't like normal anyway.
As her hand was stamped, she entered, and without Allen, she began on the hunt. First, she scanned the bar for men who were alone, sitting alone, standing alone. Then, she looked at the small groups that were hunting for women. In one of the groups there was a man who looked, and smelled unlike the others.. a vampire. She couldn't help but to laugh at that one. As she passed though, she saw it. Her victim.
He was tall, dressed in a black dress-shirt and jeans, with jet black hair to match. He was tan, and lean, almost muscular to the appearance. From what she could see, he'd had nothing to drink, and that was very good.

"Hi there," she chimed to him from the side. "I'm Asta, and you are?" She was making no hesitation this time. She was starving, and he was perfect. Normally, things like this took time. Now was not one of those nights.

Mageling 10-23-2010 04:13 AM

Allen noticed the other vampire in the club, and made sure to stay out of his way. No sense in starting any trouble, especially when he had no idea how old the other one was. He kept an eye on Asta, just to see what she was doing. He hadn't had the chance to figure out her hunting style before now, and he was interested. His own style was more guerilla than hers seemed to be. He tended to slip in and out of the shadows more, so her method of presenting herself as bait intrigued him.

Scotch 10-23-2010 04:27 AM

Since she only went after men, and they were indeed men, Asta did what she knew that most women could very easily do; she flirted.
Smiling up to the man, Asta waited until finally, after being scrutinized, he finally smiled. "I'm Isaac," he said. "How are you?" And from there, it was Asta being all giggles and smiles, ordering a drink, and pretending to be just a little bit tipsy. Now mind you, she wasn't being sloppy, oh no, she kept herself composed. But in order to get what she wanted, she had to play her cards right, and from what it seemed, she certainly was. It was only a good ten or so minutes later that she could be seen dragging Isaac from the club, and out into the street somewhere.

"Now, where did you say your apartment was?" he asked curiously as they walked. Asta only giggled. "Right over here, silly," she said. Asta took a turn to the left, and down a relatively well lit alleyway that held a series of apartments and duplex buildings. Instead of turning to any one of the apartments, Asta pressed him against the wall, and within seconds, her mouth was to his neck.
Tonight, though, she was leaving the exception rule intact.
Sometimes, Asta would do something such as this, something to the point of this, allowing her victim to see her face. But with all the makeup she had on, being recognized was no real issue.

Isaac embraced her body, and the small kisses that she was pecking upon him, but soon enough, she began to nibble just a bit. Nothing out of the ordinary.
With a smile though, Asta pulled away, and took his hands, both of them, and pressed the pressure points at his wrists lightly, then, it was over. Asta was upon him like a cheetah on a rabbit. There was no threat, no real struggle, and she fed eagerly.

Mageling 10-23-2010 04:36 AM

Allen watched the whole thing with no small amount of jealousy. Of course, he knew she was just feeding, but he still didn't like other men getting her attention. He was a guy, after all. His attention was diverted when one of the tipsier girls in the club tried to flirt with him. Well, when his prey came to him... After a few minutes of his own flirting with her, he managed to get the girl into a dark, secluded corner and began to feed on her. He made sure not to take too much, and he ran his tongue over the punctures quickly to heal them. Then he went to find Asta. He could probably use one more victim for the night, but he wasn't in any big rush anymore.

Scotch 10-23-2010 05:14 AM

She knew her limits very well, she knew exactly how much she could take before she took a bit too much, and as she slipped away from Isaac and into the night, she wiped her mouth on the back of her hand, and her hand on her jeans.
When she approached the front of the club, there was Allen, stepping out, and just in time, too!
"Hello there, dear," she said as she jumped onto him. "I'm full. What about you?" Now was the part after feeding where she got slightly giggly, and very happy. She was full, and sleepy, and when that occurred, she was set for a very good night, or days rest.
